Objective To emphasize the necessitya and principle of hearing and speech training after cochlear implantatiom.Methods 2 cases evaluation pre-and post-operation.Results The result of 1 case who carried out effective hearing and speech training post-operation is much better than the result of another one who did not do the training.Conclusion The deaf children can get hearing by cochlear implant.In order to get good rehabilitation result,they should do scientific and effective hearing and speech training.

Objective;To explore the regulative effect of perceived social support between personality and mental health.Methods;With Perceived Social Support Scale,NEO Five Factor Inventory and General Health Questionnaire-GHQ 20,1800 college students from 9 Hunan colleges and universities were inverstigated.Results;①Significant positive correlation existed between the factors of GHQ-20 and NEO-N,while significant negative correlation between the factors of GHQ-20 and NEO-E,NEO-C and all factors of perceived social support;perceived social support and its factors had significant negative correlation with NEO-N,while significant positive correlation with NEO-E and NEO-C.②There was significant interaction effects between perceived social support and personality existing in mental health.Conclusion;Students' perceived social support play a regulative role between personality and mental health.

Objective To systematically compare the effects of integrated Chinese-Western medicine(ICWM) with Western medicine alone(WM) in treatment for type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods Both a computer-aided search of PubMed,CNKI,VIP,Wanfang data and an intensive search by hand were conducted to identify all randomized controlled trials assessing the effect of ICWM with WM in treating T2DM and Meta-analysis was performed.Results Ninety six studies were collected,of which 20 studies were involved.Combined OR of efficient rate was 4.26 and its 95% confidence interval(CI) was 3.42-5.32,weighted mean difference(WMD) of fasting blood glucose(FBG),triglyceride and total cholesterol were-1.16 mmol?L-1[95%CI-1.36,-0.96],-0.27 mmol?L-1 [95%CI-0.41,-0.12],-0.71 mmol?L1 [95%CI-0.98,0.44],respectively.Conclusion ICWM has a better effect in treating T2DM compared with WM alone.

Objective To investigate the imaging findings of primary hepatic carcinoid tumor with dynamic MRI and spiral CT.Methods Eleven cases with pathologically confirmed primary hepatic carcinoid tumor were analyzed retrospectively.Four cases were examined with spiral CT,and 8 cases were examined with MRL Results Two of 11 cases had multiple tumors,presenting as two or more nodular lesions,while the remaining 9 cases had single tumor.Four cases showed well-defined low density on the plain scan of CT,with central irregular cystic areas.Lesions enhanced unevenly on arterial phase of CT,with no enhancement in the central part The edge of lesions showed delayed reduced enhancement on portal vein phase.than the arterial phase,while non-enhanced lesions in the center areas.Eight cases were detected by MRI,seven On MRI,7 of 8 lesions showed uneven low signal on T_1WI and high signal with central low intensity on T_2WI.On arterial phase of MRI,7 cases had uneven enhancement at the peripheral part and irregular non-enhanced signal in center.Lesions showed delayed mild enhancement in the peripheral parts,with a relatively smaller non-enhanced central area.One case was cystic,with high signal included in the extensive low density on T_1WI.The case appeared high signal on T_2WI and had uneven enhancement at the edge on arterial phase,low signal on delayed phase.Conclusion Primary hepatic carcinoid tumor exhibits some imaging features on plain and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI and spiral CT,which can be the clue for the diagnosis.

AIM To investigate the action of rosiglitazone on blood glucose,blood lipid,and the vascular remodeling in rats fed with high-fructose diet. METHODS After fed with high-fructose diet for one month,rats were randomly divided into two groups:High-fructose diet group that continued feeding with high-fructose diet for another month; High-fructose diet+rosiglitazone group fed with high-fructose diet and rosiglitazone (5 mg?kg -1?d -1, dissolved in water) for one month. At last,one half of each group were anesthetized,and the fasting blood, obtained from heart,was used to detect blood glucose,blood lipid,blood insulin. The aorta and mesenteric artery were gotten from the other half of each group, fixed in formalin,sliced and HE dyed. [ ABSTRACT] AIM:To construct a conditionally replicating adenovirus vector activated by CXCR4 promoter and to evaluate its ability of lysing the lung cancer cells specifically.METHODS:Human CXCR4-E1A gene amplified by PCR was cloned into the shuttle plasmid pDC316-GFP to construct the recombinant shuttle plasmid pDC316-CXCR4-GFP.The recombinat shuttle plasmid and adenovirus genomic plasmid pBHG-lox-E1, 3Cre were transfected into 293 cells to construct the recombinant adenovirus CRAd-CXCR4-GFP.PCR was used to detect the target gene fragments, and the viral titer was determined.A549 cells with the highest mRNA expression of CXCR4 were screened out from 5 kinds of lung cancer cell lines by real-time PCR.CXCR4 promoter activity and adenovirus replication numbers were detected in A549 cells after transfection of CRAd-CXCR4-GFP and Ad-NULL.CRAd-CXCR4-GFP and Ad-NULL were transfected into A549 cells and 16HBE cells, the apoptotic rates were detected by flow cytometry and the viability was analyzed by CCK-8 assay.RE-SULTS:The recombinant plasmid pDC316-CXCR4-GFP was constructed successfully.Green fluorescence was observed in 293 cells under fluorescent microscope after co-transfection of pDC316-CXCR4-GFP and pBHG-lox-E1, 3Cre at 11 d. Green fluorescence was observed in 293 cells after infection of amplified 3rd generational adenovirus.PCR showed that the purpose gene was successfully integrated in recombinant adenovirus genome.The virus in the supernatant reached a titer of 1 ×1013 PFU/L.The mRNA expression of E1A and E4 in the A549 cells after transfection of CRAd-CXCR4-GFP was markedly increased compared with Ad-NULL group.Compared with Ad-NULL group and empty control group, the apoptotic rate and the viability of A549 cells in CRAd-CXCR4-GFP group had no significant difference in the first 4 d, the apoptotic rate increased significantly at 5 d, and the cell viability declined significantly at 5 d, but the apoptotic rate and the viability of 16HBE cells in each group had no significant difference within 5 days.CONCLUSION: The conditionally replicating adenovirus vector CRAd-CXCR4-GFP has been successfully constructed, which has the ability of lysing lung cancer cells specifically.

