[Objective] To analyze the experience and methods of removal the non-metal ic foreign bodies in the superficial tissue under the location of ul-trasonic and the guidance of acupuncture needle. [Method] First find the non-metal ic foreign bodies and observe the trauma around them by ultrasonic scanning, then use needle to puncture and approach the foreign bodies gradual y for location. Remove the foreign bodies according to the guidance of nee-dle in the end. [Result]Total foreign bodies could be removed easily without any remains in these cases, and trauma recovered wel . 33 cases were removed out smoothly the non-metal ic foreign bodies for just one time, and 1 case for two times. [Conclusion] Removal of the superficial non-metal ic foreign bodies under the location of ultrasonic and the guidance of needle is a great method of security,operating simply,being worthy of popularization through comparing with other methods.

Background Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) can increase the outflow of aqueous humor and reduce the intraocular pressure of patients with open angle glaucoma,but its mechanism is unknown.To investigate the mechanism of SLT would improve the therapeutic effect of SLT.The aqueous outflow resistance in trabecular meshwork was affected by the extracellular matrix (ECM).Matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) and MMP-9 were closely related to ECM degradation in trabecular meshwork.Objective This study was to observe the effects of SLT on the expressions MMP-3 and-9 in human trabecular ceils in vitro.Methods Immortallized human trabecular cells were cultured with pigment particles mixed suspension for 16 hours and incubated overnight.Then the cells were irradiated with Q switch frequency doubling 532 nm Nd:YAG laser to establish SLT-effective cells with the energy of 0.2 mJ,spot diameter of 400 μm and pulse duration of 3 ns.The expressions of MMP-3 mRNA and MMP-9 mRNA in the cells were detected by fluorescence quantitative real time PCR before and 1 hour and 4,8,12,28 hours after exposure of laser.The concentrations of MMP-3 and MMP-9 in the medium were assayed using ELISA 1 hour and 4,8,12,28 hours after exposure of laser and compared between the non-irradiation group and the irradiation group.Results The relative expressing levels of MMP-3 mRNA were 1.00,1.32±0.12,2.08±0.05,2.34±0.04,2.77± 0.05 and 2.49±0.27 in the non-irradiation group and irradiation for 1 hour and 4,8,12,28 hours after exposure of laser SLT,showing a significant difference among the groups (F =15.966,P=0.007),and relative expressing levels of MMP-3 mRNA were significantly higher in various time points after laser irradiation than those of the non-irradiation group (all at P＜0.05).The relative expressing levels of MMP-9 mRNA were 1.00,0.91 ±0.10,1.27 ± 0.07,1.46±0.07,1.69±0.09 and 0.87±0.09 in the non-irradiation group and irradiation for 1 hour and 4,8,12,28 hours after exposure of SLT,which was considerably different among the groups (F =30.526,P =0.005),and significant increased values were seen in the 4,8 and 12 hours after irradiation compared with the non-irradiation group (all at P＜0.05),with highest expression in the irradiation for 12-hour group.The concentrations of MMP-3 and MMP-9 proteins in medium were significantly increased in various time points after laser exposure in comparison with the control group (all at P＜0.05).Conclusions The expressions of MMP-3 and MMP-9 in human trabercuolar cells upregulate and the secretion ability of human trabecular cells to MMP-3 and MMP-9 proteins improves in early stage of SLT in vitro.However,these procedures gradually diminish with the lapse of time.

Objectives To analyze the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of Lemierre syndrome. Methods The clinical data of one case of Lemierre syndrome were retrospectively analyzed. The relevant literatures were reviewed. Results The primary infection of the patient was oral infection, and jugular vein thrombosis and metastatic lung abscess were followed. The blood culture showed that Staphylococcus aureus was positive. Lemierre syndrome was diagnosed. After anticoagulation and anti-infection treatment, the symptoms were improved. Conclusion Lemierre syndrome should be considered in present of jugular vein thrombosis and pulmonary abscess caused by infection.

