Objective To study the efficacy of the integration of Chinese and Western medicine in treating recurring NS. Methods Patients were deivided into tow groups,control group was treated with western medicine,experimental group was treated with integration of Chinese and Western medicine.We could understand that which curative effect would be better by contrast.Results The complete remission rate and the total remission rate in experimental group were 53.2% and 95% respectively,it was significantly higher than that in control group.In control group,The complete remission rate and the total remission rate were 30.0% and 70% respectively.The remission rate was significantly diffence com- pared with two groups(P

Objective To generate specific targeting T cells against gastrointestinal cancer, a eukaryotic expression vector encoding carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) specific single chain variable fragment(scFv) fused to the transmembrane and intracellular domains of the signal transducing chain of CD3? was constructed. Methods Anti CEA scFv cDNA was obtained by RT PCR. The transmembrane and intracellular domains of CD3?cDNA was amplified from human T lymphocyte using RT PCR to clone into a eukaryotic expression vector, and anti CEA scFv cDNA was inserted upstream of CD3?. Finally, the eukaryotic expression vector containing scFv CD3? pcDNA3.0 was constructed and sequenced. Results A 810 base pair of anti CEA scFv was in accordance with sequence concerned, a 438 base pair of cDNA of the transmembrane and intracellular domains of CD3? was confirmed as sequence concerning of GenBank. Further identification was carried out through agarose electrophoresis after enzyme digestion. Conclusion We constructed a fusion molecular with both CEA targeting and CD3? signal transduction perporties, which lay a good foundation for generation of modified cytotoxic T lymphocytes against gastrointestinal tumors.

Objective To investigate the expression of tumor associated glycoprotein-72 (TAG-72) in human breast cancer cells. Methods Two breast cancer cell lines MCF-7 and Bcap-37 were cultured and prepared. TAG-72 expressions in MCF-7 and Bcap-37 were detected immunochemically with anti-TAG-72 single chain variable fragment (scFv). Results TAG-72 was positively expressed in MCF-7 cells but negatively expressed in Bcap-37 cells. Conclusion Tumor associated antigen TAG-72 is expressed in certain human breast cancer cells, which indicate TAG-72 may be used as a tumor maker and anti-TAG-72 scFv may play a role in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

Objective To construct a mammalian vector encoding angiostatin kringle 5 (K5) under the control of ?-fetoprotein (AFP) enhancer and albumin promoter, and to observe the expression of angiostatin by introducting angiostatin gene into hepatocellular carcinoma cells through gene transfection. Methods Angiostatin cDNA was amplified from normal human eukaryotic cells by using RT-PCR. Meanwhile, AFP enhancer and albumin promoter sequences were directed cloned and were inserted into vector pcDNA3.1. The recombinant vector of pcDNA3.1-AFAB-angiostatin K5-His was constructed, which contained the angiostatin K5 cDNA sequence that was under the control of the AFP enhancer and promoter. Angiostatin K5 cDNA was introduced into human AFP positive hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines with the transfected cultured cells that were mediated with Lipofectamine 2000. The expression of angiostatin K5 was analyzed by Western blot and the protein was dectected with anti-His antibody. Results The 500-base pair of angiostatin K5 was in accordance with the expected sequence and the recombinant vector of pcDNA3.1-AFAB-angiostatin K5-His was also confirmed as the anticipated sequence. The expression of angiostatin K5 in AFP positive hepatocellular carcinoma cells was detected both by SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Conclusion Efficient construction and expression of angiostatin K5 to AFP positive cells make it possible for antiangiogenesis therapy of human hepatocellular carcinomas, which may provide a promising approach.

Aim To study relationship between expressions of apoptosis-related gene bax and bcl-x in heopatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tissues and its clinical feature. Mothods The expression of Bax and Bcl-x were determined by immunohistochemistry with EnvisionTM system. Results Bcl-x and Bax proteins were detectable in 20 and 19 out of 40 HCCs, respectively. Their expressions in HCC cells were lower than those in cirrhosis(P＜ 0.05), The expression of Bax and Bcl-x in highly or intermediatly differentiated HCC cells were highed than that in low-diffe-rehtiated HCC cells suggesting that there was significant relationship among bcl-x and bax expressions and differential degree， clinical stages of HCC cells， and AFP level. However, the expression of this proteins showed no relationship with patient's sex and age(＞ 60 or ＜ 60 years old) (＞ 0.05). Conclusion Apoptosis-related genes bcl-x and bax participate partially in apoptotic regulation of HCC cells, and show that their expressions have correlation with differential degree, clinical stage of HCC cells and AFP levels.

