Objective To observe the clinical effect and investigate the mechanisms of Yikun Oral Liquid in treating climacteric syndrome due to yin deficiency of liver and kidney. Objective To explore the association between the lung function and the related electroneurophysiological parameters in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods Fifty COPD patients were studied. The lung function and the phrenic motor nerve conduction (PNC) were examined, respectively. Thirty cases of non respiratory disorders served as control. The lung function tests included maximal voluntary ventilation (MVV%), forced vital capacity (FVC), force expiratory volume (FEV 1) and RV/TLC% (residual volume, RV; total lung capacity, TLC). The phrenic nerve was stimulated electrically at the midpoint of the posterior border of the sternomastoid muscle, and the diaphragmatic compound muscle action potential (dCMAP) was recorded between the 7th and 8th intercostal space and xiphoid process. Results The relative values of MVV%, FVC 1/FVC 1% and RV/TLC% were 49.6?18.8, 62.5?16.4 and 54.1?8.0, respectively, which was significantly lower than that expected. There was no significant difference with regard to the PNC latency between the patients and the controls. The dCMAP amplitude ratio in the COPD patients was significantly lower than that of the controls, i.e., the dCMAP amplitude decreased in the COPD patients. Conclusion The decreased dCMAP might be associated with abnormal lung function. The PNC examination would provide valuable information for the evaluation of diaphragmatic dysfunction in those with abnormal lung function.

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of polysaccharide iron combined with folic acid in treatment of anemia in gestation women and its effect on neonatal outcomes.Methods 82 cases of pregnant women with iron deficiency anemia were selected and randomly divided into two groups, each had 41 cases.All patients received discontinuation of iron supplementation two weeks pre-treatment, control group received compound ferrous sulfate and folic Acid Tablets (4 tablets, tid), the treatment group received with Iron Polysaccharide Complex Capsules (0.15 g~0.30 g, qd) and Folic Acid Tablets (0.4 m, qd) .Levels of serum Hb, SF and SI between two groups were compared, and the pregnancy outcomes, neonatal outcomes, and effect and safety were observed.Results Compared with pre-treatment, levels of RBC, HCT and Ret, levels of Hb, SF and SI in two groups were all increased (P<0.05),and those indexes in treatment group were higher than control group (P<0.05).Compared with control group, birth outcomes in cesarean section, the rate of postpartum hemorrhage and neonatal distress rate in treatment group were lower (P<0.05), scores of neonatal muscle tension, pulse, respiration, skin frowning were higher ( P <0.05 ), the total efficiency and safety were higher ( P <0.05 ). Conclusion Polysaccharide iron combined with folic acid in treatment of anemia in gestation women was accurate , it can significantly improve the neonatal outcomes.

Bm04862 is a novel hemocyte-specific gene, which has been identified and cloned through the microarray data in silkworm, Bombyx mori. Initially, we successfully obtained the full-length cDNA sequence of Bm04862 via the rapid amplification of cDNA ends (RACE). The sequence consists of an open reading frame (ORF) with 819 bp, which could encode 273 amino acid residues. The bioinformatics analysis predicted that Bm04862 was a transmembrane protein. Furthermore, qRT-PCR analysis revealed that the expression of Bm04862 was specifically detected in hemocyte and reached a peak at L4M and PP2 stage. Bm04862 was overexpressed in Sf9 insect cells, and the cellular localization indicated that Bm04862 was specifically located in cytoplasm and nuclei membrane. Interestingly, the expression of Bm04862 increas'd dramatically after challenged with Escherichia coli for 24 hours, which predicted its potential role in the innate immune system. Overall, this study could provide the fundamental knowledge for further research.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of 1H magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H-MRS) in mammary tumors and to discuss the technique factors which influence the detection rate.Methods The 1H-MRS features of 47 mammary tumors, of which 24 malignant tumors and 23 benign tumors confirmed by pathology were analyzed. All of the tumors were detected before Gd-DTPA enhancement. Results Eleven of 24 malignant tumors showed increased choline resonance peak at 3.24 ppm while 4 of 23 benign ones at 3.24 ppm .The positive value were 45.8% and 17.4% respectively. The sensitivity and specificity were 45.8% and 82.6% respectively by using 1H-MRS to discriminate benign from malignant tumors. The main factors influencing the detection rate were low suppressed lipid, low suppressed water and low single-noise rate.Conclusion Choline is not special features of malignant tumors. Choline can be obtained despite the nature of tumor if they grow rapidly. The low sensitivity of choline to be detected mainly dues to technique factors.

BACKGROUND: After local injection of Botulinum toxin type-A (BoTX-A), not only the function of the neuromuscular conjunction was affected, but also the changes occurred remote from the injected site. F-waves result from the back fire of the motoneuron activation, which may indirectly reflect the functional state of the motoneurons.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the remote effect of local BoTX-A injection by F-wave test.DESIGN: Self-control study based on patients with movement disorders.SETTING: Neruologic clinic in a university hospital.PARTICIPANTS: Twenty-six patients with movement disorders not received previous local BoTX-A were selected from Neurological Clinic in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University between September 2002 and July 2003, including 19 cases with hemificiospasm, 5 Meige syndrome and 2 torticollis spasmodicus.INTERVENTIONS: F- and M-waves of ulnar and tibial nerves were recorded before 1, 12 - 24 weeks after local injection of BoTX-A in 26 patients.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: The following parameters were analyzed:latency(ML) and amplitude (Mamp) of M-wave, minimal (Fmin) and average latency (Fave), amplitude of negative peak(Famp), duration (Fdur), persistence (Fpcr) and chronodispersion (Fchr) of F-wave.RESULTS: No definite F-response of ulnar nerve stimulation was obtained 1 week after injection in 3 HFS patients (5 nerves) . Fave prolonged significantly on ulnar and tibal nerve and Fdur increased significantly on ulnar nerve 1 week after injection, but there was no significant difference 12 - 24 weeks later, compared with before injection. No significant correlation of the altered F-wave parameters was found with the dosage of BoTX-A.CONCLUSION: Fdur and Fave could sensitively assess the remote effect,which correlates with distance away from the injected muscle, rather than the dosage of BoTX-A.

Objective To explore the operative cooperation of the intra-extra cranial bypass operation of the intracranial giant aneurysms. Methods A retrospective analysis of 7 patients who had intracranial giant aneurysm and received the intra-extra cranial bypass operation from October 2014 to June 2016. All preoperative and intraoperative nursing points of operative cooperation were analyzed. Results The post-operative digital subtraction angiographies of 7 patients without any perioperative nursing complications showed enough flow in the bypass arteries. Conclusions Operative multi-incision managing, positive temperature intervening, special instruments using and thrombosis preventing play very important roles in the nursing points of the successful operative cooperation.
