ObjectiveTo evaluate validity,reliability and sensitivity of Chinese version quality of life in epilepsy inventory for adolescents (QOLIE-AD-48).Methods 143 cases of young epilepsy patients were tested with QOLIE-AD-48 and analyze validity,reliability and sensitivity of the scale.ResultsPolymerization/discriminant validity showed that there was correlation above 0.4 about each question within the subscale and its component table.Structural validity showed that all of the component list was significantly associated with total score (P ＜ 0.01 ).The cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.92,and 0.62 ～ 0.90 of the subscale,and ICC was 0.81.Good sensitivity was the total score decline with the increase of seriousness.ConclusionChinese version QOLIEAD-48 has good validity and reliability and sensitivity.

Objective To study the effect of vitro thrombolytic test on the consumptions of urokinase(UK) in thrombolytic therapy of acute cerebral infarction.Methods The patients of acute cerebral infarction were treated with UK at the dose determined by vitro thrombolytic test,and then were given UK 40MU each day in the later 7 days.The degree of neurologic impairment,fibrinogen(Fbg) level,polyreaction speed(FMPV) and maximum luminosity(ODmax) were examined at different time point.Results Thrombolytic therapy could significantly reduce neurologic impairment as compared with control group((P

Aiming at the problem of high-quality image reconstruction from projection data at sparse angular views, we proposed an improved fast iterative reconstruction algorithm based on the minimization of selective image total variation (TV). The new reconstruction scheme consists of two components. Firstly, the algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) algorithm was adopted to reconstruct image that met the identity and non-negativity of projection data, and then, secondly, the selective TV minimization was used to modify the above image. Two phases were alternated until it met the convergence criteria. In order to further speed up the convergence of the algorithm, we applied a fast convergence technology in the iterative process. Experiments on simulated Shepp-Logan phantom were carried out. The results demonstrated that the new method not only improved image reconstruction quality and protected the edge of the image characteristics, but also improved the convergence speed of the iterative reconstruction significantly.

Objective To investigate the inhibitory effect of baicalein on mycoplasma pneumonia and its the protective mecha -nism in body , and to provide scientific experimental basis for prevention and treatment of mycoplasma pneumoniae infection .Methods The mycoplasma pneumoniae and baicalein treated BALB /c mice lung tissues were stained with hematoxylin eosin (HE), and his-topathological grading .Minimum inhibitory concentration ( MIC) of baicalein on mycoplasma pneumonia was determined by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction ( PCR) .The expression of P 1 adhesion molecules mRNA and protein in lung tissue of BALB /c mice was determined with reverse transcription-PCR and Western blot .The expression of epidermal growth factor ( EGF) mRNA and protein in lung tissue was detected by quantitative RT-PCR and immunofluorescence .Results Baicalein significantly reduced the my-coplasma treated mice's lung tissue pathological score .The minimal inhibitory concentration of baicalein was 32 μg/ml.Baicalein sig-nificantly downregulated P 1 gene transcription and protein translation , and upregulated EGF gene transcription and protein expression . Conclusions Baicalein shows significant resistance to mycoplasma pneumoniae , and can protect the body against mycoplasma damage by inhibiting the expression of P 1 protein and promoting the expression of EGF protein .

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect of psychological intervention based on pharmaceutical care on the communi-ty patients with essential hypertension. METHODS:172 patients with essential hypertension in a community health service certer in Nanjing Gulou area in 2013 were divided into control group(n=87)and intervention group(n=85)by simple random meth-od. Control group received conventional antihypertensive drugs and management,intervention group additionally received pharma-ceutical care and psychological intervention,it lasted 6 months. Blood pressure controlling,drug compliance,mastery of drug knowledge and health status in 2 groups before and after treatment were compared. RESULTS:Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)between 2 groups(P>0.05);af-ter treatment, SBP and DBP in 2 groups were lower than before,SBP and DBP in intervention group were lower than control group,the decrease degree of SBP and DBP was bigger than control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01). 1 month after the beginning of intervention,there was no significant difference in the proportion of drug compliance be-tween 2 groups (P>0.05);1 month after the end of the intervention,the proportion of drug compliance in intervention group was higher than 1 month after the beginning of intervention and control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference in mastery of drug knowledge between 2 groups (P>0.05);after treatment,the proportion of patients showed good and excellent mastery of drug knowledge was higher than before and control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Before treatment,there were no significant differences in scores of physical,mental,social health subscale and SRHMS between 2 groups(P>0.05);after treatment,scores of physical health subscale and SRHMS in control group,each subscale and to-tal scale scores in intervention group were higher than be-fore, and scores of mental, social health subscale and SRHMS in intervention group were higher than control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The psychological intervention based on pharmaceutical care can effectively promote the con-trol of blood pressure,improve drug compliance,mastery of drug knowledge,health status and mental situation,which is worth of popularizing and applying in community health services.

