OBJECTIVE:To study the HPLC fingerprints of Rheum palmatum planted in Kangding area.METHODS:The samples were separated on a Shim-pack ODS(150 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m)with column temperature kept at 30 ℃;the mobile phase consisted of 0.1% H3PO4 methanol-0.1% H3PO4 aqueous solution by linear gradient elution with a flow rate of 1.0 mL?min-1 and detection wavelength of 280 nm.RESULTS:The HPLC fingerprints of Rheum palmatum planted in Kangding area had been established in which 56 common peaks were noted.Similarity of ten batches crude medicines was calculated,and a common template was set up.CONCLUSION:The established method is simple and feasible and by which the general quality of Rheum palmatum planted in Kangding area can be reflected.

Recently many studies have focused on the roles that tumor microenvironment plays in the occurrence and development of tumors,and the therapeutic effects of adjuvant chemotherapy and neoadjuvant chemotherapy.Recent researches show that tumor microenvironment has an obvious impact on the therapeutic effects of neoadjuvant chemotherapy,which mainly includes cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAF),stromal cell derived factor-1 (SDF-1) and collagens.

Objective To establish a method of preparing metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablet and its content determination. Methods The formulation was optimized through the orthogonal design test by using release rate of the drug as an indicator.The different batches of metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablets were determined by HPLC. Results The tablets could release drug steadily and slowly as designed,which was similar to imported tablets. The linear range of metoprolol succinate was 10-70 μg?mL-1( r=0.999 8) . Conclusion The releasing rate of metoprolol succinate sustained-release tablet prepared in optimum condition can meet the requirement. This preparation technology is simple, the assay method is rapid, sensitive and reproducible.

AIM:To research the effect of safflower in renal intertistial fibrosis by GFR and renal biopsypathology with Sprague-Dnwley(SD) rat model.METHODS:All rats were distributed into 6 groups.Group A was normal control,group B received sham operation,group C was vehicle control,group D received vehicle,group E received safflower(10(g?kg~(-1)) body(wt?d~(-1))),and group F received enalapril((12.5)(mg?kg~(-1)) body(wt?d~(-1))).Rats underwent reversible left renal vein obstruction for 6 d,after which the obstruction was relieved.Renal function was determined by measuring GFR with inulin clearances.Both renal tubular epithelial cells(RTECs) and fibronection deposition for renal interstitial fibrosis were identified by immunohistochemistry.The positive and negative areas of per slice was determined by a motic medical 6.0 graphical analytical system.Atrophic tubules were determined by measuring the tubule diameter.10 fields per slice were analyzed at ?400 magnification.RESULTS:Return of glomerular filtration rate(GFR) was seen in group E and goup F,which was significantly better than group D(P

Purpose To investigate the expression of secreted frizzled-related protein 4 (SFRP4) and to evaluate its clinical significance in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).Methods RT-PCR was performed to analyze SFRP4 mRNA expression level in 30 paired PDAC lesion and matched adjacent non-tuimor tissue.Immunohistochemistry staining detection of 205 matched cases tissue microarray was conducted to explore SFRP4 protein expression pattern.The correlation between SFRP4 and clinical characteristics was also analyzed,including overall survival.Results SFRP4 expression pattern both at mRNA and protein level in PDAC lesion was higher than that in matched adjacent non-tumor tissue.At mRNA level,to found that expression of SFRP4 was elevated in 90％ (27/30) of PDAC tissues (P =0.007 2).To found that high expression of SFRP4 was detected in 56.5％ (116/205) of PDAC tissue,while only 28.8％ (59/205) in the adjacent non-tumor tissue.Moreover,no significant association was observed between SFRP4 expression and clinical characteristics.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis showed high level of SFRP4 expression was correlated with poor overall survival (x2 =3.467,P =0.024).Conclusion SFRP4 can be a novel prognostic biomarker in PDAC.

Objective To compare tbe efficacy of conventional therapy,psychotherapy,serotonin reuptake in- hibitor,and psychotherapy combined with serotonin reuptake inhibitor in rehabilitating nerve function in the treatment of post-stroke depression.Methods One hundred and twenty patients with post-stroke depression were divided into a control group(A),a group treated with serotonin reuptake inhibitor (B),a psychotherapy group (C) and a group in which psychotherapy was combined with serotonin rcuptake inhibitor(D).These groups were graded with the SDS for the degree of their depression and with the MESSS for their muscle strength before andafter treatment.Results The anti-depression therapies showed significantly different effects in improving depression.After eight weeks,group D showed significantly less depression than the others.However,muscle strength did not show statistically significant differences until twelve weeks,when group D again showed better progress than the others.Conclusion Psychothera- py combined with serotonin reuptake inhibitor can promote the rehabilitation of nervous function-after stroke.

The effedt of ligustrum lucidum(LL)and acanthopanax senticosus(AS)on T cells was observed by Ea rosette formation and lymphocyte stimulation test with diff- erent experimental conditions.Both of the two drugs can promote the response of lymphocyte to PHA,but can not stimulate al one lymphocytes to proliferate.LL can raise EaRFC% of lymphocyte and accelerate the restoration of the EaRFC% of trypsin-treated lymphocytes,but AS not.AS can antagonize the inhibition of hydr- ocortisone,but LL not,In this paper,the mechanisms of the action of the two drugs were discussed.
