Objective To observe and evaluate the healing effect of medical skin collagen regeneration func-tional dressing on facial dermatitis.Methods 40 facial dermatitis patients who met the inclusion criteria were ran-domly divided into the observation group(group A)and control group(group B)averagely.Patients of group A were administrated with ketotifen tablets orally and with medical skin collagen regeneration functional dressing externally,while patients of group B were only orally administrated with ketotifen tablets.The total observation period last 15 days with a follow -up once after 2 days for both of the groups.Results The cure rates of group A after 12 day and 15 day were 63.2% and 65%,higher than the cure rates of group B(5.0% and 5.0%).The 12 day and 15 day cure rates of group A were significantly higher than those of group B(χ2 =14.83,15.82,all P <0.01).Conclusion Medical skin collagen regeneration dressing in combination with fexofenadine tablets provide a safe and effective healing func-tion to facial dermatitis.

ObjectiveTo explore the therapeutic effect of continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH) on the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis (SAP).MethodsAll data about forty-five patients with SAP admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) from June 2005 through June 2010 were reviewed.These 45 patients were randomly (random number ) divided into routine treatment group (n =22 )and comprehensive treatment group ( n =23 ).In control group,patients were rapidly given with a suffficient liquid support,vasoactive drug to increase organ perfusion,trypsin secretion inhibitor,broad-spectrum antibiotics,enteral nutrition with intestine membrane protective agent in early stage.In the comprehensive treatment group,patients received CVVH integrated with routine treatment.On admission and 72 h posttreatment,the scores of acute physiology and chronic health evaluation Ⅱ ( APACHE Ⅱ ) and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS),and the results of standard bettery of biochemistry tests indcluding blood urea nitrogen (BUN),serum cratinine (Scr),total bilirubin (TBIL),alanine aminotransferase (ALT),amylase (AMS),C-reactive protein (CRP),TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 were observed.Time of mechanical ventilation support,length of ICU stay,and survival rate were compared between two groups.ResultsOn admission between the two groups,no statistical significance was seen in the APACHE Ⅱ and MODS score,BUN,Scr,TBIL,ALT,AMS,CRP,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 (P ＞ 0.05).But APACHE Ⅱ and MODS score were decreased significantly in comprehensive treatment group than in the routine treatment group,as well as the the level of BUN,Scr,TBIL,ALT,AMS,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and CRP after 72h post-treatment (P＜0.05 ).In routine treatment group and comprehensive treatment group,the time of respirator intervention and length of stay in ICU were (7.6±3.4) d vs.(11.5±4.7) d,(12.3±7.8) dvs.(17.6±9.2) d respectively,the statistical significance was shown ( P ＜ 0.05 ).Compared to the comprehensive treatment group ( 86.96％ ),the survival rate ( 59.09％ ) were lower in routine treatment group ( P ＜ 0.05 ).ConclusionsCVVH combined with routine treatment,which can remove inflammatory agents and toxins,maintain homoeostasis,and improve oxygenation,is effective in treatment of SAP and can improve patient survival rate.

Objective To clarify the association between chondroitin-4-O-sulfotransferase-3 (CHST13) and hepatoma metastasis by the research of differential expression of CHST13 in MHCC97-H and MHCC97-L human hepatocarcinoma cell lines,which have high and low metastatic potential,respectively,and to confirm novel target of hepatoma metastasis and anti-tumor therapy.Methods The differential expressions of CHST13 in MHCC97-H and MHCC97-L human hepatocarcinoma cell lines were analyzed by real-time PCR,Western blot.CHST13 was silenced using RNA interference approach to detect the invasive ability in vitro and tumorigenicity in vivo in MHCC97-L cells.Results The expression of CHST13 was different in MHCC97-L cells,as compared to those in MHCC97-H cells.Knockdown of CHST13 expression enhanced MHCC97-L cells invasion and tumorigenicity both in vitro (t =2.8,P =0.005) and in vivo (t =2.5,P =0.01).The quantity of cells which crossed basement membrane increased [(30 ± 3):(14 ± 2)],and the average weight of tumor increased [(0.9 ± 0.10) g:(0.5 ± 0.06) g].Conclusion The differential expressions of CHST13 in human hepatocarcinoma cell lines correlate with tumor invasion and tumorigenicity,and it is expected to be a novel target for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.

