Objective:To explore the intervention effect of motivational interviews based on timing theory on self-efficacy, negative affect and coping styles of parents with infantile spasms children. Methods:Cluster sampling was used to select 82 parents of infantile spasms hospitalized in the Department of Neurology of a children’s hospital, a three-A hospital from January 2019 to October 2019. They were divided into control group and observation group with 41 cases each according to random number table. The control group received routine health education, and the observation group received five motivational interviews based on timing theory interventions on the basis of routine care. The effect of the intervention was evaluated by General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), and the Chinese version of Coping Health Inventory for Parents (CHIP) before intervention, on the day of discharge, and 3 months after discharge. Results:Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the scores of GSES, HADS and CHIP scales between the parents of the two groups ( P>0.05). After intervention, The GSES scores of the observation group on the day of discharge and 3 months after discharge were (19.63±0.87) and (22.58±1.28) points, which were significantly higher than (18.92±0.74) and (19.46±1.25) points of the control group. The difference between both groups was statistically significant ( t values were -3.865, -10.926, P<0.01). HADS-A/HADS-D scores of the observation group on the day of discharge and 3 months after discharge were (12.50±0.82), (10.50±0.87) and (9.78±0.80), (8.63±0.87) points, respectively. The HADS-A/HADS-D scores of the control group on the day of discharge and 3 months after discharge were (12.92±0.74), (11.72±0.99) and (10.23±0.78), (9.38±1.04) points, respectively. The difference was statistically significant ( t values were 2.412-5.764, P<0.05 or 0.01). The observation group scores on CHIP subscales on the day of discharge and 3 months after discharge are higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (t values were -7.93--2.490, P<0.05 or 0.01). Conclusions:Motivational interviews based on timing theory can enhance parents’ self-efficacy, improve their negative emotions and family coping styles, and thereby promote the recovery of children.

To construct the Bac-to-Bac expression system of Bombyx mori nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV), a transfer vector was constructed which contained an Escherichia coli (E. coli) mini-F replicon and a lacZ: attTN7: lacZ cassette within the upstream and downstream regions of the BmNPV polyhedrin gene. B. mori larvae were cotransfected with wild-type BmNPV genomic DNA and the transfer vector through subcutaneous injection to generate recombinant viruses by homologous recombination in vivo. The genomic DNA of budded viruses extracted from the hemolymph of the transfected larvae was used to transform E. coli DH10B. Recombinant bacmids were screened by kanamycin resistance, PCR and restriction enzyme (REN) digestion. One of the bacmid colonies, BmBacJS13, which had similar REN profiles to that of wild-type BmNPV, was selected for further research. To investigate the infectivity of BmBacJS13, the polyhedrin gene was introduced into the bacmid and the resultant recombinant (BmBacJS13-ph) was transfected to BmN cells. The budded viruses were collected from the supernatant of the transfected cells and used for infecting BmN cells. Growth curve analysis indicated that BmBacJS13-ph had a similar growth curve to that of wild-type BmNPV. Bio-assays indicated that BmBacJS13-ph was also infectious to B. mori larvae.

OBJECTIVETo characterize the profile of chromosomal imbalances of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in Linzhou, the high prevalence area of Henan province.
METHODSComparative genomic hybridization (CGH) was used to examine 52 cases of primary SCC of esophagus.
RESULTSGains in part or in whole of chromosome 3q, 8q, 5p, 1q, 6q, 18p, 20q and losses of 3p, 1p, 9q, 19p, 4p, 8p were detected frequently in SCC (> 20%). Gain of 3q, 5p, 1q, 11q13-14 and loss of 4pq, 13q were all significantly correlated with pathologic staging (P < 0.05). Gains of 8q, loss of 4p were linked to nodal metastasis (P < 0.05). Gains of 2p and loss of 4pq, 11q14-qter were associated with distant organ metastasis (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThese observations suggest that 3q, 8q, 5p, 1q, 6q, 18p, and 20q may contain SCC-related oncogenes; 3p, 1p, 9q, 19p, 4p and 8p may contain SCC-related tumor suppressor genes. It is likely that gain of 3q, 5p, 1q, 11q13-14 and loss of 4pq, 13q are the genetic aberrations critical for the development of esophageal carcinoma, whereas gains of 8q, 2p and loss of 4pq, 11q14-qter are considered later events associated with tumor progression and are thought to confer metastatic potential to esophageal carcinoma. Furthermore, nodal and distant organ metastases involve different genes.

