Objective To explore the relationship between the concentrations of dust mite allergen and lipopolysaccharide (LPS) in the working place and home for the workers. Methods 30 workers were selected as the experimental group in June, 2005, divided into A and B groups, 15 workers of flour processing in A and 15 workers of leather processing in B respectively, at the same season, 20 teachers from a college were selected as the control group (C group). 360 dust specimen were collected, the concentrations of allergen Der p1, Der f1 were determined by ELISA and the LPS concentration were determined by a kinetic Limulus assay. Results Concentration of allergen Der p1 and Der f1 (median:335.1 and 118.8, 350.0 and 174.1, 31.1and 3.4, 81.5 and 9.6 ?g/g in different sites respectively) in A group was the highest, LPS in B group was the highest (median: 234, 268, 104, 54 EU/mg in different sites respectively). Objective To observe the infecion status and drug resistant rate of mycoplasma in infertility patients in Puyang city and to guide useing drug rationally.Methods A total of 500 women in reproductive period in Puyang city were recruited in this study,collected their vaginal discharge specimen,then cultured and detected ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) and mycoplasma hominis(Mh) by liquid culture method and solid culture method.The women with positive results were divided as the pregnancy group and infertility group.The sensitivity rate of mycoplasma to 12 kinds of antibiotic were tested.Results The positive rate of mycoplasma in all the 500 women was 44.0%(220/500),the constituent ratio of pregnancy group(60 cases) was 27.3%,and the constituent ratio of infertility group (160 cases) was 72.7%.The difference was statistically significant between infertility group and pregnancy group(P<0.05).The Uu infection rates in pregnancy group and infertility group were 71.6% and 76.2% respectively,and the Mh infection rates were 11.6%,11.2% respectively.The rates of infecting Uu and Mh at the same time were 16.6% and 12.5%.The mycoplasma in and infertility group the pregnancy group were sensitive to spectinomycin,doxycycline and capminocim,which were 91.8%,92.1%,88.3%;90.9%,90.9%,87.3%.Conclusion The infection rate of Uu is higher than Mh in patients with infertility,which is resistant to quinolone classes and large ring lactone class antibiotic.

Objective To study the interactive mechanism of information retrieval behaviors and innovative behaviors in members of scientific project team engaged in scientific research.Methods The information retrieval behaviors and innovative behaviors in 218 members of 36 scientific project teams were investigated using self-designed information retrieval behavior and innovative behavior scale.The interactive mechanism of information retrieval behaviors and in-novative behaviors was analyzed by descriptive analysis, t test, and F test, respectively.Results The information retrieval behavior dimensions in members of scientific project team engaged in scientific research interacted with their innovative behaviors, innovative awareness, innovative nature, and innovative environment.The effect of in-formation assessment on innovative behaviors was most significant.Innovative behaviors were closely related with information retrieval behaviors.The effect of innovative nature on information retrieval behaviors was also most sig-nificant.Conclusion The information retrieval ability, information literacy, innovative nature, innovative aware-ness, and innovative ability should be strengthened in members engaged in scientific research.

Objective To study the effects of acute weak vagus nerve stimulation on hippocampal CA1 unit discharges and field potentials of normal and epileptiform discharging rats.Methods The experiments were performed with 55 male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 180～250 g,SPF grade.Animals were divided into normal(n=45)and regularly epileptiform discharging(n=10)groups.The normal rat group:Separate the left neck vagus nerve and ligate the peripheral end.Acute weak electrical stimulation(10 Hz,0.5 ms,1.5～5.0 V,15～20 unit /train)were administered to the left neck vagus nerve central end.20 trains were performed with a regular interval of 5 min.Record the unit discharges of right hippocampal CA1 and field potentials of bilateral hippocampal CA1.The epileptiform discharging group:Gelatin spongia was put onto the left cortex to induce epileptiform discharges.After 30 min stable regularly discharging,continue the procedure in the first group.Results Cyclical theta oscillation(about 3～6.5 Hz)appeared in bilateral hippocampal CA1 of normal rats after the stimulation(strain m=5～7,38/45,84.4%).With oscillation,there is unit discharging.It has two kinds:theta-on(n=30)and theta-off(n=5).The sharp wave amplitude was inhibited while the sharp wave interval increased following the acute weak vagus nerve stimulation(n=10)in epileptiform discharging rats.Theta oscillation was induced during the sharp wave.With oscillation,there is tonic unit discharging(n=10).The number of action potential spikes positively correlate with the sharp wave intervals(P

