Objective Through detecting the expression of erbB-2 and erbB-3 of epithelial growth factor receptor family in clinical specimens of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma, to explore the role of erbB-2 and erbB-3 in the carcinogenesis and development of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma. Methods Thirty-four specimens of adenoid cystic carcinoma were tested with immunohistochemical assay. Then the relationship between the expressions of erbB-2, erbB-3 and the gender, age of patients, TNM staging, tumor size and nerve invasion were analyzed. Results The positive expression ratios of erbB-2 and erbB-3 were 64. 7% and 32.4% respectively. And 29.4% of tumors were positively stained both by erbB-2 and erbB-3. The expression of erbB-3 was significantly correlated with TNM staging of tumors (P = 0. 026). The correlationship between the expressions of erbB-2 and erbB-3 was also found. Conclusions erbB-3 and erbB-2 may play important roles in the carcinogenesis and development of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma. The positive expression of erbB-3 was associated with the biological behavior of tumors and prognosis of patients, and might become one of markers to evaluate the prognosis of patients.
2.Prevention effect of risk management on deep venous thrombosis after the femoral neck fracture operation
Chinese Journal of Modern Nursing 2015;(18):2185-2187
Objective To explore the prevention effect of risk management on deep vein thrombosis (DVT)after the operation of femoral neck fracture. Methods According to convenience sampling method,128 patients with femoral neck fractures in Xiaoshan District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from July 2012 to June 2013 were as the control group. With the same convenience sampling method,136 cases with femoral neck fracture from July 2013 to June 2014 were as the observation group. The control group used the routine nursing care, while the observation group used risk management based on routine nursing method. The occurrence with DVT,prevention related knowledge, and causes for the occurrence of DVT were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group, the incidence of thrombosis was 2. 9% ,which was significantly lower than that of the control group(10. 9% )(χ2 = 6. 611,P < 0. 05);score of prevention related knowledge of DVT in the observation group was(93. 6 ± 4. 7),which was significantly higher than that of the control group(84. 3 ± 4. 1)(t = 8. 073,P < 0. 05). There was no statistically significant difference in the causes of DVT,which contained the older age, previous history of thrombosis and braking, time in bed over three days, and the distribution of DVT between the two groups(P > 0. 05). Sperson correlation analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between DVT and whether high risk patients(r = 0. 472,P = 0. 029). Conclusions Risk management has a good protective effect on DVT after femoral neck fracture operation.

AIM: To discuss the impacts of pterygium excision combined with low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation and autologous conjunctival flap transplantation on tear film function, visual function, and recurrence rate in patients with pterygium.METHODS: A retrospective study was conducted on patients with pterygium who underwent surgery at Jiangyin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2021 to January 2024. The patients were divided into two groups based on the surgical methods: the excision group with 50 cases(50 eyes)and the combined group with 51 cases(51 eyes). The excision group underwent pterygium excision, while the combined group received low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation and autologous conjunctival flap transplantation in addition to the excision. The tear film function [Schirmer's test(SⅠt), tear film break-up time(BUT)], visual quality, therapeutic effect, incidence of complications within 1 a, and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.RESULTS: The general data of the two groups were comparable(P>0.05). After treatment, the SⅠt and BUT in the combined group were greater than those in the excision group(both P<0.001), while the corneal astigmatism and uncorrected visual acuity were lower than those in the excision group(both P<0.001). The initial treatment efficiency in the combined group(92%)was higher than that in the excision group(76%). Within 1 a, the recurrence rate(8% vs 22%)and complication rate(6% vs 24%)in the combined group were both lower than those in the excision group(both P< 0.05).CONCLUSION: The union of pterygium excision, low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation, and autologous conjunctival flap transplantation is beneficial for improving the efficacy, visual acuity, tear film function, and reducing recurrence rate in patients with pterygium.