Objection To observe the change rules of quantity and species of diatom sin Hunhe River in Shenyang and to provide technology and scientific evidence for drow ning identification and the location of drow ning in forensic investigation. Methods In 2011, different locations for collecting water sam pleswere chosen in Hunhe River in Shenyang. Water sam pleswere collected and variation of quantity and species of diatom swere observed every month. And variation of dom inant species of diatom swas ob-served every week. Results The quantity, speciesand dom inant species of diatom sin Hunhe River in Shenyang varied with different tim eand locations. The quantity and species of diatom swere lowest from Decem ber to February and gradually increased, reaching peak in May and second peak in October, and then gradually decreased. The dom inant species of diatom s varied significantly adjacent two weeksat same location from April to N ovem ber, but had little changesat different locationsin same week from July to August. Conclusion The change rules of quantity and species of diatom sare com plicated and affected by various factors such as environm ent and hydrology. The change rules of speciesand quantity of diatom s should be considered in forensic investigation of drow ning identification and the lo-cation of drow ning.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the expression levels of three T-type calcium channel receptors (α1G; α1H; α1I) in the cochlea and spiral ganglion neurons of C57BL/6J mice with different ages. METHOD: Thirty cases of C57BL/6J mice were divided into three groups (6-8 W, 24-26 W, 42-44 W) according to the age. The expressions of three T-type calcium channel receptors were quantified by RT-PCR after hearing thresholds measured by ABR. RESULT: Three receptors were detected in the cochlea and spiral ganglion neurons of 6-8 W C57BL/6J mice. The quantitative results showed that the expression levels of α1H and α1I were highest among three receptors in spiral ganglion neurons and in the cochlea respectively. The expression levels of three receptors significantly decreased with age,especially at the age of 4244 W. CONCLUSION The expression of T-type calcium channel receptors reduced with age in the inner ear of C57BL/6J mice.

Background Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) plays lowing-intraocular pressure (IOP)effect by irradiating pigmented trabecular cells selectively using 532 nm Nd:YAG laser.However,its affect pattern is not fully known.Objective This study was to establish a human trabecular cells (HTCs) model of SLT effect,and to observe the morphological changes of HTCs after they were exposed to different energies of SLT.Methods Immortalized HTCs were incubated in DMEM/F12 with pigmental granules for 16 hours (overnight) to prepare pigmented trabecular cells.The cells were irradiated with modified laser lens with the spot of 400 μm and emitting duration of 3 ns.The energy scale of 0.2 mJ was set for standardized energy and 0.1 mJ was used as the low energy.The morphology and ultrastructure of the cells were examined under the light microscope and transmission electron microscope 1 hour,4,8,12,24 hours after irradiation.Trypan blue staining and TUNEL fluorescence staining were used to evaluate the death and apoptosis of the cells after laser irradiation.Results The brown pigment particles were seen in cytoplasm around nuclei of trabecular cells after cultured for 16 hours.After laser irradiation,there was no obvious change in the shape of nonpigmented trabcular cells,but a 400 μm spot was found in the pigmented trabecular cells under the light microscope,and the pigmented particles released as the cell disruption.After 0.2 mJ laser irradiation,cell loss zone was seen at the center of the laser spot,and the positive cells for trypan blue and TUNEL staining were found;while the abnormal manifestations were slight after the 0.1 mJ irradiation.With the lapse of the time,the number of positive staining cells was gradually decreased.Twenty-four hours after laser irradiation,proliferative trabecular cells emerged and migrated to the center area of laser spot.Statistical analysis showed that the numbers of the positive cells for trypan blue and TUNEL staining were significantly reduced in the lower energy group in comparison with the standardized energy group at various time points (all at P＜0.001),and those of both energy groups were gradually reduced with lapse of time with the significant differences between any two time points (all at P＜0.01).Conclusions An in vitro laser effect model of HTCs can be established by exposing pigmented HTCs to SLT laser.After exposed to SLT,the gasification,necrosis-like death,apoptosis-like change appear at the laser center.The laser destroyed cells can be replaced by proliferative cells with the lapse of time.Low-energy laser irradiation cause a similar morphological change of the cells to high-energy irradiation,but the number of abnormal cells is much less.

