Objective To investigate the effects of Modifded DaHuang ZheChong Pill on T lymphocyte subpopulation of S180 tumor-bearing mice.Methods The mice were built to the S180 sarcoma model.The experimental animals were divided into 5 groups:High-dose Modifded DaHuang ZheChong Pill group.middle-dose Modifded DaHuang ZheChong Pill group,low-dose Modifded DaHuang ZheChong Pill group,model group,and normal group.The proportion of the T lymphocyte subpopulation was detected by Flow Cytometer in the different experimental groups.Results Modifded DaHuang ZheChong pill could control radio of CD4/CD8,especially,in the high dosage group.Conclusion Modifded DaHuang ZheChong Pill could remit and improve the immune function in tumor-bearing mice,showing the best results in High-dose Modifded DaHuang ZheChong Pill group.

Objective To assess the effects of protease 3(PR3)and protease-activated receptor (PAR)-2-activator on the maturation and functions of peripheral blood dendritic cell(DC)-like monocytes.Methods Density gradient centrifugation was used to isolate peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC)from Wegener's granulomatosis(WG)patients and healthy controls(HC).PBMC were stimulated by LPS,human PR3,trypsin,PAR-2-agonist peptide (PAR-2-AP),LPS+PR3 or LPS+trypsin for 24 h.Flow cytometry was used to analyze the expression of PAR-2,CD80,CD83,HLA-DR on stimulated DC-like monocytes-CD14+CD16high monocytes.ELISA kit was used to test the concentration of IL-6 in the culture supernants.Mann-Whitney non-parameteric test was used fur statistical analysis.Resuits No effect of PR3,trypsin and PAR-2-AP on the expression of PAR-2,CD80,CD83,HLA-DR of DC-like monoeytes was found.LPS could significantly induce PAR-2 expression in HC[from(5.8±1.5)%to(24.5±4.5)%,P=0.002]and the expression of CD80,CD83,HLA-DR in HC and WG;PR3,trypsin,PAR-2-AP and LPS could all stimulate the secretion of IL-6.Conclusion PR3 and PAR-2 pathway-activators can not promote PAR-2expression and maturation of DC-tike monocytes,but they can induce the secretion of IL-6.

Objective The aim of this study was to assess the status of protease-activated receptor-2(PAR-2) expression on the peripheral blood immune cells including dendritic cells(DC) of Wegener's granulo matosis(WG) patients.Methods Flow cytometry was used to analyze the expression of PAR-2 protein on peripheral blood immune cells,DC and DC-like monocytes of healthy controls (HC),inactive,active and different medicine-treated WG patients.Two-tail Mann Whitney non-parametric test was used for statistical analysis.Results There was no difference of PAR-2 expression on PMN,monocytes,lymphocytes and DC between WG patients and HC.However,PAR-2 expression on CD14+CD16+ (t=3.823,P=0.004) and CD64+CD16+ (t=2.652,P=0.024) DC-like monocytes was much higher in WG patients compared with HC.In active WG,expression of PAR-2 was up-regulated on the cell surface of PMN (t=2.690,P=0.013 ),monocytes (t=1.688,P=0.047),lymphocytes(t=1.742,P=0.038),BDCA3+DC(t=2.582,P=0.016),CD11c+DC(t=1.828,P=0.044),CD14+CD16+ (t=3.419,P=0.002)and CD64+CD16+ (t=3.494,P=0.005) DC-like monocytes when compared with inactive WG.PAR-2 expression on these cells was similar between cyclophosphamide (Cyc) and Methotrexate (MTX) treated WG patients.Conclusion PAR-2 expression on immune cells,DC and DC-like monocytes correlates with WG occurrence and development.There is no difference in the effects on PAR-2 expression between various medications.

The contents of sodium ion in Populus wutunensis, Populus simonii and Salix matsudana were 1034-1156 μg/L, 1493-1611 μg/L and 1586-1703 μg/L; potassium ion were 1012-1237 μg/L, 941-964 μg/L and 1095-1201 μg/L; calcium ion were 4976-5237 μg/L, 4786-5042 μg/L and 5893-6142 μg/L. The method could provide reliable data for the study of ion concentration changes of plant response to adapt to all kinds of external environment.

Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of endoscopic treatment in patients with primary hepatic carcinoma and gastroesophageal variceal hemorrhage. Methods Thirty cases of hepatic carcinoma with gastroesophageal variceal hemorrhage diagnosed with gastroscopy between January 2008 and June 2015 in Chinese PLA General Hospital and Hainan branch were included. Patients′ clinical data, complications and therapeutic effects of endoscopy were retrospectively analyzed. Results All patients underwent endoscopy successfully. No recurrent bleeding was found in any case after treatment. Eight cases of varicosis nearly disappeared. Six?month follow?up showed three cases of gastrointestinal bleeding, one case of death of bleeding, and no recurrence hemorrhage in 27 others. Conclusion Endoscopic treatment could safely and effectively control the primary liver cancer combined with gastroesophageal variceal hemorrhage, hence may provide opportunity for further treatment of liver cancer.

Rare sugars were defined as monosaccharides and their derivatives that rarely exist in nature. They played an important role in food, health, medicine and etc A strategy for bioproduction of rare sugars, namely Izumoring, was described. By the Izumoring method, all monosaccharides and polyols could be linked, using enzymatic reaction with D-tagatose 3-epimerase, aldose isomerases and polyol dehydrogenases. Izumoring for hexoses, pentoses and tetroses were designed respectively. According to this strategy, the bioproduction routes of various rare sugars, using microbial and enzymatic reactions, could be obtained. In addition, the future research tendency of biotransformation of rare sugars was put forward.

An extracellar fibrinolytic strain was isolated from fermented shrimp paste. In addition to general physiological and biochemical properties, the strain was identified by 16S rDNA sequence and systematic analysis. The results showed that 16S rDNA sequence of the strain had high similarity with AY601723 and AB195282, suggesting that the strain is a subspecies of Bacillus sp. It was named as Bacillus sp. nov. Objective To investigate ultrasonographic features of primary and metastatic ovarian yolk sac tumors.Methods Ultrasonographic features of 19 primary lesions and 33 metastatic lesions in 35 patients were retrospectively analyzed.Results Primary tumors were sized (14.6±3.6)cm in maximum diameter,manifesting as cysti-solid masses.Solid components of primary tumors were mainly hypoechoic or isoechoic(16/19)with rich blood supplies.Thirty-three metastatic lesions were located in pelvoceliac cavity(26/33) and liver parenchyma(7/33),sized (9.4±4.5)cm,(9.2±4.9)cm and (5.6±1.6)cm in maximum diameter respectively.Metastatic lesions in pelvoceliac lesions mainly demonstrated as hypoechoic masses(21/26), however lesions in the liver were mainly hyperechoic(5/7).Anechoic regions could be found in 9/26 of the pelvoceliac lesions.Blood supply was found less rich in metastatic masses than that in primary ones.Elevated serum level of alpha fetoprotein (AFP) was observed in all patients; ranging from 217 to 211 682 μg/L.Conclusions Primary and metastatic lesions of ovarian yolk sac tumor have obvious ultrasonographic characteristics.Combined with serum AFP level,the accuracy of diagnosis could be improved.
