A cyst is cavity occuring in either hard or soft tissue with a liquid, semiliquid material, or air content. It is surrounded by a definite connective tissue wall or capsule and usually has an epithelial lining. The contained substance is a predominant feature in proportion to the size of the entire mass of tissue. It was classified as odontogenic cyst and non-odontogenic cyst in origin. The anatomic distribution, clinical features, final diagnosis, and treatment methods are discussed.

PURPOSE: Recently a marked increase in both clinical and research activity in the field of male sexual dysfunction has led to a better evaluation and more treatment options. The clinical distribution and prevalence of male sexual dysfunction is essential to further improve diagnostic as well as therapeutic options. For the evaluation of clinical characteristics of male sexual dysfunction, we performed this study. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Two thousands male patients complaining sexual dysfunction visiting our hospital were reviewed. Chief complaints were classified as impotence, premature ejaculation, penile lesion, ejaculatory disorder, and orgasm disorder. We analyzed prior histories of management, associated diseases and treatment in our hospital. RESULTS: In age distribution, patients in their 40s were most common and 31.2% was under 40 years of age. Of the symptoms complained, erectile dysfunction was 61.8% and premature ejaculation with or without erectile dysfunction was 11.7% or 15.0%, respectively.40.4% had been managed for sexual dysfunction. Of them, 70.3% was managed by nonmedical or oriental means and 29.7% by physicians. 88.8% had associated diseases for sexual dysfunction. Diabetes was observed In 17.3%, cardiovascular disease in 13.8%, systemic disease in 20.8%. 68.8% was treated at our hospital. Of them, 64.7% was treated pharmacologically. CONCLUSIONS: Symptoms of male sexual dysfunction were relatively common in men under 40 years of age comprising nearly one third of the patients complaining sexual dysfunction. Most of the patients had prior histories of management by nonmedical means due to lack of insight. Many patients preferred pharmacologic treatment. Future change In patient's insight will direct the patient to seek care by an urologist.

METHODSThe characteristics of regional logistics, through cooperation between medical institutions within the region, and organize a wide range of special logistics activities, to make reasonable of the regional medical consumable reagents logistics. To set the regional management system, dynamic management systems, supply chain information management system, after-sales service system and assessment system. By the research of existing medical market and medical resources, to establish the regional medical supplies reagents directory and the initial data. The emphasis is centralized dispatch of medical supplies reagents, to introduce qualified logistics company for dispatching, to improve the modern hospital management efficiency, to costs down.

RESULTSRegional medical center and regional community health service centers constitute a regional logistics network, the introduction of medical consumable reagents logistics services, fully embodies integrity level, relevance, purpose, environmental adaptability of characteristics by the medical consumable reagents regional logistics distribution.

CONCLUSIONSModern logistics distribution systems can increase the area of medical consumables reagent management efficiency and reduce costs.

The authors analyzed 105 cases of spinal cord tumor in regarding to the age, sex, location and distribution, clinical presentation and postoperative outcome. They were confirmed by pathologic study at the Kyung Hee Medical Cented from 1981 to 1991. The incidence of spinal cord tumors was slightly predominant in males. The most commom tumor was neurogenic tumor. The neurogenic tumor composed 43.8%(46 cases), and the rests were meningioma 15.2%(16 case), metstasis 10.5%(11 cases) and others. The tumor were located most frequently in the thoracic area(31.4%) and in the intradural extramedullary space(56.1%). Most common initial symptom of spinal cord tumors were pain and it's mean duration was 8.3 month. The patients were assigned to one of four groups according to their neurologic deficit. About 66.6%(70 cases) of the patients were included in Groups I and II(mild neurologic deficit), and others were classified in Groups III and IV(significant to severe neurologic deficit). Complete tumor removal was achieved in 70.4%(4 cases) of the patients, and subtotal removal was performed in 26.7%(28 cases), and biopsy was performed in 2.9%(3 cases). Among the 105 patients, the postoperative outcomes on dischage were recovery in 36 cases(34.3%), improved in 45 cases(42.9%), stationary state in 12 cases(11.4%), and progression in 12 cases(11.4%).

The blepharoptosis is drooping of upper eyelid in primary gaze with various causes. The most common cause of ptosis is, in known as, underdevelopment of levator muscle. We evaluated the age and sexual distribution, clinical manifestation, result of treatment and it's complication of congenital blepharoptosis. The method of surgery and amount of muscle resection was decided according to several factors that is the amount of ptosis, the preoperative levator functon, and the Margin Limbal Distance(MLD). Most of patient was second decades(48.3%). In cases of unilateral ptosis, left lid was higher incidence(60%) than right lid and 4 cases(14%) were bilateral ptosis. The amount of ptosis was between 3 and 4mm in most cases(48.5%), and over the 5mm was 12 cases(36.3%). Preoperative levator function between 4 and 7mm of the patient was in 18 cases(54.5%) and 3mm or less was 12 cases(36.3%). Between 16 and 19mm muscle resection was 10 cases(43.5%), Between 12 and 15mm resection was 7 cases(30.4%). In initially corrected visual acuity with Hans Chart. 12 cases(36%) were 0.5-1.0 and 2 cases were 0.1 or less. There is no significant visual improvement after one year surgical correcton. The most common surgical procedure was levator muscle resection(73%) through anterior skin incision and followed by frontalis suspension in 9 cases(27%). The result of operation was good for the period of six months follow-up. The most common complication was undercorrection in 2 cases of levator muscle resection and 1 case of frontalis suspension. The other complications were overcorrectopn, exposure keratitis and entropion in each case, respectively.
