Purpose:To explore the value of MSCT-3D in stomatology through comparing with COPT.Materials and Methods:Both MSCT 117 patients and COPT 117 patients in stomatology were selected at a particular period,COPT imaging was using computed post-processing,MSCT imaging was processed according to 3D information through work station,then to analyze the imaging results according to metal tooth、damaged tooth and broken tooth,later to compare the photograph 、the technique of computed post-processing、the photograph condition and exposure of MSCT and COPT.Results:Normal COPT patients were 9 cases ( 0.24% ),normal teeth were 3160 (84.4% ),unusual teeth were 551 (15.6%),normal MSCT-3D patients were llcases ( 0.29% ),normal teeth were 3138 (83.8% ),and unusual teeth were 606 (16.2% ).COPT belonged to COPT photograph,the emphasis was 2D,MSCT-3D belonged to spiral photograph,the emphasis was 3D,and MSCT imaging could be processed according to 3D reformation.The 3D effect of MSCT was batter than that of COPT.The radiation dosage was much higher than that of COPT.Conclusions: COPT could get 2D effects: MSCT-3D could improve 3D results on 2D basis,but the radiation dosage of MSCT is much higher than that of COPT in stomatology.

Seventy male mice (Kunming strain) were randomly divided into 7 groups(10 mice per group), each mouse was orally inoculated with 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5 or 3 muscle stage larvae of Trichinella spiralis, respectively. All infected mice were sacrificed 6 weeks post-inoculation, number of larvae per gram (LPG) of diaphragm were counted by compression method (trichinelloscopy), the carcass was digested by artificial digestion method and LPG was counted. The larval detection rate by trichinelloscopy and digestion method was 100%(10/10) in all mice infected with 30, 25, 20, 15 or 10 larvae, but 70% (7/10) and 100% in mice infected with 5 larvae, respectively. ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of glioma microenvironment and COX-2 inhibitor celecoxib on the phenotypes and function of dendritic cell (DC).MethodsThe expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) production were detected in glioma C6 cells treated with different concentration of celecoxib.Monocytes were isolated from human peripheral blood and cultured with 200 ng/ml rhGM-CSF and 50 ng/ml rhIL-4,either C6 tumor cells supernatant (TSN) or TSN from C6 cells treated with celecoxib to generate DCs.Cell morphology was observed.Cell phenotype including CD1a,CD80,CD83 and D86 were analyzed on a FACScan.Production of IL-12 in DC supernatant and the potential to stmiulate allogeneic T cell proliferation were detected.ResultsThe expression of COX-2 and PGE2 production in C6 cells decreased after treated with celecoxib in a concentration dependant manner.Typical DCs were induced in all groups and the expression of CD1a ((75.56±2.40)％,(75.09±3.67)％,(76.03 ±3.43)％),CD83((72.04±3.45)％,(71.44±3.78)％,( 73.63 ± 3.31 ) ％ ) had no difference (P ＞ 0.05 ).Expression of CD80 ( ( 58.41 ± 3.85 ) ％ ),CD86 ( ( 58.22 ±3.25)％ ) in DC with TSN obviously decreased compared with normal group( (70.36 ± 2.91 )％,(69.31 ±4.29 ) ％,P ＜ 0.01 ) as well as the IL-12 production ( ( 137.88 ± 5.33 ) pg/ml,( 186.04 ± 4.76 ) pg/ml) and the potential to stmiulate allogeneic T cell proliferation ( P ＜ 0.01 ).Celecoxib increased the expression of CD80,CD86 (66.83 ± 2.51,63.51 ± 5.47,P＜ 0.01 ) in DC and the same as IL-12 production( ( 170.31 ± 3.46) pg/ml,P ＜ 0.01 ) and the potential to stmiulate allogeneic T cell proliferation ( P ＜ 0.01 ),which were lower than the normal level.ConclusionGlioma microenvironment may induce the celecoxib can inhibit the expression of COX-2 and PGE2 in gliomas cells and improve the phenotypes and function defect of DCs.

Objective To observe changes of the structure and function of microvessels during the formation and development of the rat cerebral glioma with steady-state susceptibility contrast-enhanced MR imaging. Methods A total of 30 bearing-tumor rats were divided into 3 groups (1-week group, 2-week group and 3-week group) and underwent MR examination. Blood volime (BV) and vessel size index (VSI_(MRI)) of peripheral tumor areas, central tumor areas and normal cerebral tissue in the opposite side were measured, and compared with histologic findings. Results With time of bearing-tumor increasing, BV of central tumor area present an up-and-down curve-like change, which related to the host blood vessel regression in tumor central area, the decreasing of blood vessel density and histopathologically obvious necrosis. BV of peripheral tumor areas increased because of active blood angiogenesis in this area, while VSI_(MRI) increased gradually, especially in the central tumor area. There was obviously correlation between the VSI_(MRI) and VSI _(histo) (P<0.01). Conclusion BV and VSI_(MRI) can exactly reflect the morphology and functional information of microcirculation of tumor during the growth and development of gliomas.

Objective To explore the of value steady-state susceptibility contrast-enhanced MRI (SSCE-MRI) in assessment of anti-angiogenesis therapy in rat C6 glioma. Methods Seventeen rats with the bearing-tumor were randomly divided into the therapy group (n=8) and the contrast group (n=9). Human-recombination endostatin (10 mg/kg) was injected to animals in therapy group, and saline of the same dose was injected to the contrast group for 7 days. Blood volume (BV) and vessel size index (VSI) were measured of tumors in peripheral, central and normal areas with MR pre- and post-therapy. Results After therapy of endostatin, the tumor volume was obviously different between therapy group and contrast group (t=5.26, P<0.05). BV and VSI_(MRI) of tumor decreased in both peripheral and central areas, particularly in the peripheral area (t=4.14, 3.66, all P<0.01). Conclusion Assessment of therapeutic effect of anti-angiogenesis in C6 glioma is feasible with SSCE-MRI, and it can reflect the changes of BV and VSI_(MRI) pre- and post-therapy.

