1.Effects of tegaserod on spinal c-Fos expression in rats with visceral hypersensitivity after rectal distention

Objective To assess the effects of tegaserod on rat with visceral hypersensitivity. Methods Neonatal SD rats were randomized to receive colonic acetic acid irritation between postnatal days 8 and 21 as visceral hypersensitive model (Group H) or by saline intrarectally as control group (Group C). While rats were grown-up, rectal distention (RD) was performed by a balloon rapidly inflated with increasing volumes of saline (0.4, 0.8 and 1.2 ml) for 20 seconds at five-minute intervals. The 5 subgroups of Group H were injected randomly with saline, vehicle (1-methyl-2-thpyrrolidone) or tegaserod at doses of 0.1, 0.3 and 1 mg/kg i.p., respectively. The 2 subgroups of Group C were injected with saline or tegaserod at dose of 1 mg/kg i.p.. RD was performed 10 min after injection and abdominal withdrawal reflex (AWR) was recorded, and then c-Fos expression in spinal cord (L6-S1) was analyzed quantitatively by immunohistochemistry. Objective To observe the effect of the therapeutics of warming Yang and inducing diuresis with removing blood stasis and clearing away turbidness in retarding the course of chronic renal failure (CRF). Methods Sixty-five patients with CRF were randomly divided into the treated group (33 cases) and the control group (32 cases). Both groups were treated with low-protein diets,controlling hypertension and symptomatic treatment. And Chinese drugs for warming Yang and inducing diuresis with removing blood stasis and clearing away turbidness were given additionally to the treated group. The time (month) for doubling serum creatinine (SCr) level was taken to evaluate the speed of CRF progression. Results In the treated group,the time for SCr increased from (300.5?99.2) ?mol/L to (602.0?199.6) ?mol/L was (27.6?9.1) months,while in the control group,the time for SCr increased from (296.3?96.8) ?mol/L to (598.8?198.4) ?mol/L was (17.2?5.7) months. Objective To observe the effect of therapeutics of invigorating spleen and kidney, removing blood stasis and clearing away turbidness on lipid metabolism and renal function in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF). Methods Fifty-eight patients with CRF were randomly divided into the treated group (30 cases) and the control group (28 cases). Both groups were treated with low-protein diets, controlling hypertension and symptomatic treatment. And Chinese drugs for invigorating spleen and kidney, removing blood stasis and clearing away turbidness were given additionally to the treated group. The curative effect, renal function and lipid metabolism were observed after two months. Results TC, TG and APOB in the treated group lowered significantly, HDL-C and APOAⅠraised significantly after treatment (P0.05). Objective To investigate the accumulation of liver bile acids and bile acid regulated nuclear receptor farnesoid X (FXR) and its target gene cholesterol 7α hydroxylase (Cyp7α1) and small different dimer partner (SHP) in normal rats during pregnancy and lactation .Methods SD rats were maintained in the SPF‐grade facilities for time‐controlled mate .Livers were collect‐ed at Gestation Day (GD) 10 ,14 ,and 19 and Postnatal Day (PND) 1 ,7 ,14 and 21 d .Hepatic bile acids were quantified with a total bile acid assay kit ,and mRNA expression of FXR ,Cyp7α1 and SHP was determined by RT‐PCR .Western blot was used for Cyp7α1 protein quantification .Results In livers of normal rats ,bile acids was not elevated during pregnancy but was increased during lacta‐tion .The bile acid synthesis rate limiting enzyme Cyp7α1 increased during lactation but were normal during pregnancy .SHP was 6 fold higher at the late pregnancy ,and slightly higher during lactation .FXR was increased at postpartum .Conclusion Under normal circumstances ,hepatic bile acid synthesis during pregnancy was controlled by SHP feedback ,while during lactation ,hepatic bile acids increased ,along with increased Cyp7α1 and FXR .

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy and side effects of cyclopnosphamide, adriamycin, cisplatin (CAP) or CAP combined with verapamil(VPL) in chemotherapy of patients with advanced lung adenocarcinoma. Methods A total of 56 patients(male: 27, female: 29, average age: 48 years old, age range: 32-78 years old) with stage Ⅲb/Ⅳ lung adenocarcinoma confirmed pathologically from April 1998 to December 2001 were divided into two groups: group A(30 patients), treated with cyclophosphamide (CTX, 600 mg?m -2 ?d -1 ) on days 1 and 8, adriamycin (ADM, 40 mg/m 2) on day 1, and cisplatin (CDDP, 30 mg?m -2 ?d -1 ) on days 1, 2 and 3 and group B(26 patients), treated with the same dose of CTX, ADM and CDDP and an additional oral VPL treatment (60 mg t.i.d . on days 1-7). Objective: To develop a bar code method for the medical record management under the voluntarily established software of medical record management and retrieval system.Method: The software of medical record management system and bar code as well as the necessary processing,management and application system were established.Results: With the development of information technology and the bar code technology mature application,the bar code automatic diagnosis technology was applied to the medical record management process including recycling,cataloging,reorganization,arrangement,storage,pigeonhole,the top carriage,the bottom carriage,circulation and return,which could enhance the data acquisition and information processing speed,guarantee the accurate rate in the movement link,raise the hospital management level,and provide detailed,accurate and timely data for the hospital superintendent.Conclusion: The research on the software system of medical record management and the bar code application can enhance the hospital medical record utility and reduce the medical record administrative personnel's working pressure.The software of medical record management system and bar code are practical and effective in medical record management.
