Literatures on knee osteoarthritis treated by acupuncture both in China and abroad published in the mainstay periodicals in recent 10 years were selected, and analyses were done in the following aspects: (1) Randomization, (2) Control group, (3) Sample size, (4) Intervention measurements, (5) Intervention periods, (6) Evaluation on therapeutic effects, (7) Follow-up assessment, (8) Adverse effects, (9) Ratio of the lost case. The result indicates that differences can still be found on the trial designation in China and abroad. The domestic research design should be more comprehensively and strictly.

Objective To explore the proliferation characteristics of primary small intestinal epithelial cells of tree shrews and the characteristics of human rotavirus(RV) G1P[8] infection to these cells,and establish a model of tree shrew primary small intestinal epithelial cells infected with human rotavirus G1P[8].Methods The primary small intestinal epithelial cells were obtained by collagenase Ⅺ and dispase I digestion from tree shrew.After purification and identification,the obtained primary small intestinal epithelial cells were infected with RV.Then,culture supernatants of infected cells were collected every 12 hours after infection.Viral titer and viral load were subsequently determined.Western blot and indirect immunofluorescence observation were used to detect the expression of RV protein VP6 in the primary cells.The infectivity of RV to the tree shrew primary cells was finally evaluated.Results After purification and identification of primary epithelial cells from the tree shrew,high purity above 90% primary tree shrew small intestinal epithelial cells was obtained.These primary small intestinal epithelial cells could be infected with RV virus by comparing the virus infectivity to primary renal cells,HCT116 cells and MA104 cells.The virus titer reached to 2.0×105TCID 50/mL at 72 h after infection.Using Western blot and indirect immunofluorescence observation,the specific viral protein of VP6 was determined to be expressed in the tree shrew primary small intestinal epithelial cells,and were located in the cytoplasm from days 1 to 5.Conclusions The separation,purification and cultivation methods of tree shrew primary small intestinal epithelial cells are successful,and the tree shrew model of RV-infected the tree shrew primary small intestinal epithelial cells is successfully established.

Objective To analyze changes of three periodical circulation systems,erythrocyte sedimentation rate and bone marrow cell morphology in children with malaria.Methods The routine tests of hematology by Sysmex KX-21 Counter, erythrocyte sedimentation rate by Westergren method and bone marrow cell morphology were analyzed. Results In 22 cases of malaria the ratio of Hb level below 110 g/L,WBC below 4?10~9/L and PLT below 100?10~9/L was 68.2%, 41.0%, and 77.3%,respectively. The ratio of children with all three parameters (Hb, WBC and PLT) abnormal was 36.4%, with two parameters abnormal was 63.6%. Ninty-five point five percent of malaria children′s erythrocyte sedimentation rate was abnormal. Fifty-nine point one percent of malaria children had hyperplasia anemia bone marrow morphology, 77.3% secondary thrombocytopenia and 54.5% with both of two bone marrow morphology.Conclusions Three periodical circulation systems of malaria children alter notably, especially in PLT and Hb. The majority has erythrocyte sedimentation rate abnormal, and bone marrow cell morphology shows hyperplasia anemia and thrombocytopenia.

Objective:To establish the control charts for early warning of diarrhea based on the syn-dromic surveillance data from enteric clinic in Beijing .Methods:The outpatient data from enteric clinic of a Grade Three General hospital in Haidian district , Beijing from April 1 to Oct.31, 2009 and from May 1 to Nov.10, 2010 were collected, according to the moving average method , the baseline calcula-ted, the value of probability αand μα, the early warning value based on the formula “w=Xj +μαSj”calculated and the early warning control charts drew at last .Results:According to the harmfulness , the severity and controllability of diarrheal diseases , the value of probability αwas determined as 0.01, thenμα( unilateral) as 2, based on the early warning value , the control charts of diarrheal diseases , bacillary dysentery and other infectious diarrhea were established .Conclusion:The enteric clinic requires to fur-ther collect baseline data to evaluate and continuously adjust the established control charts for the best early warning model in accordance with the enteric clinic .

OBJECTIVETo compare the therapeutic effect and indication between standard large trauma craniotomy and routine craniotomy.

METHODSThere were 97 patients in the standard large trauma craniotomy group and 110 patients in the routine craniotomy group. The mortality, postoperative ICP (intracranial pressure), ratio of pupil rebound, complication and results of six month follow-up after operation were compared between the two groups.

RESULTSFifteen patients (15.6%) died in the standard large trauma craniotomy group and 30 (27.7%) in the routine craniotomy group. The postoperative mean ICP was 3.75 kPa+/-1.89 kPa in the standard large trauma craniotomy group and 5.11 kPa+/-1.57 kPa in the routine craniotomy group. The pupil rebound was found in 47 patients (61.0%) in the standard large trauma craniotomy group and in 41 patients (46.1%) in the routine craniotomy group (P<0.01). The rate of complication was lower in the standard large trauma craniotomy group, but no obvious difference in long-term therapeutic effect was found between the two groups.

CONCLUSIONSStandard large trauma craniotomy can attenuate brain hernia and the mortality of the patients with acute subdural hematoma. The incidence of complication can also be decreased. But the long term life quality of the patients can not be improved.