The level of serum fibroblast growth factor-21 (FGF-21) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) was determined by ELISA.The results showed that serum FGF-21 level in these patients was higher than that in type 2 diabetic patients [(266.55 ± 21.24 vs 220.32 ± 22.68) ng/L,P＜ 0.01].Serum FGF-21 levels in both groups were significantly higher than that in normal control group [(173.52 ± 16.18) ng/L,P＜0.01].Serum FGF-21 level was positively correlated with waist circumference,blood glucose,and triglyceride.FGF-21 may contribute to the development of NAFLD in the patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Objective To investigate the type distribution of urogenital Chlamydia trachomatis(Ct)among STD clinic outpatients in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and to estimate the prevalence of Ct infection among the patients during posttreatment follow?up. Methods Urethral and cervical swabs were collected from male and female outpatients with confirmed urogenital Ct infection, respectively, in Institute of Dermatology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The patients with positive results in preliminary screening tests were followed up after treatment, and specimens were collected at follow?up visits. General and clinical information was also obtained from these patients. DNA was extracted from these samples by using the QIAxtractor instrument. Nested PCR was performed to amplify the major outer membrane protein A(ompA)gene for ompA typing, and to amplify CT046(hctB), CT058, CT144, CT172 and CT682 (pbpB) genes for high?resolution multilocus sequence typing (hr?MLST). Then, PCR products were sequenced, and ompA and MLST types of Ct were determined by sequence alignment and MLST analysis, respectively. The obtained MLST sequence types (STs) were compared with those from an Italian population by using the BioNumerics7 software, and a minimum spanning tree(MST)was generated. Results Totally, 44 and 6 Ct?positive specimens were collected at first visits and follow?up visits respectively. Among the 50 specimens, 42 underwent successful ompA typing and hr?MLST, and 7 ompA genotypes and 15 hr?MLST STs were identified, including 3 first reported STs. The distribution of STs of Ct isolates from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was significantly different from that from the Italian population. Among the 6 followed patients with posttreatment Ct infection, 3 were confirmed to be reinfected with Ct, and the other 3 failed to be diagnosed because of unsuccessful genotyping. Conclusion The genotypes of Ct strains isolated from STD clinic outpatients in Guangxi Autonomous Region were characteristic, and Ct reinfection occurred in some patients during follow?up.

Objective:To explore the effect of histone demethylase JMJD3 on B cell activation and apoptosis.Methods:B cells were sorted and purified from the peripheral blood of healthy people and SLE patients by using magnetic bead.After B cells were treated with IFN-αor R848 or IFN-α+R848,the percentages of CD86+B cells,CD69+B cells,CD86+Annexin V+B cells and CD69+Annexin V+B cells were detected by flow cytometry.The expression of JMJD3 was detected by Real Time PCR and Western blot.Results:The purity of sorted B cells was up to 95%.IFN-αenhanced both the activation and apoptosis and the JMJD3 expression of TLR7-activated B cells.The expression of JMJD3 was dependent on MAPK signal pathway,but not the NF-κB signaling pathway.Moreover,JMJD3 was highly expressed in B cells of peripheral blood from SLE patients compared to those from healthy people.Furthermore,JMJD3 inhibitors could inhibit the activation and apoptosis of IFN-αand R848 activated B cells.Conclusion:JMJD3 participated in the activation and apoptosis of IFN-αand TLR7-induced B cells, suggesting JMJD3 inhibitors may possess therapeutic effect for alleviating symptom of SLE.

Objective To observe the morphology of ethanol-wet dentin surfaces and detect their nano-scale adhesion force (Fad) by atomic force microscopy (AFM) in order to explore the potential mechanism of ethanol-wet bonding in improving clinical dentin bonding effectiveness.Methods Dentin slices from human premolar roots were prepared into flat ones, polished, and then randomly divided into five groups.All the specimens were acid-etched, rinsed, and left moist.They were then treated with 100％ ethanol for 0s (control group), 20s, 60s, 3×60s, or stepwise ethanol application.Afterwards, each group was scanned for the morphology in air and the Fad was probed by AFM.One-way ANOVA followed by Tukey`s test was employed for multiple comparisons using SPSS16.0.Results Compared with control group, ethanol-wet dentine produced a less undulating and relatively smooth surface topography.Ethanol-wet protocol significantly decreased the value of Fad in the experimental groups (P<0.001), in which 3×60s and stepwise ethanol application groups showed the lowest Fad.No difference was found between these two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion When using AFM in air, ethanol-wet protocol with longer time can produce a less undulating and relatively smooth surface topography and decrease the Fad, whichindicates that the water saturated in dentin matrix was replaced more thoroughly by longer ethanol application time.This will benefit hydrophobicity of the dentin bonding interface.

