3.A Standardization Study of Children's Color Trails Test(CCTT).
Journal of the Korean Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry 2008;19(1):28-37
OBJECTIVES: This study was conducted in order to examine the reliability and validity of the Children's Color Trails Test (CCTT). The objective of the study was also to provide the Korean normative data for the CCTT. METHODS: Normative samples consisted of 766 children and adolescents living in Seoul and aged from 5 to 15 years. Eighty children who were diagnosed with ADHD, based on the DSM-IV criterion, were recruited from Seoul National University Children's Hospital. Among them, 46 ADHD children were receiving medication, while 34 children were drug-free. RESULTS: The scores of the CCTT were significantly correlated with those of the Stroop test. Three factors were extracted through factor analysis.visual tracking and cognitive flexibility, distractibility and susceptibility to interference, and simple attention and impulsivity. The completion time of the CCTT for all children tended to decrease as age increased. There were significant differences in the CCTT scores between the ADHD group receiving medication, the ADHD-drug free group and the normal groups. The CCTT also showed sound test-retest reliability. These results confirmed the relia-bility and validity of the CCTT. Finally, we provided the Korean normative data for the CCTT. CONCLUSION: These results suggest that the CCTT is a reliable and valid test, which can be used to assess frontal function related to child psychiatric disorders in Korean children.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1992;28(2):229-235
Clonorchiasis is known to be closely related with the development of recurrent pyogenic cholangitis and carcinoma of the bile ducts. In order to ascertain the cholangiographic signs for recurrent pyogenic cholangitis or carcinoma of the bile ducts arising in patients with clonorchiasis. we reviewed cholangiograms in 42 patients with proven clonorchiasis. The population consisted of 29 patients with clonorchiasis alone, six patients with clonorchiasis and recurrent pyogenic cholangitis, and seven patients with clonorchiasis and carcinoma of the bile ducts. Cholangiographic abnormalities in 29 patients with clonorchiasis alone, six patients with clonorchiasis and recurrent pyogenic cholangitis, and seven patients with clonorchiasis and carcinoma of the bile ducts. Cholangiographic abnormalities in 29 patients with clonorchiasis alone were intrahepatic multiple, oval, or elliptic filling defects measuring 2-10 mm in size, representing adult flukes (n=24). The peripheral bile duct were obstructed (n=18), and the margins were ragged (n=20) and hazy (n=12) the intrahepatic bile ducts were dilated diffusely (n=27), and the dilated peripheral small tributaries gave the impression of "too many ducts appearance" (n=7) and dilatation was mid (n=17) In six patients with clonorchiasis and recurrent pyogenic cholangitis, there were filling defects of stones, and the extrahepatic ducts and larger intrahepatic ducts were predominantly dilated. In seven patients with clonorchiasis and cholangiocarcinoma all the biliary tree proximal to the tumor was markedly and diffusely dilated In the latter two groups, filling defects of flukes and associated findings were less prominent, but there was disproportionately severe dilatation of too many intrahepatic ducts. In patients with recurrent pyogenic cholangitis or cholangiocarcinoma, clonorchiasis should be considered as a underlying cause when cholangiogram shows "disproportionately" severe dilatation of too many intrahepatic ducts. intrahepatic ducts.

It is essential to define the accurate location and extent of tumors for the treatment planning and evaluation of the prognosis of the musculoskeletal tumors. Since Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) provides excellent tissue contrast and multiplsnar image. MRI could be applied to the diagnosis and the treatment planning of musculo-skeletal tumors. Thirty-one patients with bone and soft tissue tumors underwent MRI at Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Seoul National University Hospital, since Jun. 1986, and the applicability of MRI in treatment planning of bone and soft tissue tumors was evaluated. Multiplanar image and excellent tissue contrast between soft tissue made it possible to define the location and the extent of tumor accurately. Tl weighted image was advantageous in intramedullary tumor extent, while T2 weighted image was helpful in soft tissue invasion. It was possible to guess histologic diagnosis of tumor in such cases as hemangioma, aneurysmal bone cyst, lipoma, and desmoid tumor. Above advantages guided the treatment planning and determination of biopsy site. Especially in two cases of osteosarcoma, which were highly malignant, limb salvage operation was performed instead of amputation.

BACKGROUND/AIMS: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) management guidelines have been released from Western countries, but no adequate data on the application of these guidelines in Asian countries and no surveys on the treatment of IBD in real practice exist. Since there is a growing need for a customized consensus for IBD treatment in Asian countries, Asian Organization of Crohn's and Colitis performed a multinational survey of medical doctors who treat IBD patients in Asian countries. METHODS: A questionnaire was developed between August 2013 and November 2013. It was composed of 4 domains: personal information, IBD diagnosis, IBD treatment, and quality of IBD care. Upon completion of the questionnaire, a web-based survey was conducted between 17 March 2014 and 12 May 2014. RESULTS: In total, 353 medical doctors treating IBD from ten Asian countries responded to the survey. This survey data suggested a difference in available medical treatments (budesonide, tacrolimus) among Asian countries. Therapeutic strategies regarding refractory IBD (acute severe ulcerative colitis [UC] refractory to intravenous steroids and refractory Crohn's disease [CD]) and active UC were coincident, however, induction therapies for mild to moderate inflammatory small bowel CD are different among Asian countries. CONCLUSIONS: This survey demonstrated that current therapeutic approaches and clinical management of IBD vary among Asian countries. Based on these results and discussions, we hope that optimal management guidelines for Asian IBD patients will be developed.
