Objective To improve the recognition of the imaging appearances of inflammatory pseudotumors of the spleen (IPS), 3 cases with IPS were reported. Methods The US (n=3), CT (n=3) and MRI (n=1) findings of IPS were reviewed and correlated with the pathologic findings. Results On US, a well-defined solitary mass with heterogeneous echo texture was found in all 3 cases. A hyperechoic rim with associated acoustic shadowing was shown in 1 case. In all of the 3 cases in nonenhanced CT scanning, a well-defined hypoattenuated mass was found. One had a calcified egg-shell-like rim; On the venous/delayed phase of enhanced CT after contrast administration in 2 cases, slight/marked enhancement was shown. On nonenhanced MRI in 1 case, the mass was shown as heterogeneous hypointensity on T1- and T2- weighted images. Conclusion IPS should be included in the differented diagnosis of solitary mass lesion of spleen. The imaging findings depend on the variable proportions of fibrous and granulomatous components within the lesion. IPS was characterized by well-defined solitary mass on sonogram, delayed enhancement on enhanced CT, and hypointensity on T2 weighted MR images.

Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2021;44(6):481-486
Objective:To explore the relationship between human papilloma virus (HPV)-DNA and cytomegalovirus (CMV)-DNA virus content and the risk factors of endometrial cancer (EC) and their prediction models.Methods:Fifty-eight patients with EC from January 2017 to June 2020 in Suzhou Hospital Affiliated to Anhui Medical University were selected as the observation group, and 58 patients with endometrial hyperplasia (EH) during the same period were selected as the control group according to the 1∶1 matching case control principle. The clinical data, HPV-DNA, CMV-DNA positive rate and virus content of the two groups were compared, and the independent variables with P<0.05 were included in the Logistic regression model through single factor analysis. The risk factors of EC were analyzed, and the correlation between HPV-DNA, CMV-DNA and EC risk factors were evaluated. Logistic regression model was evaluated using the likelihood ratio chi-square and goodness-of-fit test, and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the predictive value of the model to EC. Results:The proportion of patients with age ≥ 55 years old, body mass index (BMI)≥ 24 kg/m 2, a history of hypertension and diabetes, malignant tumor family history and hormone replacement therapy history in the observation group were higher than those in the control group: 72.41%(42/58) vs. 39.66%(23/58),70.69% (41/58) vs. 43.10%(25/58), 36.21%(21/58) vs. 10.34%(6/58), 31.03%(18/58) vs. 8.62%(5/58),29.31%(17/58) vs. 5.17%(3/58), 27.93%(17/58) vs. 8.62%(5/58), and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). The positive rates of HPV and CMV, the contents of HPV-DNA and CMV-DNA in the observation group were higher than those in the control group: 62.07%(36/58) vs. 29.31%(17/58),81.03%(47/58) vs. 41.38%(24/58), (471.16 ± 33.58) copies/ml vs. (240.08 ± 17.41) copies/ml, (256.19 ± 24.77) copies/ml vs. (132.27 ± 13.20) copies/ml, the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). Age ≥ 55 years, BMI ≥ 24 kg/m 2, history of hypertension and diabetes, family history of malignant tumors, history of hormone replacement therapy, HPV positive, CMV positive were risk factors for EC ( P<0.05). HPV-DNA virus content was positively correlated with the age of EC patients, family history of malignant tumors, and history of diabetes ( P<0.05), the viral content of CMV-DNA was positively correlated with age, family history of malignant tumors, and history of hypertension ( P<0.05). According to the ROC curve drawn by the predicted value and the true value of the Logistic regression model, the area under the curve was 0.930 (95% CI 0.885 - 0.976), when the predictive probability of individual nosocomial infection>0.528, the prediction sensitivity was 84.48%, and the specificity was 89.66%. Conclusions:The occurrence of EC is related to many factors, and the content of HPV-DNA and CMV-DNA viruses are the risk factors of its occurrence. The overall predictive value of a Logistic regression model constructed based on EC pathological characteristics and the virus content of HPV-DNA and CMV-DNA is high, and it has clinical application prospects.

Objective To investigate the expression of PRR11 in bladder cancer tissues and its effect on proliferation and apoptosis of bladder cancer cell line T24. Methods The expression of PRR11 was detected using immunohistochemistry method in 57 specimens of bladder urothelial carcinoma and adjacent tissues. The correlations of PRR11 expression with the clinicopathological characteristics of patients with bladder urothelial carcinoma were analyzed. The mRNA and protein expression levels of PRR11 in human immortalized bladder epithelial cell lines SV-HUC-1 and human bladder cancer cell lines HTB-9, T24, J82 and UM-UC-3 were measured by qRT-PCR and Western blot. The gene expression of PRR11 in T24 cells was silenced by lentivirus shRNA. The mRNA expression level of PRR11 was detected by qRT-PCR. CCK-8 was used to detect cell proliferative activity. Cell clonality was detected by plate cloning assays. The rate of apoptosis was evaluated using flow cytometry. The protein expression levels of PRR11, Caspase-3, Bcl-2 and Bax were assessed by Western blot. Results PRR11 was highly expressed in bladder urothelial carcinoma, and its expression level was correlated with the pathological grade and T stage of the tumor. The mRNA and protein expression levels of PRR11 in HTB-9, T24, J82 and UM-UC-3 cells were higher than those in SV-HUC-1 cells (

Objective To investigate the incidence rate, onset time and electrophysiological characteristics of rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD) and the relationship between RBD and synucleinopathies as well as the electrophysiological diagnostic criteria of RBD in Parkinson' s disease (PD) and multiple system atrophy (MSA). Methods Sleep survey and night video-polysomnography (NPSG)were used to study sleep disturbance of PD and MSA. (1) Subjective sleep assessments: All subjects, including 66 PD patients, 65 age and sex matched healthy controls and 30 MSA patients, completed the sleep questionnaires, and the RBD incidence rate and onset time were got. (2) Objective sleep assessments: 8 PD patients, 13 MSA patients, and 15 age and sex matched healthy controls underwent video-NPSG recording on two consecutive nights. Sleep architect were analyzed. The NPSG characteristics of RBD accompany with PD and MSA were analyzed, and the electrophysiological diagnostic varameters of it were determined. Results Patients with PD or MSA had a higher prevalence of RBD. RBD was found in 59. 1% (39/66) PD patients and 86. 6% (26/30) MSA patients, among those, 46. 2% ( 18/39 ) and 84.6% (22/26) had the waking symptoms of MSA and PD. The main NPSG characteristics of RBD of PD or MSA were chin REM without atonia (RWA) and increased movement. Conclusions The relatively higher RBD prevalence in MSA and PD patients indicates that RBD has close relationship with PD and MSA.Part of patients with RBD preceding neurology disease indicates that RBD may be the early marker of PD and MSA. The main NPSG characteristics of RBD accompany with PD and MSA are chin RWA and the motor manifestations. RWA and phasic EMG activity density are supposed to be the NPSG diagnostic parameters.
