Statins not only reduce the incidence of ischemic stroke but also have the neuroprotective effect on ischemic stroke. Experimental studies in recent years have found that the neuroprotective effect of statins is achieved by multiple mechanisms, in which the regulation of microvascular endothelial barrier is a new mechanism. This article reviews the advances in re-search on this mechanism.

Guided method was used in the Clinical Laboratory Instrument courses to guide students with inquiry-based learning problems,breaking the traditional"cramming"teaching,learning and giving full play the initiative and enthusiasm,stimulateing students'interest in learning to optimize the teaching process and improve the quality of teaching.

Objective:To develop an HPLC-DAD method for the simultaneous determination of seven alkaloid constitutents, so-phoranholN-oxide, oxymatrine, sophoridine, oxysophocarpine, sophoranol, matrine and sophocarpine in Sophora flavescens Ait. Meth-ods:The chromatographic separation was performed on an Agilent Zorbax C18 column (150 mm × 4. 6 mm, 5μm) with 10 mmol·L-1 NH4Ac(0.1% ammonia, pH=9.0)(A)-acetonitrile-methanol(1 ∶22) containing 20 mmol·L-1NH4Ac(B) as the mobile phase with gradient elution at the flow rate of 1 ml·min-1 . The detection wavelength was set at 220 nm,and the column temperature was maintained at 30 ℃. Results: SophoranholN-oxide, oxymatrine, sophoridine, oxysoph-ocarpine, sophoranol, matrine and sopho-carpine was linear within the range of 0.093-1.860 μg(r =0.999 6) , 0.530-10.600 μg (r =0.999 7), 0.062-1.240 μg (r =0. 999 8), 0. 281-5. 620 μg (r=0. 999 9), 0. 026-0. 520 μg (r=0. 999 8) ,0. 036-0. 720 μg (r=0. 999 7) and 0. 032-0. 640 μg (r=0. 999 6), respectively. The average recovery was 97. 5%, 98. 2%, 99. 0%, 99. 4%, 99. 2%, 98. 2% and 98. 7%, and RSD was 1. 18%, 0. 92%, 1. 43%, 1. 04%, 0. 81%, 0. 43% and 0. 88%(n =6), respectively. Conclusion:The method is convenient, accurate and reproducible in the quality control of multicomponents in Sophora flavescens Ait.

Objective To study the testicular ultrastructure in CBAVD patients. Methods Ultrastructure of testicular tissue was studied in 13 CBAVD patients with azospermia whereas the testicular morphology under light microscopy was normal. Results The presence of thickening,multilayered,finger shaped protuberent to seminiferous tubules in variable degrees in basement membrane was confirmed at ultrastructural level in 13 CBAVD patients.Collagen fibres revealed an increase in number,proliferation,disturbance in variable degrees and no polarity in all the 13.Malformed heads,metachromatic granules nuclei with abundant bulla,full or partial absence of middle mitochondria sheath were seen in most of spermatozoa.Of 5 cases,invagination and low electronic density layered materials were presented in acrosome and acrosomal cyst respectively.Most of sertoli cells presented abundant lipid droplets and degradative bodies in their cytoplasm in all cases.In 2 cases,tight junctions between sertoli cells were not found. Conclusions Microstructural alteration of testicular tissue,especially conspicuous in spermatozoa and in the limiting lamina of testis,might be a contributory cause of azospermia in addition to the clinical absence of vas deferens.

OBJECTIVE:To develop a HPLC method for simultaneous determinatio n of ofloxacin and dexamethasone ac?etate in compound ofloxacin ear drops.METHODS:The analysis was carried on a XDB-C 8 ,the mobile phase was composed of methanol-potassium dihydrogen phosphate(0.02mol/L)by gradient elution,the flow rate was1.0ml/min,the column tem?perature was30℃and the detection wavelength was at240nm.RESULTS:The detectable concentrations of ofloxacin and dexamethasone acetate showed good linear correlation in the ranges of100～500?g/ml and10～30?g/ml respectively,the av?erage recoveries of ofloxacin and dexamethasone acetate were100.6%(RSD=0.46%,n=9)and101.3%(RSD=0.72%,n=9)respectively.CONCLUSION:The method is accurate and reproducible and can be used for determination of ofloxacin and dexamethasone acetate in compound ofloxacin ear drops.

Cerebral infarction is not only a focal damage,but also causes secondary damage in areas remote from the ischemic territory,which will retard the recovery of neurological function.Ephrin receptor B2 (EphB2) plays an important role in the development and repair mechanism of central nervous system.Blocking the effect of EphB2 in brain by using a specific inhibitor may enhance proliferation and migration of endogeneous neuronal stem cells after experimental cerebral infarc- tion,improve neurological function and influence angiogenesis and neuroplasticity in remote sites.It is expected to become a new approach for decreasing damages in areas remote from the cerebral infarction and promoting the recovery of neurological function.

Objective To investigate the clinical features and related risk factors of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)in Xinjiang area for early diagnosis and prevention.Methods Retrospective case-control study was done to explore the clinical features and related risk factors of NAFLD with Logistic regression analysis.Results Levels of serum ALT increased significantly in the patients with NAFLD and were often more than 2-fold of the normal limit;serum AST was only increased mildly.Obesity,type 2 diabetes mellitus,heart and brain blood vessel disease and hyperlipidemia were syndromes of NAFLD.BMI、DBP、high lipid food、serum TG、serum ApoB were negatively correlated with the occurrence of NAFLD,while serum HDL was positively correlated with the occurance of NAFLD.Conclusion BMI、DBP、high lipid food、serum TG and serum ApoB may be independent risk factors of NAFLD.To prevent NAFLD and its syndromes,periodical physical examination,changing bad life styles and controlling obesity are most important.