Objective To investigate the clinical value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in the diagnosis of postoperative complications after pancreas transplantation.Methods Eighty-six post pancreastransplantation patients were examined by CEUS to observe the perfusion of contrast agent,plot timeintensity curve (TIC),and compare to the results of enhanced CT,MRI and pathology.Results Eleven cases of thrombosis,13 cases of rejection and 13 cases of pancreatitis were observed among 86 patients.Result from CEUS showed that:① Distribution of normal pancreatic grafts vascular and parenchyma was even,TIC follows positive skewed distribution.②Thrombosis:there was no perfusion in the embolic vessels and no enhancement or low uneven enhancement in the parenchyma.③ Rejection:perfusion of the parenchyma was slow,peak value was decreased,rising and falling slope of the TIC was reduced with blunt peak.④Pancreatitis:perfusion of the parenchyma was uneven,the regional low enhanced area was visible,clear of the contrast agent was relatively slow,rising slope of TIC was reduced and the peak value was decreased.Conclusions CEUS can monitor the perfusion of the pancreatic grafts vascular and parenchyma,and get useful perfusion parameters.It has been proven as an effective method to definitely diagnose postoperative complications after pancreas transplantation.

Objective To investigate the quantitative analysis of tissue diffusion of real-time elastography(RTE) in chronic renal allograft injury(CRAI) and the relationship between RTE and the level of serum creatinine(Cr).Methods Sixty-nine cases of allograft renal transplantation patients were detected by conventional ultrasound and RTE.According to the time after operation and Cr,they were divided into three groups:group A (in three months after operation and normal Cr,25 cases),group B (more than three months after operation and normal Cr,23 cases),and group C (more than three months after operation and high Cr,21 cases).The results were compared and analyzed.Results ①Contrast between group A and group B,there were differences on Cr and average ralative strain value(MEAN),area ratio of low-strain region (％ AREA),complexity (COMP),skewness (SKEW),(P ＜ 0.05).② In group B,there was correlation between Cr and ％AREA,MEAN,SKEW (r =0.682,P ＜0.05; r =0.628,P ＜0.05; r =-0.481,P ＜0.05).③To make ROC curve,MEAN has higher sensitivity (90.9％),COMP has higher specificity and accuracy (68.0％,81.8％).④ To apply the third result in group C,4 or 5 cases in 21 were abnormal.Conclusions There is a good correlation between the quantitative analysis of tissue diffusion and the level of serum creatinine.RTE can indirectly reflect CRAI,and it is a new method of ultrasonic to evaluate renal allograft function.

Objective To identify and classify six isolates of swine-originated Trichinella from China. Methods Five specific pairs of primers were synthesized based on DNA sequence of expansion segment V region and internal tran-scribed spacers (ITS1 and ITS2) of ribosomal DNA repeat from Trichinella. International reference strains of five Trich-inella species [Trichinella spiralis (T1), T. nativa (T2), T. britovi (T3), T. pseudospiralis (T4) and T. nelsoni(T7)] were used as control. Six swine Trichienlla isolates from Henan, Yunnan, Harbin, Tongjiang of Heilongjiang, Hubei and Tianjin were identified by multiplex PCR and its effecting factors of PCR amplification were observed. Results Electrophoresis results of multiplex PCR products of Trichinella larvae showed that the band (173 bp) of the six isolates was the same as T. spiralis(T1). The specific band (173 bp) was detected by multiplex PCR through amplification from issues of single T. spiralis larva, the larvae conserved in 80% ethanol for 6 months, the larvae stored in 10% formaldehyde, in 0.05% formaldehyde, 0.2% sodium azide or 0.05% merthiotate for 2 weeks,or fresh mouse muscle with larvae. Conclusion All the six swine Trichinella isolates are identified as T. spiralis (T1) by multiplex PCR.

Objective To investigate the copy number changes of A20 and TNF genes,and determine the contribution of the two genes in the development of ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma.Methods Forty-one cases of archive paraffin-embedded ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma tissues were detected by interphase fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) using the commercial chromosome 6 centromere probe (CEP6),and house-made site-specific probe of A20 and TNF. Results Of the 41 ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma cases,loss of heterozygosity (LOH)in A20 locus was detected in 2 cases (4.88 ％).TNF extra copies were found in 5 cases (12.20 ％),of which three cases simultaneously had extra CEP6 signals.No A20 deletion were found coexistence with TNF extra copies in any case.Conclusion A20 gene deletion is present in the small part of ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma, and might contribute to the development of Chinese ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma.A20 deletion is not associated with extra copies of TNF locus.

Objective To analyse the efficacy of microvascular decompression for hemifacial spasm (HFS) caused by vertebral basilar artery compression. Methods A total of 141 patients with HFS treated by microvascular decompression in our hospital were collected in this study. The improvement of the symptoms after operation was compared between patients with HFS caused by vertebral basilar artery compression (28 cases) and patients with HFS caused by non-vertebral basilar artery compression (113 cases). Results There was no significant difference in the effective rate between the two groups of HFS (96.43%vs. 98.23%,P=0.49) with mean following-up 13.81 ± 1.57 months. And there was no significant difference in the delayed cure rate after surgery between two groups (37.04%vs. 20.72%,χ2=1.38, P>0.05). Conclusion Microvascular decompression is a safe and effective method for the treatment of HFS caused by compressed vertebral basilar artery.