Objective To investigate the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computerized tomography (CT) imaging findings of hepatic angiomyolipoma (AML).Methods Twelve cases of hepatic AML,which were confirmed by pathologists between 2009 and 2011 in our hospital,were retrospectively analyzed.Results There were 3 males and 9 females with an average age of 44.17 years (range,34 to 60 years).There were 14 lesions,8 in left lobe,6 in right lobe.All of 12 cases were confirmed as angiomyolipoma by pathologists.Nine cases were performed with MRI,2 with CT,and 1 with both CT and MRI.The border of lesions were clear in 8 cases.Fat contents were shown on CT and/or MRI in 8 cases.After administrated with contrast medium,the lesion enhancement was still apparent or slightly decreased in 9 lesions from portal phase to delayed phase.The suppression of portal vein and inferior vena cava by tumor were seen in 5 lesions.Abnormal vascular distortion was seen in 6 lesions.None of 12 lesions were found with portal vein thrombosis.Conclusion The diagnosis of hepatic angiomyolipoma should be considered when CT and MRI show good boundaries,intratumoral fat content,delayed lesion enhancement,and vascular distortion.

Objective To measure the sizes of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) by echocardiography,compare the results with those by X-ray angiography(XA),to analysis the correlation of measurements between echocardiography and XA,to explore the value of echocardiography on screening the size of PDA suitable for transcatheter occlusion.Methods One hundred and forty-one participants was included.The parameters of PDA including the length of PDA(PDAL),the aortic side diameter (PDADao) and the pulmonary side diameter of PDA(PDADpa) were measured from the parasternal great artery short-axis view (PSSA) and the suprasternal descending aorta long-axis view(SSLA) of echocardiography and left lateral projection of XA,and the other parameters such as the left ventriclular end-diastolic diameter index (LVEDDI),the main pulmonary artery diameter index(MPADI),the pressure drop of PDA shunt (△P) and the pulmonary artery systolic pressure index(PASPI) were measured by echocardiography.The sizes of PDA from PSSA,SSLA and XA were compared,and the correlations of the sizes of PDA between echocardiography and XA,the correlations between the other parameters by echocardiography and the PDADpa index(PDADIpa) by XA(PDADIpa-XA) and PSSA(PDADIpa-PSSA) were analyzed.Results ①The difference of the sizes of PDA:Between PSSA and SSLA had difference on mersurement of PDA(all P ＜ 0.05),except SSLA had no difference on measurement of PDADao with XA (P ＞0.05),others echocardiography parameters all had difference on measurement of PDA with XA (all P ＜ 0.05).②Correlation:Both PSSA and SSLA had positive correlations with XA (all P ＜0.01).And among these parameters,PDAL by SSLA,PDADao by SSLA and PDADpa by PSSA had better correlations with XA (r =0.92,0.87 and 0.91,respectively,all P ＜0.01).LVEDDI,MPADI and PASPI had positive correlations with PDADIpa (all P ＜0.01),the LVEDDI and MPADI had better correlations with PDADIpa-PSSA(r =0.76,0.72,all P ＜0.01),but the PASPI had a better correlation with PDADIpa-XA(r =0.70,P ＜0.01).PASP had a negative correlation with △P (r =-0.79,P ＜0.01).Conclusions There was difference between the sizes of PDA at different echocardiographic views,PDADpa by PSSA and the PDAL and the PDADao by the SSLA were more close to those parameters by XA.Multiplane views of echocardiography can evaluate all the more accurately the size of PDA and play an important role in guiding transcatheter occlusion of PDA.

AIM: To observe the influence of serum contained Tongmai herbal medicine on calcium overload of the anoxic myocardial cells. METHODS: Serum contained Tongmai herbal medicine was prepared with the serum pharmacological method and the model of anoxic myocardial cells was established. The intracellular free calcium concentration and the expression of the L-type calcium channel were determined with Fura-2/AM and RT-PCR, respectively. RESULTS: The serum contained Tongmai herbal medicine and levo-anlodipine decreased the intracellular free calcium concentration in the anoxic myocardial cells. The serum contained Tongmai herbal medicine also suppressed the expression of L-type calcium channel in the anoxic myocardial cells, but levo-anlodipine had no effect on the expression of L-type calcium channel. CONCLUSION: Tongmai herbal medicine can attenuate calcium overload in anoxic myocardial cells.
