Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(07):-
To explore the theoretical basis of the heretability of servicemen's personalities and to provide references for the development of a set of scientific and effective psychological interventions, 1 306 servicemen were subjected to the 16-PF inventory questionaire and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) examination of angiotensin. The results showed that there was a significant correlation between the scores of self-will, social boldness, self-reliance, and self-restraint in the female servicemen, and the scores of self-will, boldness, self-reliance, emotional stability, and openness in the male servicemen were significantly correlated with the DD genotype of the ACE gene. The results suggested that the determination of the DD genotype of the ACE gene could be used as a useful tool in the research of heretability of personality factors.

Objective To discuss the effective method for decreasing operative complications in acetabular fractures. Methods A retrospective analysis was done on 70 patients with acetabular fractures treated with open reduction and internal fixation from June 1998 to June 2003 so as, in combination of follow up data, to investigate cause, mechanism, and effective preventive and therapeutic methods. Results Open reduction and internal fixation were effective methods for acetabular fractures but had too many complications especially in traumatic arthritis and femoral head avascular necrosis, to which we must pay much more attention. Conclusions Operative injury lessening and anatomical reduction are keys to decrease of operative complications. Anterior screw fixation through inguinal approach may be an effective method of decreasing operative injury and complications.

Objective To compare the operation effects of sensation restoration after tumor resection in the head and neck defects reconstruction by anterolateral thigh flap with or without sensory nerve transplantation. Methods The application of 76 cases anterolateral thigh flaps in head and neck defects reconstruction after tumor resection from May,2011 to May,2015 were observed.35 patients underwent simultaneous reconstruction with sensory nerve anastomosed perforator based anterolateral thigh flap and 41 patients underwent simultaneous reconstruction without sensory nerve graft based anterolateral thigh flap, which was named as group A and group B,respective ly.The treatment effectiveness of the two groups was compared and graded into First,Second and Third rate. Results All the 76 flaps survived.Satisfying morphology for the maxillofacial region and stage-one healing for the donor site was available.During the 24-week follow-up,group A were 65.71% (First rate),28.57% (Second rate),5.72%(Third rate) respectively, and the condition of group B were 31.70%,26.84%,41.46%.The treatment effectiveness of group A was better than that of group B.Postoperative complications were less than group B(P < 0.05).Conclusion Compared with the loss of nerve transplantation of anterolateral thigh perforator flap, sensory nerve anastomosed perforator based anterolateral thigh flap is of great value to reconstruct the defect after resection of tumor in head and neck region and restore the sensation of flap.

Kinetic model analysis is a useful tool for understanding the regulation and control of cellular metabolism and thus offering a guideline for rational design of high efficiency cell factory. Based on previously published models and experimental measurement of enzyme kinetics data, we developed a kinetic model for the threonine biosynthesis pathway in Escherichia coli. This model integrates the central pathways that produce precursors, ATP and reducing power with the threonine biosynthesis pathway from aspartate. In contrast to the previous models, we considered the energy and reducing power balance rather than artificially set their concentrations. Metabolic control analysis of the model showed that enzymes PTS, G6PDH, HDH etc. have great flux control coefficients on the threonine biosynthesis flux. This indicates higher threonine synthesis flux could be achieved by overexpressing these enzymes.

Objective To verify the relationship between qi-yin deficiency syndrome and the etiology and diagnostic information on type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods Data of 185 cases of qi-yin deficiency syndrome of type 2 diabetes and 351 cases of other syndromes at TCM Hospital of Hongqiao District in Tianjin and Metabolic Disease Hospital of Tianjin Medical University were randomly collected. Etiology and diagnostic information of qi-yin deficiency syndrome were screened by the likelihood radio of forward step method by using Logistic regression analysis. On this basis, the relationship between qi-yin deficiency syndrome and the etiology and diagnostic information was verified by using maximum likelihood estimation method of the structural equation model. Results The goodness of fit index of the model (GFI) was 0.909; root mean square residual (RMR) of that was 0.071; comparative fit index (CFI) of that was 0.942, which suggested that the fitting effect of the model was good. The reasonable interpretation of the relationship between qi-yin deficiency syndrome and the etiology and diagnostic information was given. Conclusion From the aspect of single syndrome factors, the relationship between qi-yin deficiency syndrome and the etiology and diagnostic information on type 2 diabetes mellitus is verified.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2013;(17):1038-1041
Objective:To explore the role of DKK-1 andβ-catenin expressions in progression of proximal gastric cancer (PGC). Methods:The expression of DKK-1 andβ-catenin in 61 cases with PGC and para-neoplastic tissues and 20 cases with normal gastric mucosa was detected by immunohistochemistry. The related clinical significance in the cases was studied. Results:The positive expression rate of DKK-1 and the abnormal expression rate ofβ-catenin in the tissue sections of PGC were 34.4%(21/61) and 68.9%(42/61), respectively. The positive expression rate of DKK-1 and the abnormal expression rate ofβ-catenin in para-carcinoma tissues were 8.2%(5/61) and 6.6%(4/61) , respectively. The positive expression rate of DKK-1 and the abnormal expression rate ofβ-catenin in normal gastric mucosa were 15.0%(3/20) and 10.0%(2/20), respectively. The expression rate was significantly higher in PGC than that in the other tissues (P<0.05). The expression of DKK-1 was positively related to that ofβ-catenin in PGC (r=0.454, P<0.05), but not in the others. Conclusion:Higher expressions of DKK-1 and the abnormal expression ofβ-catenin are closely related to the occurrence of PGC.

Objective To investigate the expression of histone acetylated H3 and H4, methylated H3K4 and H3K9 in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). Methods The expression of histone acetylated H3 and H4, methylated H3K4 and H3K9 were examined by SP immunohistochemistry technique in lymphoid tissue of 40 cases with DLBCL and 16 cases with proliferative lymphadenitis. Results The expression of histone acetylation of H3 and H4 were lower than that in proliferative lymphadenitis. Histone methylated H3K4 was lower in expression and H3K9 was in higher expression. There was a positive correlative expression between the global histone acetylation of H3 and H4, the global histone acetylation of H3, H4 and histone methylation of H3K4. Conclusion Improper modification of histone acetylations and methylations may play an important role in pathogenesis in DLBCL.
