The protective effects of in vitro cultivated calculus bovis (ICCB) on the cerebral and myocardial cells in hypoxic mice and the mechanism were examined. In one group, mice were intra-gastrically (i.g.) given ICCB for 15 days and then they were subjected to acute cerebral ischemia by decapitation, and then the panting time was recorded. In the other group, 12 min after exposure to hypoxia, mice was administered the ICCB i.g. for 5 days, and then the blood serum and tissues of brain, heart, liver were harvested and examined for SOD, GSH-px and T-AOC activity and content of MDA. The tissues of brain and heart were observed electron-microscopically for ultrastructural changes. The corpus striatum and hippocampus of brain were collected and examined for content of dopamine (DA) and norepinephrine (NE). The ultrastrural examination showed that the pathological change in brain and heart in the ICCB group was very slight, while abnormal changes in the control group were obviously more serious. ICCB significantly prolonged the panting time of the hypoxic mice (P<0.001), increased the activity of SOD, GSH-px, T-AOC in serum and tissues of brain, liver, heart and elevated the content of DA and NE. ICCB also pronouncedly reduced content of MDA in serum and tissues of brain, heart and liver. Significant differences in these parameters were noted between ICCB group and controls. It is concluded that ICCB can exert protective effect on the cells of brain and myocardium by enhancing the tolerance of the tissues to hypoxia and the body's ability to remove free radicals and regulating the neurotransmitters.

Objective:To systematically evaluate the disease experience of patients with gestational hypertension, provide targeted care support for patients with gestational hypertension and promote their physical and mental health. Methods:This study is a Meta-synthesis. Qualitative studies on the experience of hypertensive patients during pregnancy were searched through PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Database, VIP and China Biology Medicine disc. The retrieval time limit was from the establishment of the databases to May 8, 2022. The quality of the studies were evaluated using the quality evaluation criteria for qualitative research of the Australian Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence-Based Health Care Center, and the results were integrated by the pooled integration method. Results:A total of 13 studies were included, 55 complete research results were extracted, 9 new categories were summarized and 3 integrated results were synthesized. Integration result 1 was the physical, psychological and behavioral changes that occurred in patients with gestational hypertension after diagnosis of the disease. Integration result 2 was that patients with gestational hypertension had coping deficits and hoped to receive support from multiple sources. Integration result 3 was the current and future challenges for patients with gestational hypertension. Conclusions:Gestational hypertension will bring many impacts to the patients, which needs support from many aspects. There are many challenges for disease management in the future. Medical staff should fully understand the experience of patients with gestational hypertension, give guidance and support to the most authentic feelings and experiences of the patients and encourage them to actively deal with the disease. At the same time, an effective and comprehensive support system should be built to help them better manage the disease.

Objectives To observe the effect of low intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) on osteocyte injuries induced by the tricalcium phosphate(TCP) wear particles in the calvaria of mice. Methods Thirty ICR male mice of 6 to 8 weeks were randomly divided into a normal control group(n=10),a model group (n=10) and a LIPUS-treated group(n=10).A murine calvarial model of osteolysis was established in the model and LIPUS-treated groups through injecting TCP particles onto the surface of bilateral parietal bones at week 1,3,5,7 and 11.Mice in the normal group received negative ultrasound probe pressing, while those in the LIPUS-treated received LIPUS radiation.Three months later, the calvarias were obtained. The micro-CT,HE staining, flow cytometry and Western blotting were performed to estimate the calvarial osteolysis, osteocyte death, apoptosis and proteins expression of the dentin matrix protein 1 (DMP-1),sclerosis protein (SOST),glucose-regulated protein78 (GRP78),inositol-requiring enzyme(IRE 1 α),spliced X-box binding protein 1 (XBP1 s),c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) and phosphorylated c-Jun N-terminal kinase(p-JNK) respectively. Results Compared with the normal control group,in the model group the viability of prosthetic osteocytes decreased significantly, and cell apoptosis was more obvious(P<0.05);the osteocytic marker protein DMP-1 down-regulated significantly, but another marker protein SOST up-regulated significantly, which caused the decline in DMP-1/SOST(P<0.05).Moreover,the expression levels of GRP78,IRE1,XBPls and p-JNK of the model group increased significantly(P<0.05) in the calvaria osteocytes compared to the control group. However,in the LIPUS treatment group, osteocyte injuries and endoplasmic reticulum(ER) stress both decreased significantly, shown by a significant increase in the number and activity of osteocytes,DMP-1/SOST,and significant inhibition of the IRE1α-XBP1-JNK activation(P<0.05).Conclusion LIPUS prevents osteocyte injuries induced by TCP wear particles in the calvaria of mice, which may be due to the inhibition of IRE1α-XBP1-JNK pathway activation through ER stress reaction.

Objective:To systematically integrate qualitative research on the decision-making experience of fertility preservation in cancer patients of childbearing age, so as to provide evidence-based basis for improving patients' fertility preservation decision-making ability and formulating targeted intervention plans. Methods:Qualitative research on the decision-making experience of fertility preservation in cancer patients of childbearing age was systematically searched on PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) , Wanfang Database, VIP and China Biology Medicine disc. The search period was from database establishment to December 2, 2022. The quality of literature was evaluated using the quality evaluation criteria for qualitative research of the Australia Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence-Based Health Care Center. The results were integrated using the Meta-synthesis method. Results:A total of 11 articles were included, 28 results were extracted, summarized into 6 categories, and formed 3 integrated results. The integration results included the challenges and opportunities faced by fertility preservation decision-making, fertility preservation decision-making was influenced by individual, family and social factors, and lack of sufficient decision-making support. Conclusions:Cancer patients of childbearing age lack decision-making support for fertility preservation and face decision-making difficulties. Medical and nursing staff should comprehensively evaluate the fertility needs of cancer patients of childbearing age, pay attention to their cognition and experience, provide professional fertility counseling, and help patients make high-quality decision-making.
