Objective To evaluate the effectiveness among computed tomography-guided aspiration.minimally invasive microsurgery and conventional craniotomy on patients with intracerebral hemorrhage and their quality of life separately. Then to study the cost-effectiveness of the 3 surgical procedures. Methods One hundred and five patients with intracerebral hemorrhages were randomized into 3 groups:conventional group, stereotactic group and key-hole group.Karnofsky Performance Status Scale was examined 3 months after operation, and the cost of hospitahzation was calculated separately, then the cost-effectiveness was compared using cost-utility analysis. Results Costs of 3 procedures were 9741 yuan,7957 yuan and 13256 yuan separately, and Karnofsky Performance Status Scale were 59.7,63.7 and 50.3 separately. When self-care case was achieved in all conventional group, the stereotactic group and key-hole group need to remedy 51 eases and 10 cases separately.and the total cost was 496819 yuan for stereotactic group and 79575 yuan for key-hole group. Conclusions Minimally invasive microsurgery is optimal treatment for intracerebral hemorrhage.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of polyamide on the separation on phenolic acids components by nanofiltra-tion process. METHODS:Phenolic acids components were selected as targets, extracted from the Salvia miltiorrhiza,Lonicera ja-ponica or intermediate preparations (tea polyphenols) with water, and filtered with membranes with different pore sizes. The con-tent changes of components were analyzed by HPLC. RESULTS:Danshensu, protocatechuic aldehyde and caffeic acid could better transmit nanofiltration membranes with 3 different pore sizes;with the decrease of pore size, the rejection rates of neochlorogenic acid, chlorogenic acid, rosmarinci acid,ECG and EGCG grew in different levels. But salvianolic acid B was almost retained by the membrane with low molecular weight except 600-800 Da. CONCLUSIONS:Molecular weight importantly influenced nanofiltra-tion separation on phenolic acid components;nanofiltration has a good prospect in enrichment of phenolic acids components.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the efficacy and safety of local lauromacrogol injection in the treatment of laryngopharyngeal hemangioma. METHODS A total of 10 patients suffering from hemangioma of pharynx and larynx from Aug 2015 to Mar 2018 were collected. Endoscope assisted local lauromacrogol injection under topical was used. The therapeutic effects were observed and analyzed.RESULTS All patients were followed up for 3 months to 1 year. Among them, 9 cases were cured and 1 was obviously effective for totally 1 to 4 (mean 1.9) injections. All patients complained of postoperative pain or foreign body sensation, 3 patients were significantly affected by local swelling of the injection site. 2 patients underwent tracheostomy and 1 patient returned to ward with endotracheal intubation postoperatively. No complications such as mucosal ulceration, fever, allergies occurred. CONCLUSION Lauromacrogol injection is a safe and effective method to treat hemangioma of pharynx and larynx.

Objective To investigate the expressions of neurite outgrowth inhibitor (Nogo),myelin-associated glycoprotein (MAG) and Nogo receptor-1 (NgR1),and neuro-protective effect of N-Butylphthalide (NBP) in rat brain tissues following acute CO poisoning. Methods Sixty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into normal group,CO poisoning group and NBP treatment group (n=20).Rats in CO poisoning group and NBP treatment group were induced acute CO poisoning in hyperbaric chamber and received hyperbaric oxygen therapy.Meanwhile, rats in the NBP treatment group were subjected to oral NBP 6 mg/100 g twice a day additionally. The expressions ofNogo,MAG and NgR1 were investigated in rat brain tissues by immunohistochemistry and double immunofluorescence staining 1 day,3 days,1 week and 4 weeks after CO exposure. Results With the prolongation of CO poisoning, the levels ofNogo,MAG and NgR1 in brain tissues of the CO poisoning group were gradually increased, and their expressions could still be detected at 4 weeks after CO poisoning.NBP treatment group had significantly reduced Nogo and NgR1 protein levels, and statistical differences were noted as compared with those in the CO poisoning group at each time point (P<0.05).The level of MAG in NBP treatment group was slightly lower than that in CO poisoning group without statistical difference (P> 0.05).Conclusions The levels ofNogo,MAG and NGR1 proteins may be associated with brain injury and demyelination induced by CO poisoning.NBP can downregulate the levels of Nogo and NgR1 proteins (but not MAG),and may play a neuro-protective role in brain damage after acute CO poisoning.

Age-associated changes in immune cells have been linked to an increased risk for infection. However, a global and detailed characterization of the changes that human circulating immune cells undergo with age is lacking. Here, we combined scRNA-seq, mass cytometry and scATAC-seq to compare immune cell types in peripheral blood collected from young and old subjects and patients with COVID-19. We found that the immune cell landscape was reprogrammed with age and was characterized by T cell polarization from naive and memory cells to effector, cytotoxic, exhausted and regulatory cells, along with increased late natural killer cells, age-associated B cells, inflammatory monocytes and age-associated dendritic cells. In addition, the expression of genes, which were implicated in coronavirus susceptibility, was upregulated in a cell subtype-specific manner with age. Notably, COVID-19 promoted age-induced immune cell polarization and gene expression related to inflammation and cellular senescence. Therefore, these findings suggest that a dysregulated immune system and increased gene expression associated with SARS-CoV-2 susceptibility may at least partially account for COVID-19 vulnerability in the elderly.