The effects of monoterpene perilly alcohol (POH) alone or in combination with STI571 on the proliferation and apoptosis of the cell line K562 positive for Bcr/Abl were investigated. By using cell culture, the effect of the drugs on the proliferation of the cells was studied. TUNEL and flow cytometry assay of FITC-Annexin V and PI labeled cells were applied to detect the effects of the drugs on the apoptosis of the cells. The results showed that at 36 h, IC50 of POH on K562 positive for Bcr/Abl and HL-60 negative for Bcr/Abl were 81.0 +/- 11.3 micromol/L and 113.6 +/- 23.4 micromol/L respectively (P>0.05). POH could inhibit the proliferation of K562 in a time- and dose-dependent manner with the inhibitory rate of 100 micromol/L POH on K562 cells at 36 h being (53.2 +/- 3.65)%. K562 cells were more sensitive to STI571 than POH. IC50 of STI571 on K562 cells in 36 h was (0.256 +/- 0.054) micromol/L. In a time- and dose-dependent manner, POH induced the apoptosis of K562 cells with the percentage of apoptotic cells by 100 micromol/L POH at 40 h being (21.0 +/- 3.3)%. Both 100 micromo/L POH and 0.2 micromol/L STI571 had the same inhibitory effects on the K562 cells at 36 h. But at 12 and 24 h, the inhibitory rate of POH was significantly higher than that of STI571 (P<0.05) and the ability of STI571 inducing apoptosis at 36 h was greater than that of POH. 50 micromol/L, 100 micromol/L and 200 micromol/L POH in combination with 0.2 micromol/L STI571 could obviously increase the inhibitory effects on the cellular proliferation. Combined use of 50 micromol/L, 100 micromol/L, 200 micromol/L with 0.2 micromol/L STI571 could strongly induced apoptosis, especially 200 micromol/L POH in combination with 0.2 micromol/L STI571. It was concluded that the antileukemia effect of POH had no obvious Bcr/Abl positive selectivity. POH can inhibit the proliferation of K562 and induce the apoptosis in a time- and dose-dependent manner. K562 cells were more sensitive to STI571 than POH. POH in combination with STI571 could obviously enhance the abilities of STI571 inhibiting the proliferation and inducing apoptosis of K562 cells.

Objective To investigate the antibiotic resistance, virulence genes, and sequence types of Enterococcus faecium ( E. faecium) strains isolated from children under 3 years old in Sui county, Henan province. Methods Kirby-Bauer antibiotic testing was performed to analyze the antibiotic sensitivi-ties of E. faecium strains to 15 common antibiotics. PCR analysis was used to detect the virulence genes car-ried by the E. faecium strains. Multilocus sequence typing ( MLST) was performed for the typing of E. faeci-um strains. Results Forty-seven E. faecium strains were isolated from 120 stool samples collected from chil-dren under 3 years old in Sui county, Henan province, of which 95. 7% were antibiotic-resistant strains. Most of the isolated E. faecium strains were resistant to rifampicin, accounting for 91. 5% (43/47) of all isolates, followed by those resistant to erythromycin and tetracycline, which accounted for 68. 1% (32/47). Moreover, high resistance rates to those antibiotics commonly used in clinical treatments of E. faecium infec-tion including β-lactam and aminoglycosides antibiotics were observed. Those strains resistant to more than three kinds of antibiotics belonged to the same clonal complex including 12 strains of clonal complex 17 ( CC17) harboring the virulence gene of hyl. All of the isolated E. faecium strains were susceptible to vanco-mycin, linezolid, chloromycetin and nitrofurantoin. Conclusion The E. faecium strains isolated from chil-dren under 3 years old in Sui county, Henan province were multi-antibiotic resistant. There were drug-resist-ance strains belonging to the CC17 and carrying the virulence gene of hyl.
