(0.05)).It was noted that the number of CD4~(+) T cells was less significantly throughout the 18 months after BMT in two groups. The time to reach 200 CD4~(+)cells/ ?l was 6 months, and that to reach normal number of CD4~(+)was 18 months.Median time to reach normal CD3~(+) CD8~(+) and CD19~(+) was 9-12 months, and there was no significant difference between two groups. Conclusions The incidence of severe lethal aGVHD and GVHD-related deaths tended to be less in patients with Basiliximab group than un-treated group in haploidentical BMT.It is useful to use Basiliximab to treat sever GVHD.CD4~(+) reconstitution appeared significantly delayed in two groups.CD4~(+) reconstitution is crucial to control post-transplant opportunistic infections and leukemia relapse.Nevertheless, there was no significant difference in immune reconstitution and the incidence of infection and relapse between the two groups.

Objective:To investigate the pathway of C.albicans-induced murine thymocyte apoptosis. Methods:The chages of TNF-? level in murine plasma and caspase-3 activity were measured by ELISA and flurorescence spectrophoto meter respectively;FCM measurement was adopted for the expression levels of related genes. Results:The level of TNF rise, the caspase-3 activity serengthen significantly and bax,p53 gene expression are upregulated. Conclusion:It is possible that C.albicans elicits apoptosis in murine thymocytes by upregulating bax and p53 gene expression as well as raising the serum TNF-? level to strenghen the activity of caspase-3.

Objective To investigate the relationship of T peak-T end (Tp-Te) interval and Tp-Te interval disper-sion (Tp-Ted) in different periods of myocardial ischemia in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and to assess the clinical significance of Tp-Te and Tp-Ted for prediction of the ventricular arrhythmia (VA). Methods A total of 80 pa-tients with AMI were enrolled in the study. The sizes and changes of Tp-Te and Tp-Ted were observed during the acute phase and recovery phase in patients. The differences of Tp-Te and Tp-Ted were compared between ventricular tachycardia group (A group), ventricular premature beats group (B group) and non- ventricular arrhythmia group (C group). Results The values of Tp-Te and Tp-Ted were obviously longer in acute period [(125.22±17.70) ms and (54.76±13.26) ms] than those in recovery period[ (113.84±17.37) ms and (42.06±13.95)ms] (P<0.01). The values of Tp-Te and Tp-Ted were signifi-cantly longer in A group[ (134.82±19.56) ms and (62.00±15.19) ms] than those in B [(122.94±15.09) ms and (54.09±10.56) ms ]and C group [(110.09±15.21) ms and (45.27±9.85) ms]. The values were higher in B group than those of C group. Con-clusion The Tp-Te interval and Tp-Ted prolongated in acute phase than those of recovery phase in patients with AMI. Tp-Te interval and Tp-Ted can be used as an important index to predict VA in patients with AMI.

OBJECTIVE To assess the clinical effectiveness of antibiotic combined therapy for febrile neutropenia as an empirical treatment.METHODS We analyzed bacterial epidemiology form Jan 2001 to Feb 2003 and performed a study in 202 neutropenic febrile patients after chemotherapy or(HSCT).Three groups were divided. In first group(84 cases) carbapenems and vancomycin were used.In second group(78 cases)and in third group(40(cases)) used cephalosporin or quinolone.RESULTS Carbapenems plus vancomycin were with response rate of 93%,and(without) vancomycin were only 66%.Cephalosporin or quinolone was with response rate only of 30%.(CONCLUSIONS) Strong antibiotic with vancomycin is effective for treating patients with neutropenia and fever(under) limited bacterial epidemiology.

Aliquat 336 functionalized chelating adsorbent derived from chitosan for enrichment and separation of Y(Ⅲ) were investigated by static adsorption method. The adsorption of Y(Ⅲ) was greatly influenced by the pH of solution, and reached maximum at 20 ℃ using 90 mg/L Y(Ⅲ) at pH 4. 9, and the adsorption of Y(Ⅲ) followed a pseudo-second-order kinetics model and the Langmuir isotherm model. The reduction of Y(Ⅲ) adsorption with the increasing of temperature meant that the adsorption process was exothermic. XPS analysis demonstrated that both cations and anions of the adsorbent were involved in adsorption process, thereby resulting in an improved adsorption of Y(Ⅲ). The adsorbent was thus efficient for enrichment and separation of rare earths from waste rare earth phosphor.

Gastric cancer ranks the third mortality of tumors around the world. The major influencing factors include genetic factors, ionizing radiation, chemical carcinogens, helicobacter pylori, environment and diet, leading to over-expression of oncogene and down-regulation of tumor-suppressor gene and resulting in abnormal proliferation of cancer cells even cancer. With the in-depth research, it has shown that the cancer stem cell plays an important role in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer, and it has indicated that the occurrence of gastric cancer may be associated with diseases related to stem cell. This paper reviews the characteristics, source, identification, separation methods, markers, and signal pathways of gastric cancer stem cells.