BACKGROUND: Polyblends composed of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) and bisphenol A type of polysulfone (PSF) or polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) can improve the properties of TPU, bisphenol A type of polysulfone or PMMA and can widen the scope of application. The property of polyblends bad or good depends on the miscibility of polyblends. The dilute-solution viscometry (DSV) is a simple and rapid way for determining the miscibility for polyblends. The study on the determination of miscibility for TPU/PSF and TPU/PMMA polyblends by the DSV has not been reported up to now. OBJECTIVE: To differentiate the miscibility of TPU/PSF polyblend and that of TPU/PMMA polyblend, and at the same time to verify the consistency of μ and α criteria in the determination of polyblend miscibility by DSV.DESIGN: Observation and contrast analysis based on the two polyblend systems.SETTING: Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutics College, Henan University of Science and Technology.MATERIALS: TPU sample was purchased from Luoyang Jiming Chemical Industry Limited Company, China. PSF sample was purchased from the First Plastic Factory of Dalian, China. PMMA sample was synthesized by our laboratory. N, N-dimethylformamide was provided by Beijing Chemical Plant.METHODS:This study was performed at the Key Laboratory of Polymer Science and Nano-technology, Henan University of Science and Technology in May 2006. The different molar ratio of TPU / PSF and TPU / PMMA polyblends were prepared in N, N-dimethylformamide. An ubbelohde dilution viscometer (whose inner diameter was between 0.5 mm and 0.6 mm) was employed for measuring the relative viscosities of the polymer solutions in DMF at (25±0.01) ℃. The second stop-clock was used to record efflux time. From the efflux time, the relative viscosities could be obtained. Then the specific viscosities could be given by the relative viscosities value. From a series of relative viscosities, the specific viscosities and other data of two polyblends, μ values and α values of two polyblends were obtained.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The efflux time of two polyblend solutions in an ubbelohde viscometer.RESULTS: The μ and α values of TPU/PSF polyblend were all above zero, which showed that TPU/PSF polyblend was miscible. But the μ and α values of TPU/PMMA polyblend were all below zero, which showed that TPU/PMMA polyblend was immiscible. CONCLUSION:The μ criterion is consistent with the α criterion in judging for polyblend miscibility. DSV method is simple, and it can be used in the determination of polyblend miscibility.

Aortoiliac occlusive disease is a common and frequently-occurring disease of vascular surgery,and atherosclerosis is the main cause of its disease.Inter-Society Consensus for the Management of Peripheral Arterial Disease (TASC Ⅱ) D type of aortoiliac occlusive disease due to complex lesions,the preferred treatment method is aortobifemoral bypass.With the change of treatment concept,in-depth study of kiss stent,and the introduction of reconstruction of aortic bifurcation and integrated stent technology,endovascular therapies has achieved satisfactory short-term and long-term patency rates.At present,endovascular therapies has become the preferred treatment for TASC Ⅱ D aortoiliac occlusive disease.This article reviews the recent advances in endovascular therapies of TASC ⅡD aortoiliac occlusive disease.

Objective To investigate the role of Jiawei-sini Dection on expression of rat transforming growth factor-β1 receptor Ⅰ,Ⅱ(TβRⅠ,TβR Ⅱ), and study its treatment of anti-HF and the possible mechanisms. Methods The model of rat hepatic fibrosis was setup by subcutaneous injection of carbon tetrachloride and drinking alcohol freely;According to random block method, the successful model rats were divided into three groups:pathological model group (group B),Fufangbiejiarangan tablet group (group C), and Jiawei Sini Decoction group (group D), each group containing ten rats. Group A and group B were given two milliliters saline, group C was given Fufangbiejiarangan tablets 0.625 grams per kilogram of body weight, group D was given Jiawei Sini liquid 15.625 grams per kilogram of body weight.Each rat was fed once a day for 8 weeks.In order to avoid the natural repair of the hepatic affecting the experimental results, the rats,except group A, were still injected 40% CCl4 three milliliters per kilogram of body weight after feeding drug once a week. Fufang-Biejia-Ruangan Ttablet group was set as a positive control;The effects on expression of TβRⅠ,TβR Ⅱ were determined by immunohistochemical method. Changes of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alkaline phosphatase(ALP) and TβRⅠ,TβR Ⅱ were observed in rats. Results The expression of TβRⅠ、Ⅱ, compared with the pathological model(16.63±2.69)%, (14.57±1.09)%, were significantly reduced in Jiawei-Sini Dection group[they are(8.09±0.71)%,(6.51±0.48)%, the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The effects of Jiawei-Sini Dection was equal to the effect of Fufang-Biejia-Ruangan Tablets on expression of TβRⅠ,TβR Ⅱ(P＞0.05). Conclusion Jiawei-Sini Dection was able to inhibit the expression of TβRⅠ and TβR Ⅱ, thus affected the combination of TGFβ1, and their receptors.