OBJECTIVE:To optimize the placement of extra-machine medicines in the automated pharmacy and establish a ra-pid dispensing area to shorten medicine dispensing time. METHODS:12 588 prescriptions made within one week were collected from the outpatient pharmacy of our hospital,in which 29 kinds of extra-machine medicines used frequently were clustered on the basis of Pearson correlation coefficients. The extra-machine medicines used at a higher frequency were arranged in the storage posi-tions near to the medicine dispensing window,and those related to the above-mentioned medicines were stored in the positions adja-cent to them,thereby a rapid dispensing area was established. The effect of the above-said method was evaluated by comparing the time it took for the pharmacist to dispense medicines one week before and after the establishment of the rapid dispensing area. RE-SULTS:29 kinds of extra-machine medicines were clustered into 4 major categories,and stored in 4 positions in the rapid med-icine dispensing area respectively,and then the position codes were assigned. After the rapid dispensing area was established,the average single prescription dispensing time for the pharmacist decreased by about 9 s (40.43 s vs. 31.43 s,P<0.01). CONCLU-SIONS:The establishment of the rapid dispensing area based on cluster analysis method has increased the efficiency of dispensing medicines in the outpatient pharmacy of our hospital.

Objective:To check the effect of immunosuppressants as adjuvants for DNA vaccine to prevent autoimmune disease.Methotis:Three immunosuppressants,Cyclosporin A(CsA),Tacrolimus(FK506)and Mycophenolate Mofetil(MMF)Were combined with DNA vaccine of Multiple Sclerosis(MS)and injected intramuscuarly.The splenocytes of immunized mice were checked for regulatory T cells(Treg),T cell proliferation and maturation of dendritic cells(Dcs)as well as release of intereleukin 10(IL-10).The immunized mice were induced as EAE animal model to check the preventive effect of FK506 as adjuvant.Results:More Treg cells Were induced in the mice immunized with FK506 and DNA vaccine and also T cell proliferation Was suppressed.DCs maturation Was blocked and high level of IL-10 in DCs Was induced in mice treated with FK506 and DNA vaccine.The clinic scores of EAE were significantly decreased in mice treated with FK506 and DNA vaccine compared with other control groups.Conclusion:FK506 as adjuvant of DNA vaccine can stimulate Treg cells and immune tolerance,then prevent from the autoimmune disease.

Objective:To explore the change of B cell numbers in active MRL/lpr lupus mice , and their regulation mechanisms.Methods:B cell cycle and the percent of B cells in spleen lymphocytes of active MRL /lpr lupus mice and normal C 57/B6 mice were analyzed by using flow cytometry .The apoptotic B cells and their subclass were analyzed by Annexin V and PI staining.Further more ,B cells were purified by magnetic sorting , and real-time quantitative PCR was carried out to detect apoptosis-related gene.Results:Compared with the C57/B6 mice,the percent of B cells in active MRL/lpr lupus mice were significantly reduced (P<0.01),while the percent of apoptotic cells were significantly increased (P<0.01).The percent of early apoptotic B cells were sig-nificantly increased ( P <0.01 ) which including the immature and mature B cells , while the late apoptotic B cells were unchanged.Further more,we found that the anti-apoptotic protein BIRC3 was significantly reduced in active lupus B cells (P<0.01), while the pro-apoptotic protein BCL2L1 and BBC3(PUMA) were significantly increased(P<0.01).Conclusion: B cells in active lupus mice were significantly reduced while early apoptotic B cells were increased , which may be attributed to the changed balance between the anti-apoptotic and pro-apoptotic proteins , suggesting the reduction of B cells in SLE patients may be related to their increased early apoptosis .
