1.Influence of empowerment education on self-management ability and self-efficacy of patients with coronary heart disease
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2013;29(25):62-66
Objective To evaluate the influence of empowerment education on self-management ability and self-efficacy of patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods 190 patients with CHD were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group. And all patients were trained respectively according to corresponding health education plan of each group by professional worker. These patients filled out the Essential Information Questionnaire (EIQ),Self-Efficacy Integration Scale (SEIS) and Coronary Artery Disease Self-management Scale(CSMS) at baseline,3 months and 6 months after health education. The clinical indexes in two groups such as body mass index, waistline, blood pressure, blood glucose and blood lipid were contrasted. Results The score of self-management ability and the score of self-efficacy in the experimental group was significantly more than that of the control group in 3 months and 6 months after health education, and this difference between two groups still persisted 6 months after health education. However, the score of symptom-maintaining in the SEIS and self-management of addiction, emergency, lifestyle and knowledge of diseases in the CSMS appeared to drop in the control group. Conclusions Empowerment education can significantly improve and increase the self-management ability and self-efficacy of patients with CHD,and this function of empowerment education was proved more enduring than that of traditional health education. So,empowerment education will be a new style of health education in the new model of clinical medicine instead of traditional health education.

Objective To investigate the changes and clinical significance of the plasma cytokines and endothelium function in patients with chronic pulmonary heart failure disease at high altitude area. Methods Plasma levels of tumor necrosisfactor-alpha(TNF-?),interleukin-6(IL-6),endothelin-1(ET-1) were measured in 278 chronic pulmonary heart patients with various degrees of heart failure and in 48 healthy controls.Left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),Right ventricular ejection fraction(RVEF) and Pulmonary(PASP) were examined with echocardiography. Results Plasma levels of TNF-?,IL-6,ET-1 were elevated in patients of functional classes Ⅱto Ⅳ as compared with age-matched control subjects and were progressively elvated with the decreasing functional status of the patients. The levels of TNF-?,IL-6,ET-1 respectively were positively correlated with PASP but negtively correlated with LVEF and RVEF(P

Tumor associate macrophages ( TAMs) play a significant role in the interaction of tumor inflam-mative microenvironment and tumor cells .TAMs originate from monocytic precursors ,recruiting into tumor tissue by colony stimulating factor ( CSF) .This review summarized that TAMs promote tumor progression and metastasis though angiogenesis ,lymphogenesis , immunosuppression , matrix remodeling and affecting cancer stem cells .The article pointed that targeting TAMs is a new strategy for future tumor therapy .

Objective To explore the relationship between angiogenesis and ischemic neurological deficit repair through exogenous interventions, and investigate optimal intervention routes for angiogenesis in cerebral ischemia rats. Methods Totally 240 SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group, ischemic control group, ischemia and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) group [1 653.3 ng/(g?d),i.p.,for 10 d],ischemia and endothelial progenitor cell transplantation(EPCs) group(2?1010/L,10 ?l),ischemia and anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody group [3 mg/(kg?d),i.p.,for 10 d].Cerebral microvessel density, somatosensory evoked potentials(SEP) and motor evoked potentials(MEP) and behavior were observed in 1,3,7,14,30 and 60 d after injury. Results New blood vessel density of ischemia and VEGF group, ischemia and EPCs group were significantly higher than ischemic control group in all time points besides 1 d after injury(P

Objective To explore the application of self-made guided wire operating-tray,which is designed for percutaneous tranluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA),in performing coronary intervention (PCI).Methods A total of 40 patients who were planned to receive PCI were randomly divided into the study group (n=20,using guided wire operating-tray) and the control group (n=20,using traditional method to operate guide wire).Under local anesthesia PCI was carried out in all patients of both groups. The frequency of guide wire winding, the degree of surgical sheet contamination within the operation area, and the comfort and convenience of operating guide wire were assessed, the results were compared between the two groups. Results The frequency of guide wire winding and the degree of surgical sheet contamination within operation area in the study group were remarkably lower than those in the control group (P<0.05).The comfort and convenience of operating guide wire in the study group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion In performing PCI,the use of self-made guided wire operating-tray can effectively avoid guide wire winding and reduce the degree of surgical sheet contamination within the operation area.

The authors tried to combine the theoretical learning with experimental and clinical teaching by adding teaching materials of public opinion,head-simulator,typical cases, clinical practice, examination of clinical operation skill, and make up with deficiency to some extend in current pattern of stomatology teaching. The results have showed that the pattern of experimental teaching not only raises the students'activity, consolidates their basic knowledge, develops their clinical thinking ability, but also increases their ability of clinical operational skill before clinical training.

There were some problems in the seven-year pediatric clinical Teaching of Learning on the job in the past.It is insufficient that the teaching mode and teaching form raised the clinical diathesis and competence of medical students.Aimed at these problems, countermeasures are proposed from the following aspects.First of all,let the students learn how to be on good behaviour.Using"students'simulation diagnose and treatment method" enables the students to assimilate the knowledge learned by themselves, use the evidence based medicine(EBM)to give directions to paediatric clinical practice,so as to make the clinical medicine change from the experience type to the science type.

Aim To investigate the effects of oleanolic acid on proliferation of SGC-7901/CDDP cells in vitro and its potential mechanisms. Methods Model of SGC-7901 cells resistant to cisplatin(SGC-7901/CDDP)was established in vitro.MTT assay was used to evaluate the viability of SGC-7901/CDDP cells in vitro.Real-time PCR was used to analyse the expression of Bcl-2 and Bax gene. Results MTT assay showed that oleanolic acid dramatically inhibited the proliferation of SGC-7901/CDDP cells in vitro, more than 62% SGC-7901/CDDP cells were inhibited when the cells were treated with 100 ?mol?L-1 oleanolic acid for 72 h;Real-time PCR showed that Bax(pro-apoptotic gene)was upregulated and Bcl-2(anti-apoptotic)was downregulated after being treated with oleanolic acid. Conclusions These results suggest that oleanolic acid inhibits proliferation of SGC-7901/CDDP cells in vitro, and its potential mechanisms may be through the upregulation of Bax and the downregulation of Bcl-2.

Objective To determine standard of Scutellaria baicalensis extract with fingerprint characteristic. Methods HPLC technique had been used to determine the content of eight flavones in S. baicalensis extract by HPLC. Results S. baicalensis extract had relative stability of fingerprint characteristic. The characterization method of fingerprint and analysis mothod were precise and rapid. Conclusion The standard of S. baicalensis extract with fingerprint characteristic has been obtained. It can be used to control the quality of S. baicalensis extract and it can support the component of Chinese materia medica.
