Objective To explore the therapy effect of candesartan plus CSDP on elderly hypertensive patients with renal dysfunction.Methods Eighty elderly patients with essential hypertension and renal dysfunction were selected as our subjects.All subjects were randomly divided into candesartan group and candesartan + CSDP group,every group for 40 subjects.Patients in candesartan group were treated with 4 mg candesartan once per day for 6 months.Patients in candesartan + CSDP group were given CSDP 10 capsules three times / day beside 4 mg candesartan,once per day for 6 months.The levels of Cr,BUN,Ccr changes were measured.Results Two therapy strategies can decrease blood pressure and the decrease rate of blood pressure in candesartan + CSDP group was higher than that of candesartan group.The level of Cr,BUN in patients with candesartan + CSDP group after treatment performing were (104.6 ± 6.5) μmol/L,(6.21 ± 4.80) mmol/L,lower than that in before treatment (196.8 ± 2.6) μ mol/L,(9.84 ± 3.20) mmol/L.And the Ccr increased from (58.1 ± 4.9)ml/min to (117.2 ± 6.4)ml/min.The differences were significant (t =2.213,2.302,2.136,P ＜ 0.05).However the differences between before and after treatment with only candesartan treat weren't significant (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Candesartan + CSDP might show a synergistic effect compared with candesartan in term of curing elderly hypertensive patients with renal dysfunction.

Objective To study the expression of human kallikrein gene(KLK) 4 and KLK5 in ovarian cancers,and to investigate the pathogenesis in malignant tumors. Methods Fifty specimens of ovarian cancers were divided into three groups: malignant tumor group(n=23),borderline tumor group(n=6) and control group(normal or benign tumor,n=21).Fluorescent quantitative RT-PCR was employed to determine the expression of KLK4 and KLK5 in these specimens. Objective:To investigate the status of rumination in patients with primary glaucomatous visual field defect and explore the influencing factors.Methods:Totally 267 patients with primary glaucomatous visual field defect were selected via convenience sampling method. Invasive rumination, purpose rumination, and self-management behaviors among different visual field were compared. The main influencing factors of invasive rumination and purpose rumination were analyzed.Results:Total score of rumination in patients with primary glaucomatous visual field defect was (29.90±5.58) points, average item score of self-management behaviors was (2.81±0.31) points. There were no significant difference in invasive rumination, purpose rumination, self-management behaviors among different visual field ( P>0.05). Accidental injury, life adjustment, income of family per mouth and degree of education could explain 30.7% of the total invasive rumination variation; disease management, body function promotion and accidental injury could explain 11.1% of the total purpose rumination variation. Conclusions:Rumination and self-management behaviors in patients with primary glaucomatous visual field were at a lower middle level and middle level respectively. Medical staff should attach importance to assess the invasive rumination among these patients with accidental injury, poor ability of life adjustment, low income of family per mouth and low degree of education. Through lowering the negative experience, changing the cognitive and taking correct self-management behaviors, then prognosis of disease would be improved.

Objective To investigate the expression changes of nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-kB) and intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)in rats with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP)and the effect of pretreatment of pioglitazone,a specific peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor?(PPAR?),)ligand, on the development of SAP.Methods Fifty-four SD rats were divided into sham operation group(C), SAP group(A)and pioglitazone pretreatment group(Ⅰ).The SAP was induced by retrograde infusion of 5% sodium taurocholate(0.1 ml/100 g)into the biliopancreatic duct.The rats inⅠgroup were intraperi- toneally injected with pioglitazone(2 mg/100 g)two hours before operation.The rats were sacrificed at 3,6 and 12 hrs,the blood,ascites and pancreatic tissues were collected(6 rats once for each group). The expressions of NF-kB and ICAM-1 in pancreatic tissues were measured by immunochemistry,mean- while the serum amylase,the amount of ascitic,pancreatic wet/dry ratio were measured.The pathologi- cal changes of pancreatic tissues were observed by immunochemistry staining with hematoxylin and eosin and the score of the tissues were evaluated.Results Pretreatment with pioglitazone could significantly attenuated the severity of SAP,including reduction of amylase and ascites,and the mass and pathological scores of the pancreatic tissue were decreased after 6 hrs of medication.The expression of ICAM-1 and NF-kB activity were inhibited.Conclusions Above findings demonstrate that pioglitazone can attenuate the severity of SAP by inhibition of ICAM-1 expression and NF-kB activation.The beneficial effects of pioglitazone might be due to its anti-inflammatory activities.The pioglitazone can be used as a new drug in treatment of SAP.

Tetrabromobisphenol A(TBBPA)is supposed to have potential thyroid disrupting activities due to its similar structure to thyroid hormones.TBBPA has been proved to show thyroid disrupting effects in vivo and in vitro studies.TBBPA might disrupt thyroid hormone system through transthyretin- and thyroid receptor-mediated pathways.The ability of TBBPA inducing the production of reactive oxygen species might be the extension of its thyroid disrupting activities.The thyroid disrupting effects of TBBPA might be closely related to its oxidative stress,reproduction toxicity and neurotoxicity.More experiments are required for the effects of TBBPA on the aquatic and amphibian animals.
