Medical institutions, with their clinical practice foundation and abundant human use experience data, have become important carriers for the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) and the "cradles" of the preparation of new TCM. To effectively promote the transformation of new TCM originating from the TCM clinical practice in medical institutions and establish an effective evaluation index system for the transformation of new TCM conforming to the characteristics of TCM, consensus experts adopted the literature research, questionnaire survey, Delphi method, etc. By focusing on the policy and technical evaluation of new TCM originating from the TCM clinical practice in medical institutions, a comprehensive evaluation from the dimensions of drug safety, efficacy, feasibility, and characteristic advantages was conducted, thus forming a comprehensive evaluation system with four primary indicators and 37 secondary indicators. The expert consensus reached aims to encourage medical institutions at all levels to continuously improve the high-quality research and development and transformation of new TCM originating from the TCM clinical practice in medical institutions and targeted at clinical needs, so as to provide a decision-making basis for the preparation, selection, cultivation, and transformation of new TCM for medical institutions, improve the development efficiency of new TCM, and precisely respond to the public medication needs.

OBJECTIVE: To compare clinical efficacy between side-opening and front-opening bone cement injectors in percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP) for the management of thoracolumbar osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCFs). METHODS: A retrospective cohort study was conducted, comprising 62 patients with single-segment thoracolumbar OVCFs (T₁₁-L₂), who underwent bilateral PKP at our department during the period from June 2020 to October 2021. Patients were categorized into two groups based on the specific bone cement injector employed during the surgical procedure: the side-opening group (n=29) and the front-opening group (n=33). Among them, the side-opening group consisted of 6 male and 23 female patients, with a mean age of (73.32±9.11) years. The front-opening group included 7 male and 26 female patients, with a mean age of (71.29±10.39) years. The variables encompassed essential patient characteristics were recorded, such as gender, age, bone mineral density (BMD), and fracture level (T₁₁-L₂), as well as procedural aspects, including operation duration, cement injection volume, cement distribution type (lobular or diffuse), occurrence of cement leakage, pre-and post-operative visual analogue scale (VAS) pain scores, and vertebral compression ratio. RESULTS: All patients underwent successful surgery, with a mean follow-up duration of (15.37±3.03) months. There were no statistically significant differences in gender, age, BMD, fracture level, preoperative vertebral compression degree, and VAS scores between the side-opening group and the front-opening group (P>0.05). The operation time, the mean cement injection volumes, the distribution of bone cement within the vertebrae has no statistically significant difference between two groups(P>0.05). Both the side-opening and front-opening groups showed significant improvements in VAS scores at 3 days and 6 months after operation (P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in VAS scores between the two groups at both 3 days and 6 months after the operation (P>0.05). CONCLUSION Side-opening bone cement injectors in bilateral PKP surgery for single-segment thoracolumbar OVCF achieve similar clinical efficacy as front-opening injectors, without significant improvement in cement distribution and containment.

Perimenopausal syndrome （MPS）， a common endocrine system disease， is one of the diseases responding specifically to traditional Chinese medicine （TCM）. The China Association of Chinese Medicine organized experts in endocrinology， gynecology， and interdisciplinary fields of both Western and Chinese medicine to discuss the advantages and challenges of diagnosing and treating MPS with Western medicine， TCM， and integrative medicine. Experts at the conference believe that MPS is initiated by estrogen decline and rooted in deficiency， with the pathogenesis being imbalance between Yin and Yang in the kidney. The hormone replacement therapy in Western medicine for menopause can rapidly alleviate related symptoms by quickly restoring the estrogen level and timely detect and delay complications of menopause， whereas such a therapy has certain risks， necessitating close monitoring of adverse reactions. Moreover， the various contraindications and precautions limit the clinical application of the hormone replacement therapy. TCM has advantages in synergistically alleviating symptoms such as hot flashes， sweating， sleep disorders， and emotional abnormalities of MPS without causing obvious adverse reactions. However， its efficacy is slower than the hormone replacement therapy， and the TCM evidence for preventing and treating complications of menopause remains unclear. Three suggestions were proposed for the future development of both Western and TCM for ameliorating MPS. First， an integrated diagnosis and treatment system for MPS with both Western and Chinese medicine should be established. Second， high-quality evidence-based interventions for MPS should be developed with TCM alone or in combination with Western medicine. Third， efforts should be made to promote the new TCM drug development and the interdisciplinary cooperation for treating MPS.

