Causative factors of multi-drug resistance tuberculosis (MDR-TB) were analyzed from iatrogenic angles, patients themselves, and society. Reviewed was the development of treatment strategies for MDR-TB from directly observed treatment short-course (DOTS) to DOTS-Plus. The history of Chinese medicine (CM) fighting TB and characteristics at the present stage were also analyzed. Authors pointed out that CM pays attention not only to killing pathogens and confirms the necessity of getting rid of pathogens, but also to cascade response caused by pathogens. It also regards the occurrence and development of MDR-TB as a whole by combining patients' conditions, climatic, geographic, psychological, and social factors. Authors believed that therapeutic principles under guidance of CM holistic view are of positive significance and inspiration in treating MDR-TB, and emphasized holistic view as basic strategies for treating MDR-TB, but not a single countermeasure.

Objective To approach the advantages and summarize the experience of mesh & plug tension-free hernia repair. MethodsThe mesh & plug tension-free hernia repair was administered in 102 patients of groin hernia with the BardR Mesh & PerfixR plug offered by Bard Company in U. S. A. The operation time,postoperative pain,patient's ability recovery, complications and recurrence rate were followed up. ResultsThe average operation time was 31.5minutes. The patients could move 4～6 hours after operation. Postoperative pain lasted about 2～3 days. One had retention of urine and two had wound subcutaneous hydrops. No wound infection. Nine had feeling of foreign matter in the groin region. Only one had recurrence in 89 patients who were followed-up. ConclusionBardR Mesh & PerfixR Plug has good tissue-compatibility,no rejection,and capability of anti-infection. It is an ideal material for hernia repair. The mesh & plug tension-free hernia repair is easy to be administered, with minor lesion, quicker recovery and lower recurrence. And the operation indication can be widened. It is a most advanced method in treating groin hernia.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate clinical efficacy and safety of levetiracetam add-on therapy in the treatment of elderly epileptic patients. METHODS:Totally 88 elderly epileptic patients in Chongqing Yunyang County Hospital of TCM during Jan. 2014-Jan. 2016 were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table,with 44 cases in each group. Control group was given routine antiepileptic therapy of carbamazepine+phenobarbital;observation group was additionally given Levetiracetam tablet with initial dose of 0.25g,increasing to 0.5 g according to disease condition,bid,on the basis of con-trol group. Treatment courses of 2 groups lasted for 6 months. Clinical efficacies,GCS score,Barthel index score,MoCA score and the occurrence of ADR were observed in 2 groups. RESULTS:Total response rate,control rate and MoCA score of observation group were significantly higher than those of control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05). GCS and Barthel index score of 2 group after treatment were significantly higher than before treatment,and those 2 scores of observation group were significantly higher than those of control group,with statistical significance (P<0.05). No obvious ADR was found in 2 groups. CONCLU-SIONS:Levetiracetam add-on therapy is better than routine therapy plan in the treatment of elderly epilepsy,and significantly re-duce coma degree,increase daily living ability and cognitive function with good safety.

Objective:To construct eukaryotic expression vector for anti-human melanoma chimeric antibody,and express the antibody in eukaryotic cells.Methods:Variable regions of the murine antibody were cloned from the anti-human melanoma hybridoma cell line HB8459,HB8760,Mel3,and was inserted them into the chimeric antibody eukaryotic expression vector pMH-CA.The constructed vector was transfected into 293T,the chimeric antibody was expressed,as detected by RT-PCR,ELISA,and Western blot.Results:Eukaryotic expression vectors of the chimeric antibody against human melanoma were successfully constructed,and expressed in eukaryotic cells.The expression of chimeric gene was confirmed by RT-PCR,specificity of the chimeric antibody was proved by ELISA and Western blot.Conclusion:Anti-human melanoma chimeric antibody was expressed successfully.

Objective To compare tension-free repair and traditional hernia repair of inguinal hernia in the elderly patients. Methods During the period from 2000 to 2001,84 aged patients of scheduled for repair of inguinal hernia were randomized to tension-free repair or traditional hernia repair. The patients were followed up for two years. Results Tension-free repair of inguinal hernia was a simple procedure causing less trauma and operative time, fewer complications and recurrence. Conclusion Tension-free repair of inguinal hernia is superior to traditional hernia repair in the elderly patients.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the proteasome inhibitor bortezomib induces acute myelogenous leukemia cell lines TF1 and NB4 apoptosis and its effect on SALL4 gene expression. METHODS: Cell proliferations were analyzed by MTT assay. Flow cytometry was used to analyze cell apoptosis rate. SALL4 protein was detected by immunocytochemistry. The expressions of SALL4 gene were detected by Real-time PCR. SALL4 proteins in two cell lines were detected by Western Blotting. RESULTS: MTT assay showed bortezomib inhibited the proliferations of two cell lines in a time-and-does manner. TF1 and NB4 cells' 48 h IC50 were (29.15 ± 0.55) and (30.55 ± 0.74) nmol · L-1 respectively. Flow cytometry showed bortezomib could induce apoptosis of two cell lines in a dose-dependent manner. Immunocytochemistry analysis revealed that both of two cell lines expressed SALL4 proteins which located in cell nucleus. Real-time PCR demonstrated that SALL4 genes were down-regulated after cells were treated by different concentrations(10, 30, 50 nmol · L-1) of bortezomib for 24 h, and bortezomib 50 nmol · L-1 groups' genes were down-regulated to 45.11% (TF1) and 69.77% (NB4) respectively comparing with the control groups (P < 0.05). Western blotting revealed that both of the cell lines expressed SALL4B proteins and which could be inhibited by bortezomib in a time-and-does manner. CONCLUSION: Bortezomib can significantly inhibit two cell lines proliferation and induce apoptosis, meanwhile down-regulate the expressions of SALL4 gene. ObjectiveTo observe effects of Fentanyl Transdermal System and Sanlitong on pain of hemorrhoids patients after operation of micro wave heating among tissue.Methods60 hemorrhoids patient whom were treated by micro wave heating among tissue were randomly divided into group A and group B. Patients of group A had Fentanyl Transdermal System affixed on navel position. Patients of group B taken Sanlitong. Effects of two groups were estimated with McGill Questionnaire.ResultsThere was a significant difference between pain scores of two groups in one or two weeks after hemorrhoids operation. The ease pain effect of Fentanyl Transdermal System was better than that of Sanlitong tablet within two weeks after operation.ConclusionThe Fentanyl Transdermal System is a safe, simple and better effect medicament type for ease the pain when treating hemorrhoids with method of micro wave heating among tissue.
