1.Effects of Helicobacter pylori infection on plasma lipid in patients with coronary heart disease.
Clinical Medicine of China 2008;24(11):1119-1121
Objective To investigate the effects of Helicohacter pylori infection on plasma lipid levels. Methods HpIgG was measured by ELISA in both 242 patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) and 88 subjects without CHD, and compared between these two groups. Then 242 patients with CHD were divided into HpIgG positive group and HpIgG negative group ,and total cholesterol (TC) ,triglyceride (TG) ,high density lipaprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL), apolipoprotein A (ApoA) , apolipoprotein B (ApoB) were analyzed and compared between these two subgroups. Results The rate of seropositivity for HpIgG in CHD patients was significantly higher than that of controls (53.3 % vs. 38.6 %, P < 0.05), and HDL, ApoA level in HplgG seropasitive group was signif-icantly lower than that of HpIgG seronegative one (P < 0.05). However, there was no difference of TC, TC, LDL and ApoB between these two subgroups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Hp infection may be associated with CHD. It may pro-mote the pathogenesis of CHD through lowering serum HDL-C level.
2.Association of angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor gene polymorphism with essential hypertension
Clinical Medicine of China 2010;26(10):1047-1049
Objective To investigate whether angiotensin Ⅱ type 1 receptor(AT1R)gene polymorphism is associated with essential hypertension(EH). Methods A total of 200 hypertension patients and 192 normotensive controls were enrolled. The AT1R gene 1166A/C and -810A/T polymorphism were determined by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-PFLP), and the association between the SNPs and the EH were analyzed statistically. Some biochemical index such as serum glucose (GLU) and total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein (LDL-C) were also measured. Results There was no significant difference between two groups of 1166A/C polymorphisms of AT1R gene(P > 0.05 ). However, for the -810A/T polymorphism of AT1R gene, -810 AT and TT genotypes frequencies were significantly higher in EH patients than control (P = 0. 004). The -810T allele frequencies were higher in case than in control (22.5% vs. 11.5% ;P =0.000). We also found an association between EH and -810AT and TT genotypes by logistic regression analysis ( P = 0. 003 ), adjusted for other risk factors. The odds ratio was 2.57 (95% CI:1. 37 ~4. 84). Conclusions AT1R -810A/T polymorphism is associated with EH and -810T allele may be a risk factor of hypertension

Objective: Blue dye was one of the methods for sentinel lymph node biopsy in breast cancer, but the success rate was affected by multiple factors. This study was to determine the related factors contributing to the success of sentinel lymph node biopsy in breast cancer using blue dye method. Method:From Jan. 2007 to Aug.2008, sentinel lymph node biopsy was performed by periareolarly injecting 1% methylene blue in 141 breast cancer patients followed by axillary clearance. Pathological diagnosis was performed for all of the lymph nodes by conventional HE staining. Unconditional logistic regression was applied to make both univariate and multiva-riate analysis. Results:Sentinel lymph node was successfully detected in 126 patients. But the biopsy was failed in the 15 patients. The success rate was 89.4% and the false negative rate was 6.82%. Univariate analysis showed that success rate of biopsy was in association with patients' age, body mass index (BMI), tumor size, preoperative axillary node's status, pathological grade as well as ≥4 positive axillary lymph nodes involved. Multivariate analysis indicated that the patients'age (OR=4.587, P=0.024), BMI (OR=4.882, P=0.011) as well as 4 or more of the axillary nodes involved (OR=3.143, P=0.013) were independent predicting factors for the success of sentinel lymph node biopsy. Conclusions:Methylene blue dyeing is a reliable method for sentinel lymph node biopsy. The rate of success is associated with patients' age, BMI as well as the number of metastases in axillary lymph nodes.

Objective To investigate the copy number changes of A20 and TNF genes, and determine the contribution of the two genes in the development of ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma. Methods Forty-one cases of archive paraffin-embedded ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma tissues were detected by interphase fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) using the commercial chromosome 6 centromere probe (CEP6),and house-made site-specific probe of A20 and TNF. Results Of the 41 ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma cases, loss of heterozygosity (LOH)in A20 locus was detected in 2 cases (4.88 %).TNF extra copies were found in 5 cases (12.20 %),of which three cases simultaneously had extra CEP6 signals. No A20 deletion were found coexistence with TNF extra copies in any case. Conclusion A20 gene deletion is present in the small part of ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma, and might contribute to the development of Chinese ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma.A20 deletion is not associated with extra copies of TNF locus.

Objective To investigate the availability and strategy of breast reconstruction for patients with caesarotomy scar using pedicled TRAM flap. Methods From January 2007 to May 2011,12 cases of breast reconstruction with caesarotomy scar were carried out with pedicled TRAM flaps. All the patients that were classified as the class Ⅱ that was 0.5 or less by score were operated on by using the inverted trapezoid incision,of which the upper edge was 2 or 3 cm down to the umbilicus.Double pedicles were adopted for the patient with the longest vertical scar; single pedicle of the breast contralateral side and the muscle sheath of the breast ipsilateral side were harvested for the rest of the patients.A synthetic mesh was used for the enforcement of the muscle and sheath defect. Results No flap necrosis or abdominal complications were observed. With the follow-up from 3 months to 4 years and 4 months, the overall satisfactory rate was 100 %.Conclusions The strict patient selection and the operating strategy are the keys to the successful breast reconstruction for patients with caesarotomy scar using pedicled TRAM flap.
