Objective To explore the relationship between the emotional labor and personality of the health care workers. Methods 168 health care workers in 6 hospitals of Shandong province were surveyed to complete the Emotional Labor Scale and the revised NEO personality inventory(NEO-PI-R). Results The first strategy of emotional labor that workers usually used was natural acting (5.17±1.15),the next one was deep act-ing (4.74±0.78) and the last was surface acting(3.88±1.21). The correlation analysis showed that the extro-version had a negative correlation (r=-0.20, P < 0.05) with the surface acting and a positive correlation (r=0. 31, P<0.01) with the deep acting. The agreeableness had a positive correlation (r=0.22, P < 0.05) with the nat-ural acting. The conscientiousness had a positive correlation (r=0.25, P<0.05) with the deep acting. The extro-version had significant negative influence on surface acting and significant positive influence on deep acting. The a-greeableness had positive significant effect on natural acting and the conscientiousness had positive significant effect on deep acting. Conclusion Personality influenced the emotional labor and gender, age, work tenure and ed-ucational had significant effect on emotional labor.

Objective To study the role of coping styles in the relationship between coping resources and psychosomatic health in patients with asthma. Methods 184 adult patients with asthma were investigated with General Serf-Efficacy Scale (GSES), Internality, Powerful Others, and Chance Scale (IPC), Social Support Rat-ing Scale (SSRS), Defensive Style Questionnaire (DSQ), Trait Coping Style Questionnaire (TCSQ) and Short Form 36 Health Survey Questionnaire (SF-36). Results Significant correlation between self-efficacy (r=0.356),locus of control(Ir=0.208, Pr=0.341, Cr=-0.349) ,subjective(r=0.201) and objective(r=0.189)social support, immature and middle ( r = - 0. 257 ) defensive styles and coping styles ( PCr = 0.231, NCr =-0.505 ) with Mental Component Summary (MCS) was found (all P <0.05), but Physical Component Summary (PCS) was only related to self-efficacy( r=0. 175) ,chance(r=0.150),immature(r=-0.256) and middle de-fensive Styles and negtive coping styles (all P < 0.05). PCS (t = - 5.189) and MCS (t = - 6. 758) could be predic-ted effectively by negative coping style (all P<0.01). Moreover, self-efficacy, powerful others and the use of so-cial support could had an effect on the health of patients through negative coping style. Conclusion Negative coping style could not only have a direct effect on the health of asthma patients but also be a mediator between self-efficacy, locus of control, social support and the health of patients.

Objective To observe the effects of kidney aquaporin-2 (AQP2) expression in Lung-Qi deficiency model rats and provide experimental evidence for the traditional Chinese medical theory that the kidney is related with the lung in charge of regulating the water passage. Method Twenty healthy rats were divided into the model group and the control group. The method of immunohistochemistry and Western blot was used to determine the expression of AQP2 in kidney. RT-PCR was applied to analyze the expression of AQP2 mRNA in lung and kidney tissues. Result The expression of AQP2 and AQP2 mRNA in kidney in model group was higher than in the control group. Conclusion The expression of AQP2 in kidney was higher in Lung-Qi deficiency model rats. One of the substance basis of "lung in charge of regulating the water passage" may be related to the change of AQP2 expression in the kidney tissues.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2016;39(6):561-564
Objective To study the optimal dose of esmolol for maintaining cardiovascular stability in patients with hypertension during tracheal extubation. Methods In post-anestheisa care unit, hypertensive patients after general anesthesia meeting the extubation criteria were included. Patients were divided into 2 groups according the age: group Ⅰ (>65 years old for the elderly hypertensive, 21 cases), and groupⅡ(≤65 years old for the non-elderly hypertensive, 22 cases). All the patients received esmolol bolus before sputum suction and tube extraction, and the tracheal extubation were extubated 2 minutes after esmolol bolus. The systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and heart rate were was recorded before tracheal extubation, 2 min after esmolol bolus, at the time of sputum suction extubation, 1 min after tracheal extubation, 3 min after tracheal extubation and 5 min after tracheal extubation. Esmolol dose was determined by the up and down method. Initial dose was 0.5 mg/kg, in accordance with the arithmetic dose (0.2 mg/kg) increasing or decreasing progressively. In negative results (the systolic blood pressure at extubation or 5 min after extubation ≥ 20% of the base, or the systolic blood pressure at sputum suction extubation>180 mmHg, 1 mmHg=0.133 kPa) esmolol dose increased progressively, and in positive results (the systolic blood pressure at extubation or 5 min after extubation<20%of the base) esmolol dose decreased progressively. When the crosspoint (from positive to negative result) reached 6, the study was terminated. Results The median effective doses of esmolol for maintaining cardiovascular stability in groupⅠand groupⅡwere (0.6 ± 0.1) and (0.8 ± 0.1) mg/kg. Conclusions Esmolol can maintain cardiovascular stability in patients with hypertension during tracheal extubation. Median effective dose decreases in older hypertensive patients.
