Objective To Analyze the distribution characteristics of Hyperthyroidism's syndrome and the relationship between symptoms and thyroid hormones. Methods The TCM syndromes of a total of 78 patients with hyperthyroidism were differentiated. The relationship between syndrome and general condition of patients (gender and age, etc.) were analyzed;correlation between symptoms and thyroid hormones were also studied. Results Of all 78 patients, patients with yin deficiency and hyperactive yang accounted for 43.6%; patients with internal disturbance of phlegm-fire accounted for 30.8 %; and patients with hypteracitivity of heart-fire and liver-fire accounted for 25.6%. The severity of all the symptoms showed positive correlation with hyroid hormones (the value of r is positive, P＜0.05); and no linear relationship with TSH (P＞0.05).Conclusion The syndrome of yin deficiency and hyperactive yangI was the most common syndrome type. Thyroid hormones had direct proportion with the severity of syndrome.

Objective: To explore the cognitive function of chronic schizophrenic patients with tardive dyskinesia(TD).Methods: 82 chronic schizophrenic patients with TD,70 chronic schizophrenic patients without TD were accepted 3 neuropsychological tests including WMS,WCST and TMT.Results: Compared with non-TD group in WCST,TD group had poorer performance in the number of error responses,the selective error rate,error thinking time,the number of perservation of responses and the rate of conceptualization responses.Additionally,TD group had poorer performance in TMT-PartB.Conclusion: Chronic schizophrenic patients with TD had significantly cognitive impairment,involving the frontal cortex.

Objective:To discuss the variation of parameters in ambulatory blood pressure for neurally mediated syncope(NMS) in children,and to analyze the diagnostic value of ambulatory blood pressure pattern in children with NMS.Methods: Forty-seven children with NMS [20 males and 27 females,mean age(11.7?2.8) years] who came from Peking University First Hospital from July,2007 to March,2008 were included in the study.Twenty-three healthy children [12 males and 11 females,mean age(11.0?3.2) years] were recruited as control group.And the hemodynamic patterns of NMS were detected.Based on the hemodynamic patterns,they were divided into vasovagal syncope(VVS) group [16 children in total,7 males and 9 females,mean age(11.5?2.8) years] and postural tachycardia syndrome(POTS) group [31 children in total,13 males and 18 females,mean age(11.7?2.9) years].Parameters of children with different hemodynamic patterns in ambulatory blood pressure and diagnostic value of ambulatory blood pressure pattern were analyzed.SPSS 10.0 software was used for the statistical analysis of these data.Results: Mean diastolic pressure of the whole day,mean diastolic pressure in the day-time and mean systolic pressure at night in POTS group were higher than those of the control group,reapectively(P0.05).The systolic pressure differences in the day-time and at night in VVS group and POTS group were lower than those of the control group,respectively(P0.05).The non-spoon pattern rate of fluctuation curve of ambulatory blood pressure in VVS group and POTS group was higher than that of the control group(68.8% vs 17.4%,64.5% vs 17.4%,P0.05).The sensitivity,specificity and diagnostic coincidence of ambulatory blood pressure pattern to NMS was 66.0%,82.6% and 71.4%,respectively.Conclusion: There was autonomic nerve adjustment imbalance in children with NMS.And the diagnostic value of ambulatory blood pressure pattern to children with NMS was high.

OBJECTIVETo observe the impact of electroacupuncture (EA) on the quality of life in the patients of female mixed urinary incontinence (MUI) and evaluate its clinical efficacy.

METHODSEA was adopted in 25 cases of MUI at Zhongliao (BL 33) and Huiyang (BL 35), needle retaining for 30 min each time. The treatment was given once every two days, three treatments a week, totally for 12 weeks of treatment. The incontinence quality of life questionnaire (I-QOL), the incontinence impact questionnaire-7 (IIQ-7), the urogenital distress inventory short form (UDI-SF) and the visual analogue scale (VAS) were adopted in the comparison before and after treatment. The efficacy was evaluated.

RESULTSThe curative rate was 52.0% (13/25) and the total effective rate was 96.0% (24/25) in 25 cases. In comparison before and after treatment, in I-QOL, the score of limiting behaviors was increased up to (30.32 ± 3.39) from (11.52 ± 2.45), the score of psychosocial impacts was up to (36.48 ± 2.90) from (13.52 ± 2.25) and the score of social isolation was up to (21.52 ± 1.61) from (9.84 ± 2.23). The score of IIQ-7 was decreased, down to (2.48 ± 1.36) from (11.96 ± 3.45), the score of UDI-SF was down to (2.92 ± 0.95) from (8.84 ± 2.58) and VAS score was down to (1.40 ± 0.91) from (6.96 ± 1.65). The differences were all significant statistically in comparison (all P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONEA improves effectively the quality of life in MUI patients and the clinical efficacy is apparent.