This study examines inhibiting galectin 1 (Gal1) as a treatment option for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Gal1 has immunosuppressive and cancer-promoting roles. Our data showed that Gal1 was highly expressed in human and mouse HCC. The levels of Gal1 positively correlated with the stages of human HCC and negatively with survival. The roles of Gal1 in HCC were studied using overexpression (OE) or silencing using Igals1 siRNA delivered by AAV9. Prior to HCC initiation induced by RAS and AKT mutations, lgals1-OE and silencing had opposite impacts on tumor load. The treatment effect of lgals1 siRNA was further demonstrated by intersecting HCC at different time points when the tumor load had already reached 9% or even 42% of the body weight. Comparing spatial transcriptomic profiles of Gal1 silenced and OE HCC, inhibiting matrix formation and recognition of foreign antigen in CD45⁺ cell-enriched areas located at tumor-margin likely contributed to the anti-HCC effects of Gal1 silencing. Within the tumors, silencing Gal1 inhibited translational initiation, elongation, and termination. Furthermore, Gal1 silencing increased immune cells as well as expanded cytotoxic T cells within the tumor, and the anti-HCC effect of lgals1 siRNA was CD8-dependent. Overall, Gal1 silencing has a promising potential for HCC treatment.

Purpose/Significance To identify the influencing factors of users'willingness to use knowledge service of hospital library.Method/Process Based on the technology acceptance model,the theory of expectation confirmation model and perceived risk theory,the model and hypothesis of users'willingness to continue using knowledge service of hospital library are established.A questionnaire is de-signed and made,which is distributed to the staffs of Affiliated Tongji Hospital of Tongji Medical College,Huazhong University of Science and Technology by random sampling method.The structural equation model is used to validate and analyze the conceptual model.Result/Conclusion The findings show that expectation confirmation,perceived usefulness,perceived ease of use,and perceived interac-tivity all have positive effects on satisfaction.Of these,perceived usefulness is the most significant factor.Therefore,the key to ensure that users continue to use the library knowledge service is to enhance the usefulness of the service.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects and mechanisms of Guanyuan Mingmen Sequential Acupuncture on rats with premature ovarian insufficiency(POI)model.Methods Female SD rats were divided into the blank group,the model group,the protein kinase A(PKA)inhibitor(H89)+acupuncture group,and the acupuncture group,with 12 rats in each group.Except for the blank group,the POI model was prepared by gavage with Tripterygium Glycosides Tablets in the other three groups of rats.After the model was successfully established,the blank group and the model group were bundled once a day;in the acupuncture group,Guanyuan(RN4)point was taken during the intermotility period,and in the pre-motility period,Mingmen(DU4)point was taken;in the H89+acupuncture group,the intervention was performed in accordance with the acupuncture protocol of the acupuncture group,and H89 was injected intraperitoneally for 30 minutes prior to each acupuncture session.Continuous intervention was performed for 20 days.Samples were taken from each group of rats in the first estrus period and in proestrus period after intervention.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to measure the levels of follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)and estradiol(E2)during the estrous phase,Western Blot was used to measure the protein expressions of follicle stimulating hormone receptor(FSHR)and aromatase P450(P450arom)during the estrous phase,and the activity of granulocytes during the estrous phase and the proestrus phase were measured using the cell-counting kit 8(CCK-8)method.The immunohistochemistry method was used to detect the protein expression of pre-motility proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA).Results(1)Compared with the blank group,the serum FSH level of the model group and H89+acupuncture group was significantly increased(P＜0.01),and the E2 level was significantly decreased(P＜0.001);there was no difference between the FSH level of the H89+acupuncture group and that of the model group(P＞0.05),and the E2 level of the H89+acupuncture group was lower than that of the model group(P＜0.05);the FSH level of the acupuncture group was lower than that of the model group and that of the H89+acupuncture group(P＜0.05),had no difference with the blank group(P＞0.05),E2 level was significantly higher than the model group and H89+ acupuncture group(P＜0.01),still being lower than the blank group(P＜0.05).(2)The protein expressions of FSHR and P450arom in the model group and H89 + acupuncture group was lower than those in the blank group;the protein expression of FSHR in the H89 + acupuncture group was not different from that in the model group(P＞0.05),while the protein expression level of P450arom was lower than that in the model group(P＜0.05);the protein expression levels of FSHR and P450arom in the acupuncture group were higher than those in the model group and H89 + acupuncture group,but still lower than those in the blank group(P＜0.05).(3)Both GCs activity and average optical density value of PCNA in the model group and H89+acupuncture group were lower than the blank group(P＜0.05);both GCs activity and average optical density value of PCNA in the H89+acupuncture group were lower than the model group(P＜0.05);the activity of GCs and average optical density value of PCNA of the acupuncture group were significantly higher than that of the model group and H89+acupuncture group(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).Conclusion Guanyuan Mingmen Sequential Acupuncture can regulate sex hormone levels,increase GCs activity and promote GCs cell proliferation by up-regulating protein expressions of follicle stimulating hormone receptor(FSHR)/cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP)/protein kinase A(PKA)pathway FSHR,P450arom,thus improving POI.

