Molecular imprinting technique (MIT) involves the synthesis of polymer in the presence of a template to produce complementary binding sites in terms of its size, shape and functional group orientation. Such kind of polymer possesses specific recognition ability towards its template molecule. Despite the rapid development of MIT over the years, the majority of the template molecules that have been studied are small molecules, while molecular imprinting of proteins remains a significant yet challenging task due to their large size, structural flexibility and complex conformation. This review, we summarized the research findings over the past years, and discussed the nano-reinforcing materials used to prepare molecular imprinting of proteins and the perspective of these nano-reinforcing materials.

In this study, the general bacterial probe and specific cellulolytic bacterial probes were used to quantify the bacteria in rumen. The total RNA were extracted and then hybridized with general bacterial probe after a dilution of concentration. The result showed that there was a high correlation between the hybridization signal and the dilution of total bacterial RNA. Based on the result above, the quantities of three cellulolytic bacteria in rumen sample were detected. The comparative RNA percentage of three cellulolytic bacteria to total bacterial RNA were similar to the previous reports. It can be concluded that the quantification of bacteria in rumen could be conducted by this approach, and which could be used in future research.

Objective To explore the expression and its implication of angiogenesis and invasiveness related factor in primary and recurrent glioma. Methods Expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and MMP-9 were detected by immunohistochemical technique. The morphological characteristics of ultrastructure of glioma were observed by transmission electron microscope (TEM). Results The expressions of VEGF, MMP-2 and MMP-9 varied in different grades of primary glioma. With the elevation of the malignant degree of the primary glioma, positive staining rates of VEGF, MMP-2 and MMP-9 increased significantly. The expression of VEGF correlated with both MMP-2 and MMP-9 expression. Compared with the primary glioma, the immunoreactivities of VEGF, MMP-2 and MMP-9 in recurrent glioma increased, especially in those with more severe malignancy. Under transmission electron microscope, endothelial cells markedly proliferated and protruded from the deficiency of basemembrane, concomitantly with edema of the extracapillary gap, plasma extravasation as well as some small worm-eaten caverns in the basemembrane. Conclusion VEGF, MMP-2 and MMP-9 play important roles in glioma angiogenesis and invasiveness.Inhibition of their expressions may be a useful therapy to glioma.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the relationship between cardiac Cerebrovascular disease and serum uric acid(SUA) in the coastal inhabitant, and try to provide base for prevention of the local metabolic disease and cardiac Cerebrovascular disease.
METHODWe got 3111 local people who had participated in the annual physical examination in the perch hospital for the research on the level of SUA and the relative risk factor. According to SUA level we divided the cases into two groups. One is hyperuricemia group and the other is control group.
RESULTS(1)The average SUA level was (380.2-/+62.58) micromol/L in the males, while (290.82-/+60.32) micromlo/L in the female. The sick rate of hyperuricaemia rate, was 21.8% for male, and the 17.6% of female. This disease affected more men than women. It has significant difference (P<0.01); (2)The SUA level of the showed a positive correlation with the indexes of the total cholesterol, the triglyceride, the blood pressure and the body weight index. The SUA level in overweight/obesity people was obviously higher than that of the normal weight people.
CONCLUSIONS(1)The sick rate of hyperuricaemia is high in Zhongshan coastal area, which due to many related factors. As far as, few people know it, so we should adopt the synthesis measure to prevent and control it to reduce the sick rate; (2)the rise of The SUA level possibly becomes one of the independent dangerous and predictive factor for the heart cerebral von disease.

Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) is an important molecular marker in traditional Chinese medicine research, and it is widely used in TCM authentication. The present study created a new genotyping method by combining restriction endonuclease digesting with melting curve analysis, which is a stable, rapid and easy doing SNP genotyping method. The new method analyzed SNP genotyping of two chloroplast SNP which was located in or out of the endonuclease recognition site, the results showed that when attaching a 14 bp GC-clamp (cggcgggagggcgg) to 5' end of the primer and selecting suited endonuclease to digest the amplification products, the melting curve of Lonicera japonica and Atractylodes macrocephala were all of double peaks and the adulterants Shan-yin-hua and A. lancea were of single peaks. The results indicated that the method had good stability and reproducibility for identifying authentic medicines from its adulterants. It is a potential SNP genotyping method and named restriction endonuclease digest - melting curve analysis.

BACKGROUNDTransforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) is known to be a key fibrogenic cytokine in a number of chronic fibrotic diseases, including chronic allograft nephropathy. We examined the effects of inhibition of TGF-β1 expression by RNA interference on renal allograft fibrosis, and explored the mechanisms responsible for these effects.
METHODSA Sprague-Dawley-to-Wistar rat model of accelerated kidney transplant fibrosis was used. Sixty recipient adult Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups: group J (sham-operated group), group T (plasmid-transfected group), group H (control plasmid group), and group Y (transplant only group). Rats in group T were transfected with 200 µg of TGF-β1 short hairpin RNA (shRNA). Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting were used to examine the expression of TGF-β1, Smad3/7, E-cadherin, and type I collagen. The distribution of type I collagen was measured by immunohistochemistry. The pathologic changes and extent of fibrosis were assessed by hematoxylin and eosin and Masson staining. E-cadherin and α-smooth muscle actin immunohistochemical staining were used to label tubular epithelial cells and fibroblasts, respectively.
RESULTSPlasmid transfection significantly inhibited the expression of TGF-β1, as well as that of its target gene, type I collagen (P < 0.05 and P < 0.01, respectively). In addition, the degree of fibrosis was mild, and its development was delayed in plasmid-transfected rats. In contrast, TGF-β1-shRNA transfection maintained the expression of E-cadherin in tubular epithelial cells while it inhibited the transformation from epithelial cells to fibroblasts. Blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine were lower in the plasmid group than in the control groups (P < 0.05 and P < 0.01, respectively).
CONCLUSIONSThis study suggests that transfection of a TGF-β1-shRNA plasmid could inhibit the fibrosis of renal allografts. The mechanism may be associated with the downregulation of Smad3 and upregulation of Smad7, resulting in suppressed epithelial-myofibroblast transdifferentiation and extracellular matrix synthesis.

OBJECTIVETo provide new germplasm materials for breeding new varieties of Pseudostellaria heterophylla.
METHODThe method of single plant selection was adopted, with the comparative experiments being carried out under the same conditions in Shibing county. The 8 plants of Shibing SB-4 were compared respectively with factor analysis for 27 phenotypic traits and 8 yield traits, and single factor variance analysis for the contents of polysaccharides.
RESULTUsing factor analysis, 27 phenotypic traits were classified into 7 principal divisors and 8 yield traits were simplified into 3 principal divisors. The 4 strains of P. heterophylla, ZT-01, ZT-02, ZT-06 and ZT-07, performed better than others in the phenotypic traits, and ZT-01, ZT-02, ZT-03 and ZT-07 in the yield traits. The contents of polysaccharides of ZT-01, ZT-02, ZT-05 and ZT-08 showed significantly higher value.
CONCLUSIONThere is significant difference among the 8 strains of P. heterophylla in phenotypic traits, yield traits and quality traits, making it possible to select certain strains for different purposes. ZT-01 and ZT-02 can be breaded further. ZT-06 and ZT-07 were used as ornamental cultivars for its great phenotypic traits. ZT-03 with good resistance and high yield was taken as resistant variety, and ZT-05 would face next selection on the basis of its high content of polysaccharide.