Objective To observe the changes of learning function and neuron-specific enolase (NSE)protein of both brian and serum in rats after intermittent hypoxia,and explore the relation between NSE protein and learning and memory function.Methods Male Wistar adult rats(n=48)were randomly divided into control group (UC group) and 7.5％ chronic intermittent hypoxia group (7.5％CIH group).7.5％ chronic intermittent hypoxia model in rats were simalated by using the self-made cabin of intermittent hypoxia.At the 2nd,4th,6th,and 8th week respectively,learning and memory function in rat was tested by Morris water maze in two groups.The level of NSE protein in hippocampal CA1 region was detected by immunohistochemical method,and was detected in serum of rats by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent adsorption method.Results Compared with the control group,7.5％ CIH group at the 2nd,4th,6th,and 8th week in rats from the second week of the escape latency time was 44.13± 2.84) s,(50.35 ± 1.96) s,(57.47 ± 1.66) s,(62.85 ± 1.80) s,and across the target quadrant time was 48.81 ± 2.09) s,(42.04± 1.84) s,(36.82± 2.07) s,(31.81 ± 1.68) s.From the first two weeks,the longer the hypoxia time prolonged,the longer the rat's escapedlatency (P＜0.05) and the shorter the rats acrossed the target quadrant (P ＜0.05).7.5％ CIH group of hippocampal CA1 neurons NSE protein at the 2nd,4th,6th,and 8th week was (9.69±1.37),17.10± 1.87),(24.79± 3.51),(34.16±5.35),respectively,and serum NSE protein at the 2nd,4th,6th,and 8th week respectively was (6.03±0.91) μg/L,(11.04± 1.89) μg/L,(16.39± 1.00) μg/L,(24.22±3.73) μg/L,both of which were more than the control group.The difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).7.5％ CIH group of hippocampal CA1 neurons and serum NSE protein expression were significant time differences,and gradually increased over time.The difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Positive NSE protein expression in hippocampal CA1 region relative NSE and serum protein expression values were positively correlated (r=0.94,P ＜0.01).But in control group NSE protein expression did not exist time difference (P＞0.05).Conclusion Intermittent hypoxia can cause NSE levels significant increase in serum and brain tissue,and the dynamic changes of them can reflect severity of learning and memory impairement in rat.

