Objective To investigate the distribution of human papillomavirus (HPV) type 16 in women cervical infection in eastern Guangzhou, polymorphism of E6/E7 gene and association of gene dosage with disease progression. Methods Flow-through hybridization and gene chips were applied in HPV sub-type identification to screen out HPV-16 positive samples from cervical epithelium samples. HPV-16 E6/E7 gene was amplified through PCR with specific primers. The PCR products were cloned into pMD18-T vectors and fragments were determined through sequencing. Polymorphism analysis were performed through align-ment tools. Fluorescence quantitive PCR were used for the detection of viral E6 gene and L1 gene. Results Thirty-six (4.5%) HPV-16 positive samples were screened out through flow-through hybridization from 806 cervical epithelium samples. HSIL and above happened in 18 (50.0%) of the 36 HPV-16 positive patients. Within E6/E7 gene sequences from 7 selected samples, we found 15 sites with variances and 8 of them would cause coding amino acid change. HIL group (A, 11 cases) and LSIL group (B, 14 cases) possess significantly different gene dosage of both viral E6 gene and LI gene (P <0.05). The ratios of L1/E6 be-tween the 2 groups was not significantly different(P=0.19). Conclusion HPV-16 cervical infection oc-curs in 4.5% women (17-62 years old) in eastern Guangzhou. HIL or above accompany with half of the HPV 16 infected women. Viral load is probably associated with cervical HSIL, though L1/E6 ratios do not suggest viral integration.

By comparing routine FBP with algebraic iterative reconstruction, this study exploit the effect of the two SPECT reconstruction techniques on the ratio of Target/Background (T/B) and image noise. The result of research on model and clinical cases showed that the technique of OSEM could increase T/B ratio by 1.5% (heart), 3.3% (bone), 1.4% (brain). No obvious difference in image noise existed between OSEM and FBP. Compared with FBP, OSEM could improve T/B value in bone focus more significantly. Under the same injection dosage, OSEM could increase the speed of image collection by more than one time without changes in image quality and T/B ratio. The result suggested that function and clinical application of SPECT would significantly improved by substituting routine FBP with OSEM.

The pearly gallstone was discharged after Treatment with Magnetic Field (TMF). The pearly gallstones are measured with FT-IR spectrometer. The results demonstrate that mostly composition of this gall-stones is cholesterol and intermixture with some protean and inorganic calcium salt. Nature pearls is mostly composed with calcium carbonate. Their compositions are different. The pearly gall-stones show sandwich of cholesterol crystal in structure.

Objective To investigate the neurodevelopmental toxicity of ACR by studying the expression of DCX and GAP-43 in the hippocampal dentate gyrus of rats after maternal exposure to acrylamide. Methods Pregnant rats were randomly divided into low-dose ACR(4.5 mg/kg),medium-dose(9 mg/kg),high dose groups(18 mg/kg)and the control group(0 mg/kg),8 in each group, and were exposed to toxicant from gestation-al day 15 to postnatal day 13. All rats and their pups were killed on postnatal day 14. ABC immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of GFAP in the hippocampus of mother rats and offspring. Results Compared with the control group, the expression of DCX and GAP-43 in hippocampus dentate gyrus of the pregnant rats in middle and high dose groups was significantly decreased(P < 0.05). Conclusion ACR may interfere with the growth and development of neurons by reducing the expression of DCX and GAP-43.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Qingpeng ointment for the treatment of localized eczema in children. Methods A multicenter,randomized,open-labeled,tacrolimus 0.03% ointment-controlled clinical trial was conducted.A total of 442 children with localized eczema were enrolled into this study, and divided into 2 groups to topically apply Qingpeng ointment (Qingpeng group) and tacrolimus 0.03% ointment (tacrolimus group) respectively twice a day for 2 weeks. The children were followed up before the treatment and 1,2 weeks after the treatment, and the efficacy and safety were evaluated at the same time. Results Clinical data from 426 children were included in the efficacy analysis. At 1,2 weeks after the treatment, there were no significant differences in the response rate between the Qingpeng group and tacrolimus group (1 week after the treatment:78.92% vs.81.77%,x2 =0.545,P =0.460;2 weeks after the treatment:98.65% vs.97.54%,x2 =0.721,P =0.396).However,the pruritus scores at 1,2 weeks after the treatment were both significantly lower in the Qingpeng group than in the tacrolimus group (1 week:F =14.001,P =0.000;2 weeks:F =11.252,P =0.001).At 1 week after the treatment, the incidence rate of adverse reactions was significantly lower in the Qingpeng group than in the tacrolimus group (P < 0.05).Mild itching, burning sensation and other local irritant sensations were the most common adverse reactions. Conclusion Qingpeng ointment is safe and effective for the treatment of localized eczema in children with good tolerability.

Objective To study the compliance of forbidden depasturing livestock on the marshland with Oncomelania snails in schistosomiasis endemic areas. Methods According to 3 levels of human infection rates as > 10% ,5%-10% and <5% , 2 204 residents selected randomly from the schistosomiasis endemic villages were sampled with the stratified cluster sampling method in Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, and investigated by questionnaire. The contents of the questionnaire included the recognition and implementation of forbidden depasturing livestock on marshland with Oncomelania snails and breeding livestock in bam. Results A total of 78.4% residents agreed forbidden depasturing livestock on marshland with snails, but 3. 7% residents disagreed it. A total of 83. 9% residents considered the relationship between breeding livestock in bam and schistosomiasis control, but 3. 1% residents thought that it was no relationship. The main reasons of depasturing livestock on marshland with Oncomelania snails were the high cost of breeding livestock in bam (36. 2% ) , unaccustomed (26.4% ) and no room for breeding livestock in bam (25.4% ). Conclusion Forbidden depasturing livestock on the marshland with Oncomelania snails should be strengthened according to the local economic, nature environment, agriculture, residents'culture degree and agriculture habit.