Objective To investigate deep neuromuscular blockade(NMD)and moderate NMD on hepatic perfusion and liver function during laparoscopic hepatectomy.Methods A total of 60 patients who received laparoscopic hepatectomy in Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center were recruited from Dec 2021 to Dec 2022.They were randomly divided into two groups:deep NMD group(D group,n=30)and moderate NMD group(M group,n=30).D group was induced by administration of rocuronium 0.9 mg/kg followed by continuous infusion to maintain intraoperative post-tetanic count(PTC)of 1-2,while M group was induced by administration of rocuronium 0.6 mg/kg followed by continuous infusion to maintain intraoperative train-of-four(TOF)of 1-2.Indocyanine green(ICG)of 0.25 mg/kg was given intravenously both after induction and after specimen excision,and retention rate at fifteen minutes(ICGR15)was recorded.In addition,intraoperative rocuronium dosage,surgical operation satisfaction score,postoperative shoulder pain,and the occurrence of vomiting on postoperative day 1(POD1)were also recorded.Results Compared with M group,the dosage of rocuronium in D group was significantly increased(P<0.01),but there was no difference of ICGR15 between the two groups(P=0.581),even other parameters of perioperative liver function.The surgical operation satisfaction score was significantly higher(P<0.05),while the postoperative shoulder pain(P=0.037,OR=1.37,95%CI:1.01-1.86)and the occurrence of vomiting on POD1(P=0.017,OR=1.64,95%CI:1.07-2.53)were significantly lower in D group than those in M group.Conclusion Compared with moderate NMB,deep NMB can significantly improve surgery condition,reduce postoperative shoulder pain and vomiting.However,there was no significant difference between them on the hepatic perfusion and perioperative liver function.

Accurate determination of the thickness of multi-layered nanofilm materials is of great importance to advance the development of thin film deposition technology and ensure the quality assurance of photovoltaic materials.Laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS)has been successfully employed for depth profiling of thin film materials,such as metal coatings.However,the accuracy of interface discrimination and thin layer thickness measurement is limited by the mixing effects of elemental signals.In this work,a high-depth resolution method for measuring the thin film thickness of lead sulfide(PbS)colloidal quantum dot(CQD)photovoltaic devices by LA-ICP-MS was introduced.The influence of different laser parameters on the mixing effects of element signals during the ablation process was compared,and the results showed that the laser ablation behavior of multi-layered nanofilm materials were improved and the mixing of element signals were reduced by optimizing parameters such as laser energy density and spot diameter.Meanwhile,a self-developed aerosol rapid wash-out small volume tubular ablation cell was used to effectively improve the aerosol transport efficiency,and the wash-out time of aerosol was(1.60±0.6)s.Compared with commercial cylindrical ablation cells,the depth profile of multi-layer thin film samples was clearer.The depth profile of the interlayer interface showed a significant melting phenomenon during the ablation of the PbS CQD layer,leading to severe mixing of elemental signals at the PbS/ZnO layer interface.Under the conditions such as 2.5 J/cm2 laser energy,32 μm spot diameter,and 1 Hz repetition rate,the average ablation rates of Au,PbS and ZnO layers in PbS CQD photovoltaic devices were(60±2)nm/pulse,(69±5)nm/pulse,and(22±2)nm/pulse,with depth resolution of(26±2)nm,(213±11)nm,and(68±6)nm,respectively.The thickness of PbS CQD photovoltaic device films from the same batch was determined,and the test results exhibited good consistency with scanning electron microscope(SEM)measurement values,with a relative deviation of less than 6％.This method could accurately determine the thickness of nanoscale multilayer thin film samples,which was crucial for improving the performance of photovoltaic devices and controlling product quality.