Objective:To investigate the correlation between IL-10 and I1-17 expression levels in Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (MPP) and lung function.Methods:70 patients were included in this study.According to wheezing or not,they were divided into wheezing group and non-wheezing group.Another 30 healthy children were taken as a control group.After taking fasting blood 5ml,the serum IL-10 and IL-17 expression levels were detected by ELISA.The forced expiratory volume in one second (PEV1),peak expiratory flow (PEF) and forced vital capacity (FEV1 / FVC) of all subjects were detected.Results:The IL-10 expression level of the wheezing group were significantly different with that of the control group (P＜0.05) and that of the non-wheezing group (P＜0.05).The 1L-17 expression level of the wheezing group also had significant difference (P＜0.05) with that of the control group and non-wheezing group (P＜0.05).The IL-10 expression levels of wheezing and non-wheezing group all were lower than that of the control group.Whereas the IL-17 expression levels of wheezing and non-wheezing group all were higher than that in the control group.In addition,patients in wheezing group had higher PEV1,PEF,PVE1/FVC values than those in non-wheezing group,with significant difference (P＜0.05).The serum level of IL-10 expression of Mycoplasma pneumonia patients was positively correlated with PEV1,PEF and PVE1/FVC,while the serum level of IL-17 expression of Mycoplasma pneumonia patients was negatively correlated with PEV1,PEF and PVE1/FVC.Conclusion:The serum levels of IL-17 and IL-10 expression of Mycoplasma pneumonia children had close correlation with their pulmonary function.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the effect and clinical significance of serum S100β and NSE on moderate and severe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAHS) after the continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). METHOD: A total of 60 cases with obstructive sleep apnea were choosed with PSG in our hospital in June 2009 to June 2009. According to apnea hypoventilation index and at night the lowest oxygen saturation, divided into severe group (n=60) and moderate group (n=60), selecting 60 cases of healthy physical examination for a control over the same period. According to the length of the course of the disease in patients with each group can be divided into <5 years group, 5-10 years and > 10 years group, severe and moderate groups were recruited to undergo an CPAP treatment,both before and after treatment for 3 months, the lowest oxygen saturation, average blood oxygen saturation and apnea hypoventilation index were determined in moderate and severe groups with PSG, at the same time, serum S100β and NSE were determined with immune enzyme-linked adsorption testing before and after patients in different course of treatment and control group. RESULT: Compared with pretherapy of severe and moderate groups, the lowest oxygen saturation, average blood oxygen saturation and apnea hypoventilation index were ower after treatment (P<0. 05), serum S100β and NSE in severe and moderate groups before and after treatment were significantly higher than control group (P<0. 05), and two groups > 10 years before and after treatment in patients with serum according to beta and NSE levels higher than 5-10 patients, 5-10 patients before and after treatment according to beta and NSE serum levels higher than <5 years group of patients, the relation between the two groups of patients before and after treatment according to beta and NSE serum levels with the extension of history time increased. Before the treatment serum according to beta and NSE in patients with severe group were higher than moderate group before treatment (P< 0.05). Relation between the two groups after treatment according to beta and serum NSE was significantly decreased the (P<0. 05), the relation between the two groups after treatment according to beta and serum NSE, there was no statistically significant difference (p>0. 05), the relation between two groups according to beta, NSE serum are positively correlated with AHI (P < 0. 01). CONCLUTION CPAP significantly reduced serum S100β and NSE levels in patients with OSAHS, both may be important index which evaluated nervous system protection of CPAP in patients with OSAHS.

Objective Both decreased glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and arterial stiffness were considered as risk factors for atherosclerosis. Previous studies have suggested the association between central arterial stiffness and the degree of GFR loss. Whether decreased GFR contributes to peripheral artery stiffness remains controversial. Moreover, data analyzed from a cohort of Chinese women are rare. Our aim was to explore the relationship between GFR and regional arterial stiffness in Chinese women. Methods In this cross-sectional study, we randomly recruited 1131 adult women residents with GFR ≥ 60 mL/min per 1.73 m2 estimated by the Chinese Modification of Diet in Renal Disease equation from three large communities. Central and peripheral arterial stiffness were estimated simultaneously by measuring carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (PWVcf) and carotid-radial PWV (PWVcr) using a validated automatic device. Augmentation Index at heart rate 75 beats/minutes (AIx-75) was measured by pulse wave analysis as a composite parameter reflecting both large and distal arterial properties. Results The mean estimated GFR (eGFR) of the study group was 100.05 ± 23.26 mL/minute per 1.73 m2. Subjects were grouped by tertiles of eGFR level. PWVcf and AIx-75 increased ongoing from the top to the bottom eGFR tertile, while the values of PWVcr were comparable. Both univariate Pearson correlations and multiple stepwise regression analyses showed that eGFR significantly correlated to PWVcf, but not to PWVcr and AIx-75. Conclusions In Chinese women with normal to mildly impaired renal function, decreased eGFR affected carotid-to-femoral rather than carotid-to-radial stiffening. This provides rational to conduct future prospective studies to investigate predictors of atherosclerosis in this population.