OBJECTIVETo apply pulse-field gel electrophoresis analysis(PFGE) in analysing a case of food poisoning caused by Vibrio parahaemolyticus.
METHODSPFGE using restriction enzyme Not I was employed in molecular subtyping of thirty strains of V. parahaemolyticus isolated from a case of food poisoning in Guangzhou city and PFGE patterns were analyzed by using BioNumerics Version 4.0 software to perform cluster analysis. Pattern profiles were compared by using the Dice coefficient and unweighted pair group method with arithmetic averages (UPGMA).
RESULTSThirty strains were of the same type of pulsotype.
CONCLUSIONSMolecular subtyping by PFGE might disclose the epidemiological relationships of the strains from humans, food and the environment, giving a strong molecular epidemiological evidence and a support for the source-tracking of outbreak events.

Objective:To evaluate the oncologic outcomes of different laparoscopic radical hysterectomy. Methods:From January 2011 to December 2014, the laparoscopic operation cases of cervical cancer at stage Ⅰb1, Ⅰb2, Ⅱa1 and Ⅱa2, including the histologic subtypes of squamous-cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and adenosquamous carcinoma, were collected in five clinical centers. The data were divided into two groups according to the surgical procedures, that is, modified laparoscopic-vaginal radical hysterectomy (mLVRH) and total laparoscopic radical hysterectomy (TLRH). The overall survival rate (OS), disease-free survival rate (DFS) at 5 years were retrospectively analyzed in this study. Results:There were 674 cases in total, including 377 cases of mLVRH, 297 cases of TLRH. (1) The OS at 5 years: the mLVRH was 96.1% and the TLRH was 92.0%, and the mLVRH was higher than that of TLRH ( P=0.010). Stratify analysis, including stage of disease (Ⅰb1 and Ⅱa1), histologic subtypes (squamous-cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma), lymph node metastasis, revealed that, ① Stage of disease: in stage Ⅰb1, the OS at five years of mLVRH was higher than that in TLRH group (98.6% vs 93.6%, P=0.012). In stage Ⅱa1, there was significant difference between the two groups, the OS at five years of mLVRH and TLRH were 93.6% and 77.6% ( P=0.007). ② Histologic subtypes: for the OS at five years of squamous-cell carcinoma, mLVRH and TLRH were 96.1% and 92.3%, and there was significant difference ( P=0.046); for adenocarcinoma, the OS at five years were 91.0% and 88.6%, and there was no difference between two groups ( P=0.230). ③ Lymph node metastasis: the mLVRH and TLRH with lymph node metastasis, the OS at five years were 98.6% and 96.4%; the mLVRH and TLRH without lymph node metastasis, the OS at five years were 89.3% and 80.8%. There were no significant differences between the two groups, respectively ( P=0.156, P=0.093). (2) The DFS at 5 years: there was no significant difference between mLVRH and TLRH (94.1% vs 90.9%, P=0.220). Stratify analysis for stage of disease, the mLVRH group was higher than that in the TLRH group in stage Ⅰb1 (97.0% vs 92.8%, P=0.039). However, for stage Ⅱa1, there was no significant difference between mLVRH and TLRH group (88.2% vs 75.8%, P=0.074). Conclusions:The results of this retrospective study indicated that different laparoscopy surgical procedures had diverse oncologic outcomes. The OS at 5 years of the mLVRH is superior to the TLRH. The DFS at 5 years in Ⅰb1 stage, the mLVRH is higher than the TLRH. Therefore, the modified laparoscopy is still an alternative surgery for early cervical cancer patients when following the principle of no-tumor-exposure.
