Mucin antigen 4 (MUC4) is a molecular marker for some malignant tumors for early tumor diagnosis, prognosis and targeted therapy. It provides a new research direction in tumor diagnosis and treatment that will have a wide application prospect. In recent years, there has been a large number of research reports on the basic and clini-a wide application prospect. The characteristic,theory,fiber coatings,method development of solid-phase microextraction and its coupling with other analytical technologies were reviewed with 59 references.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the status quo and trend of the application of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances Ⅰ in Yangzhou area.METHODS: The narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances Ⅰ used in 124 hospitals of Yangzhou from 2005 to 2007 were analyzed in respect of consumption sum,DDDs and DDC etc. RESULTS: A total of 13 kinds of narcotic drugs and 4 psychotropic substances Ⅰ were used in the 124 hospitals,and the consumption sum of these drugs increased year on year.Fentanyl remained at the first place in terms of DDDs in each year,Remifentanil Hydrochloride for Injection and Sufentanil Citrate showed an obvious increasing trend in consumption,but the consumption of Bucinnazine Hydrochloride Injection(Tablet),Triazolam and Buprenorphine Hydrochloride Injection decreased to a large extent.CONCLUSION: The use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances Ⅰ in the 124 hospitals in Yangzhou area was basically in line with the standard.However,the DDDs of Pethidine Hydrochloride Injection had all along dominated the front place suggesting that clinicians should attach great importance to the standard treatment of cancer pain.

Objective To compare the effects of Valsartan on blood ressure(BP)of patients with mild to moderate essential hypertension(EH).Method 64 patients with EH were randomly divided into 2 groups:Valsartan group(Enalapril 10 mg bid n=32).Treatment lasted for 8 weeks.Result Valsartan and Enalapril significantly reduce BP compared with that bdfore treatment(P< 0.05),effective rate and magnitude of decreasing BP were no significantly different between two groups(effective rate of Valsartan group was 78.1％ vs 70.0％ in Enalapril group(P>0.05).Conclusion Valsartan and enalapril have effect for decreasing the BP in EH patients.

Recently,gene chip technology has become a rapidly developed biotechnology.It contains so many advantages including large-scale, high flux,and parallelism that it has been widely applied in many fields.In this paper,the updated advances on applications of gene chip technology to medicinal plant researches are discussed and the contents are ranged from isolation of differentially expressed genes,discovery of new genes,research on functional genomics,identification of Chinese materia medica,detection of genetically transformed medicinal plants,and the molecular mechanisms of medicinal plant pharmacology and their diseases as well.Some problems and prospects related to the technology are also briefly presented.

Despite the continuous improvement of cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB),renal dysfunction remains a frequent complication of cardiac surgery.Previous studies reported that the incidence of acute renal dysfunction following CPB was 7%-40%,while that of acute renal failure(ARF) was 1%-10%.In those who developed ARF,the prognosis was poor,with mortality of about 40%-80%.The present paper reviews the mechanism,risks and available preventive measures of acute renal injury following CPB.
