Objective To observe the real-time and short-term anti-hypertension efficacy of ear apex bloodletting plus acupoint thread embedding. Method Eighty-three eligible hypertension patients were randomized into group A of 28 cases, group B of 29 cases and group C of 26 cases. Group A was intervened by bloodletting at ear apex, group B was by acupoint thread embedding, and group C was by bloodletting at ear apex plus acupoint thread embedding. The blood pressure was recorded 5 min before intervention, as well as 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, and 60 min following intervention, and the real-time anti-hypertension efficacy was compared. By analyzing the blood pressure before treatment and after 1-month treatment, the short-term anti-hypertension efficacy was compared. Result In group A and group C, the systolic and diastolic pressures at 15 min, 30 min, and 60 min after treatment were significantly different from that at 5 min before treatment (P<0.05). The total effective rate was 60.7% in group A, 51.7%in group B, and 80.8% in group C. The therapeutic efficacy of group C was significantly different from that of group A and B (P<0.05). The total effective rates for grade 1 and grade 2 hypertension were respectively 84.6%and 40.4%in group A, 76.9%and 31.3% in group B, and 100.0% and 64.3% in group C. In the three groups, the therapeutic efficacy for grade 1 hypertension was markedly different from that for grade 2 hypertension (P<0.05). Conclusion Bloodletting at ear apex can produce a significant anti-hypertension effect, and bloodletting at ear apex plus acupoint thread embedding is an effective method in treating hypertension.
2.Activated expression of matrix metalloproteinase is involved in the proliferation of MC3T3-E1 cells induced by lipopolysaccharide
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(24):3865-3869
BACKGROUND:Matrix metal oproteinases and their inhibitors are proteolytic enzymes contaning Zn+, and involved in extracel ular matrix degradation and tissue remodeling of a variety of tissues. OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of matrix metal oproteinases in the proliferation of MC3T3-E1 cel s induced by lipopolysaccharide. METHODS:MC3T3-E1 cel line was divided into four groups randomly:control group, low-dose lipopolysaccharide group (1μmol/L), moderate-dose lipopolysaccharide group (10μmol/L), and high-dose lipopolysaccharide group (100μmol/L). The proliferation rate in each group was analyzed. Matrix metal oproteinase 2, 3, 9 and matrix metal oproteinase inhibitor 1 and 2 expressions were detected. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The proliferation rate was increased greatly after medication of lipopolysaccharide in time-dependent and concentration-dependent manners. Moreover, the expressions of matrix metal oproteinases and their inhibitors were apparently enhanced, and showed significant differences. Results indicate that the enhanced expressions of matrix metal oproteinases participated in the proliferation of MC3T3-E1 cel s induced by lipopolysaccharide.

4.Integrins and cardiovascular diseases
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(04):-
The adhesion of cells to each other and to the proteins of the extracellular matrix provides a stable environment for cell growth, differentiation and migration. This is a prerequisite for the normal function of the cardiovascular system. Thus the abnormal adhesion function may play a key role in the pathogenesis and development of cardiovascular diseases. To date, there are six main groups of adhesion molecule, and integrins family are the largest and most broadly distributed of the families of cellular adhesion receptors. They have an important role in several aspects of cardiovascular diseases and that its regulated inhibition leads to a reduction in incidence and mortality due to these disorders. This review focuses upon the structure、mechanism and their roles in cardiovascular diseases which maybe facilitate the development of novel therapies.

Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2011;32(7):717-720
Objective: To observe the effect of andrographolide on the expression of TNF-α and IL-12 in activated macrophages. Methods: The peritoneal macrophages were harvested from mice intraperitoneally injected with thioglycollate. The macrophages were pretreated with andrographolide and then stimulated with lipopolysaccharide. RT-PCR was used to examine the expression of TNF-α, IL-12a, and IL-12b in the macrophages, and ELISA was used to measure the protein levels of TNF-α and IL-12 in the supernatant. Results: Andrographolide inhibited the mRNA levels of TNF-α, IL-12a, and IL-12b, and the protein levels of TNF-α and IL-12 in activated macrophages, and the inhibition increased with the increase of andrographolide concentration. Andrographolide at 12 μg/ml (P<0.05) and 25 μg/ml (P<0.01) significantly inhibited TNF-α mRNA level in macrophages; andrographolide at 1 μg/ml (P<0.05) and 12 μg/ml (P< 0.01) significantly inhibited TNF-α protein level (P<0.01). Andrographolide at 1 μg/ml significantly inhibited IL-12b mRNA level and at 12 μg/ml significantly inhibited IL-12a mRNA level (P<0.01); and andrographolide at 1 μg/ml also significantly inhibited IL-12 protein level (P<0.01). Conclusion: Andrographolide can inhibit both the expression of TNF-α and IL-12 in activated macrophages.