Magnesium stents have gained increasing interest as an ideal stent of future intervention. In order to study the deformation behavior of magnesium alloy stents in the interventional treatment, the finite element method was used to analysis the effects of different crimp and expansion dimensions on the mechanical properties (maximum stress, radial recoil rate, longitudinal shortening rate and radial strength). The results showed that crimping and expanding have a minimal influence on the stent radial strength. When the expansion size is same, the maximum equivalent stress and recoil rate decrease with the crimp size. When the crimp size is same, in contrast with the radial recoil rate, the maximum equivalent stress and longitudinal shortening rate increase with the expansion size. In addition the paper verified the radial strength-radial displacement curve obtained by FEM. Results are basically consistent, indicating the finite element method can efficiently provide researchers with reliable, high-quality design.

Objective To prospectively investigate the association between serum uric acid concentration and the risk of brain infarction in Chinese adults.Methods In this prospective cohort study,a total of 95 738 participants (aged 18-98 years old) were included and were categorized into sex-specific quintiles according to serum uric acid concentration which were collected during 2006-2007 by health examinations.The study was followed up for an average of 4 years.We used Cox regression models to calculate hazard ratios (HR) and their 95％ confidence intervals (CI).Results (1) Higher concentrations of serum uric acid were associated with older age,obesity,higher blood pressure,higher serum concentrations of total cholesterol,triglycerides,and high sensitivity C-reactive protein,smoking,alcohol drinking,history of hypertension,hyperlipidemia and atrial fibrillation,and antihypertensive medication use.(2) The incidence of brain infarction for sex-specific quintiles were 0.84％ (33/3913),0.35％ (14/3985),0.44％(17/3888),0.54％ (21/3909),0.91％ (35/3860) in women (x2 =15.676,P =0.003) and 1.18％(180/15 238),1.26％ (191/15 170),1.11％ (170/15 323),1.45％ (221/15 216),1.82％ (277/15 236)in men (x2 =36.641,P =0.000).(3) After adjusting for potential confounders,including age,body mass index,blood pressure,fasting plasma glucose,total cholesterol,triglyceride,smoking,alcohol,and medical history of major chronic conditions and antihypertensive medication use,the HR (95％ CI) of brain infarction across serum uric acid quintiles were 2.06 (1.14-3.72),0.91 (0.45-1.84),1.00 (ref),1.11 (0.58-2.09),1.31(0.73-2.34) in women and 1.07 (0.86-1.34),1.02 (0.47-2.25),1.00 (ref),1.23(1.00-1.52),1.24(1.01-1.52) in men.Conclusions In this prospective cohort study,we find a U-shaped relationship between serum uric acid concentrations and brain infarction,a higher risk of developing brain infarction in association with low or high serum uric acid concentrations.Women with lowest or highest serum uric acid concentrations and men with higher serum uric acid concentrations are more likely to develop brain infarction.This probably because women have lower serum uric acid concentrations relative to men.Confirmation of our findings in larger cohorts with longer follow-up duration is warranted.