OBJECTIVETo explore the best acupoints for the treatment of herpes zoster.

METHODSTwo hundred cases were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 100 cases in each one. In observation group, meridian-collateral electric information diagnosis and treatment instrument was used to detect meridian and collateral so as to find out the relevant "sick meridian open" for electric stimulation, bloodletting and cupping. In control group, Acyclovir was administered orally.

RESULTSIn observation group, it had been dectcted that "sick meridian open" were mostly localized in Ashi point (Extra), Zhangmen (LR 13), Daimai (GB 26), Qimen (LR 14), Dabao (SP 15), etc. The totally effective rate in observation group was 100.0% (100/100) that was superior to 60.0% (60/100) in control group (P < 0.000 1). Additionally, the time for pain relief, blister relief and scarring in observation group was shorter obviously than that in control group (P < 0.000 1). There was no case of post-herpetic neuralgia in observation group, but the incidence of it in control group was 26.0% (26/100).

CONCLUSIONMeridian-collateral diagnosis and treatment instrument detects "sick meridian open" for electric stimulation and bloodletting and cupping in the treatment of herpes zoster, which can effectively relieve pain and prevent from post-herpetic neuralgia promptly.

To verify the effect of echinacoside on replication and antigen expression of hepatitis B virus (HBV) by using HBV-transfected HepG2. 2. 15 cells as the in vitro model. The ELISA method was used to determine HBeAg and HBsAg levels in cellular supernatants. The effect of echinacoside on HBV replication was studied by using HBV transgenic mice as the in vivo model. First of all, the HBV DNA level in hepatic tissues was quantified with PCR method. Meanwhile, the serum transaminase levels and hepatic pathological changes were also evaluated. Subsequently, HBV transgenic mice were divided into five groups: the control group, the lamivudine group (50 mg · kg(-1)) and echinacoside high, medium and low dose group (50, 25 and 12.5 mg · kg(-1)). The mice were orally administered with drugs once per day for 30 days. At the 31st day, the mice serum was separated to measure HBsAg, HBeAg and HBV DNA. Additionally, the liver HBV DNA level and histopathological change were detected. The results indicated that echinacoside at 50 and 100 mg · L(-1) suppressed significantly HBsAg and HBeAg expressions on the sixth day, with the maximum inhibition ratios of 42.68% and 46.29%; And echinacoside at 100 mg · L(-1) also showed an inhibitory effect on HBV DNA. Besides, echinacoside at 50 mg · kg(-1) inhibited significantly HBsAg and HBeAg expressions of HBV transgenic mice, with the inhibition ratios of 42.82% and 29.12%, and reduced markedly the serum HBV DNA level in HBV transgenic mice. In conclusion, the study suggested that echinacoside has a strong effect against HBV replication and antigen expression.

OBJECTIVETo study the clonality of polygonal cells and surface cuboidal cells in the so-called pulmonary sclerosing hemangioma (PSH).

METHODS17 female surgically resected PSH were found. The polygonal cells and surface cuboidal cells of the 17 PSH cases were microdissected from routine hematoxylin and eosin-stained sections. Genomic DNA was extracted, pretreated through incubation with methylation-sensitive restrictive endonuclease HhaI or HpaII, and amplified by nested polymerase chain reaction for X chromosome-linked androgen receptor (AR) and phosphoglycerate kinase (PGK) genes. The length polymorphism of AR gene was demonstrated by denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and silver staining. The PGK gene products were treated with Bst XI and resolved on agarose gel.

RESULTSAmongst the 17 female cases of PSH, 15 samples were successfully amplified for AR and PGK genes. The rates of polymorphism were 53% (8/15) and 27% (4/15) for AR and PGK genes respectively. Polygonal cells and surface cuboidal cells of 10 cases which were suitable for clonality study, showed the same loss of alleles (clonality ratio = 0) or unbalanced methylation pattern (clonality ratio < 0.25).

CONCLUSIONSThe polygonal cells and surface cuboidal cells in PSH demonstrate patterns of monoclonal proliferation, indicating that both represent true neoplastic cells.

Objective: To explore the clinical application of individualized design of facial artery perforator flap for the repair of midfacial defect caused by tumor resection. Methods: From January 2015 to January 2018, a total of 36 cases of midfacial defect were repaired by individualized designed facial artery. Flaps were designed and harvested according to the location and size of the midfacial defect resulted from tumor resection, including propeller flaps, droplet flaps and swallowtail-shape flaps. Flap size was between 1.3 cm × 1.6 cm and 2.0 cm × 4.2 cm with the donor site being sutured in the first stage. Results: During the 6 months to 3 years of postoperative follow-up, no tumor recurred. All the 36 cases of individualized designed facial artery perforator flaps survived well. Furthermore, flaps being designed according to the wound defect had a good appearance, the flaps matched the color and texture of the surrounding skin and had a favorable appearance. Besides, flaps had a certain degree of sensory recovery while there was no obvious scarring presented in the donor area. Conclusions Individualized design of facial artery perforator flap has great advantages of simple and flexible, easy manipulation, reliable flap blood flow and minimal donor injury, which render it valuable for clinical application.