Objective To investigate the changes of plasma thrombomodulin (TM),tissue factor (TF),tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI),P-selectin (P sel),von Willebrand factor (vWF) and D-dimer (D-D) levels in patients with hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) and its clinical significance.Methods Twenty-three cases of HFRS were divided into two groups according to the severity of disease (12 cases in mild group and 11 cases in severe group),and 20 healthy individuals served as control group.Blood samples were collected at every stage of the disease.Plasma TM,TF,TFPI,P-sel and vWF were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA); plasma D-D was detected by nanoparticles enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay; creatine kinase MB isoenzyme (CKMB) was tested by immunosuppression assay; blood clotting time was recorded for blood coagulation functions; blood urea nitrogen (BUN),creatinine (Cr),alanine aminotransferase (ALT),aspartate aminotransferase (AST),and platelets (PLT) were also routinely tested.The comparison between groups was done by analysis of variance and two sided t test.Results During the acute phase of HFRS,the plasma levels of TM,TF,P-sel,vWF and D-D were significantly increased,activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) was prolonged,international normalized ratio (INR) was elevated,while fibrinogen (Fn) and PLT were decreased markedly as compared to control group.In febrile phase,there were significant differences between severe group and mild group in plasma TM [(1.78±1.00) μmol/L vs (1.33±0.35) μmol/L,t=2.600,P＜0.01],TF [(36.63±8.48) ng/L vs (32.93±10.61) ng/L,t=3.423,P＜0.01],vWF [(327.1±57.2) μg/L vs (260.3±63.2) μg/L,t=2.257,P＜0.01],APTT [(63.9±20.5) s vs (48.7±18.6) s,t=4.920,P＜0.01],and INRlevels(1.8±0.6 vs 1.5±0.4,t=2.276 P＜0.05).The variation curves of TM,P sel,APTT,INR and D-D were similar to those of BUN and ALT,but contrary to PLT count.Conclusions There are significantly elevated plasma levels of TM,vWF,P sel and D-D,prolonged APTT,increased INR,and much decreased plasma Fn and PLT in the acute phase of HFRS,suggesting the presence of extensive capillary injuries and activation of platelet and coagulation system,which is closely associated with kidney,liver and cardiac muscle damage.Hence,it is essential to use antiviral agents,anticoagulants and fluid resuscitation in the early stage of the disease.

Objective To investigate the awareness rate of knowledge related with vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) in community residents in Shuangjing District,Beijing.Methods 5 communities were randomly selected from 12 communities in Shuangjing District.According to roster,512 residents were selected randomly.Among them,there were 197 males and 315 females with an average age of (64.71±8.22) years.87.9％ of subjects had junior high school culture and over.The awareness rate of knowledge related with VCI was investigated by questionnaires from January 2013 to March 2013.Results Although the awareness rate of knowledge related with vascular dementia was only 36.9％,the awareness rates of symptoms of impairment in memory,orientation,language,execution,calculation,visuospatial and judgement were 43.8％-89.3％.The awareness rates of four outpatient clinics among dementia patients were 21.5％-38.9％,however,the awareness rate of dementia which was not curable was 47.5％.The awareness rates of 5 risk factors for stroke were 54.5％-83.4％,but the awareness rate of cognition impairment caused by hypotension and hypoglycemia was 42.8％ and 43.2％,respectively.About VCI-related preventive knowledge,the awareness rates of VCI population with high risk factors,cognitive abilities screening,and primary prevention were 35.5％-95.5 ％.The main routes taking healthy knowledge were the television and newspapers with the awareness rate of 86.9％ and 60.2％,respectively.85.9％ of subjects agreed that healthy education was helpful to their life qualities.Multiple linear regression analysis showed a significant relationship of accumulated points of VCI-related knowledge with gender and education degree (P＜0.05).Conclusions The awareness rates of risk factors,diagnosis and therapy and primary prevention for VCI are lower in Shuangjing community,and the health education about VCI should be strengthened.

Objective To investigate the distribution characteristics of serum pepsinogen (PG) in healthy people and its reference interval establishment .Methods 3 753 healthy people were enrolled and divided into <45-year old ,45- <60-year old and ≥60-year old group according to their ages .Double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect PG Ⅰ ,Ⅱ . Results Detection results of serum PG Ⅰ ,PGⅡ and PGⅠ /PGⅡ of male and female healthy people in different age group showed a skewed distribution(P<0 .05) .Serum PGⅠ and PGⅠ /PGⅡlevels of females were significantly higher than males(P<0 .01) .In the same age group ,difference of serum PGⅡ levels between males and females was not statistically significant (P>0 .05) .In the same gender ,pairwise comparison of PGⅠlevels was conducted in different age groups ,and the difference showed no statistical sig-nificance(P>0 .05) .PGⅡlevel increased with age increasing (P<0 .01) while PGⅠ /PGⅡlevel increased with age reducing (P<0 .05) .Percentile method was adopted to determine the 95% reference interval ,the bilateral reference intervals (P2 .5 - P97 .5 ) was taken for PGⅠ ,unilateral upper limit(≤ P95 ) for PGⅡ and unilateral limit (≥ P5 ) for PGⅠ /PGⅡ .Conclusion The establishment of serum PG Ⅰ ,PG Ⅱ ,PG Ⅰ /PG Ⅱ reference intervals of healthy people provides a basis for the prevention and treatment for stomach disease .