OBJECTIVETo verify the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) for female stress urinary incontinence (SU).

METHODSForty-two patients were randomly divided into an observation group(20 cases) and a control group (22 cases). EA at Zhongliao (BL 33) and Huiyang (BL 35) was used in the observation group. Sham acupuncture at non meridian points, one can beside Zhongliao (BL 33) and Huiyang (BL 35), was applied, and placebo EA was adopted in the control group. Treatment with needle retained for 30 min a time was given once every other day and three times a week for continuous six weeks in the two groups. Urinary and reproductive simple score (UDI),visual analogue scale (VAS) and the frequency of nocturnal enuresis were observed before treatment, at the second, forth and sixth week of treatment in the two groups, and the efficacy was compared.

RESULTSThe effective rates of the observation group were 80.0% (16/20), 95.0% (19/20) and 95.0% (19/20), which were better than 40.9% (9/22), 31.8% (7/22) and 27.3% (6/22) of the control group at the second, forth and sixth week of treatment. The differences were statistically significant between the two groups (all P < 0.05). After treatment in the observation group, the results of UDI, VAS and frequency of nocturnal enuresis were improved compared with those before treatment (all P < 0.05). Along with treatment, all indices were gradually improved, and the change at the sixth week was the most obvious in observation group. The results of the observation group were better than those of the control group at all times (all P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONEA achieves obvious effect for female SUI, and effectively improves the lower urinary trace symptoms, the degree of urinary incontinence and the frequency of nocturnal enuresis. The effect becomes increasingly better along with treatment within six weeks.

Objective To investigate the expression of CyelinD1 protein in nephroblastoma.Methods The tissue microarray were made in 28 cases of nephroblastoma and 19 cases of renal tissue adjacent to tumor.The expression of CyclinD1 and p53 proteins were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results The positive rate of the expression of CyclinD1 and p53 protein was significantly different between nephroblastoma and renal tissue adjacent to tumor (P < 0.05).The positive rate of the expression of CyclinD1 and p53 protein was significantly different in different degree of differentiation of nephroblastoma (P < 0.05).The expression of CyclinD1 and p53 protein was positively correlated (P < 0.05).Conclusions The CyclinD1 and p53 might be used as the marks for estimating the degree of differentiation of nephroblastoma.The over-expression of CyclinD1 and the mutation of p53 might play the vital role in nephroblastoma.

This article summarized perioperative nursing experience of 6 patients underwent percutaneous microwave or radiofrequency ablation liver partition and portal vein embolization for planned hepatectomy(PALPP).The key points of nursing included:psychological counseling applied throughout the perioperative treatment;personalized preoperative biliary drainage;nursing intervention targeting at Enhanced Recovery After Surgery(ERAS);complication-directed prevention and nursing after microwave or radiofrequency ablation,portal vein embolization,and radical hepatectomy.All 6 patients were recovered and discharged successfully.

Cultivation of academic type of medical graduate students is an important part of medical education system in our country and the individualized cultivation is an important way of training.Frist,the individualized cultivation of academic type of medical graduate students requires that supervisors fully understand the characteristics of the graduate students based on supervisors' subjective feelings and the result of scientific research test of the students.and then divide the students into three types(type A,B and C).With reference to the PDCA cycle management model,the supervisors carry out the individualized cultivation for different types of students in various links of the PDCA cycle,in order to encourage excellent students,urge the average students,and help the students who are behind.From the result of the individualized cultivation of academic type of medical graduate students in single research team,the proportion of students type rose from 2.9％ (type A),65.7％ (type B) and 31.4％(type C) at the beginning to 23.5％(type A),68.6％(type B) and 7.9％(type C) at the time of graduation.The research output is huge,so as to promote the quality of cultivation of academic type of medical graduate students.

Objective To investigate the effects of endogenous sulfur dioxide(SO2) on pulmonary vascular inflammation in rats with monocrotaline (MCT)-induced pulmonary hypertension.Methods Thirty-two Wistar rats were randomly divided into 4 groups(n =8 for each group):control group,MCT group,MCT + L-aspartic acid-β-hydroxamate(HDX) group,and MCT + SO2 group.Rats in the MCT group,MCT + HDX group,and MCT + SO2 group were subcutaneously injected with MCT(60 mg/kg) on the first day.For rats in MCT + HDX group,HDX(25 mg/kg,on day 0,7 and 14) was given orally after injection of MCT; and rats in MCT + SO2 group were subcutaneously injected with the SO2 donor sodium sulfite/sodium bisulfate(Na2SO3/NaHSO3,and mole ratio was adjusted to approximately 3:1) each day.Rats in the control group received only the same volume of solvent vehicle only.After 3 weeks,mean pulmonary artery pressure(mPAP) of each rat was evaluated by using a right cardiac catheterization procedure.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of inflammatory related factor intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and the key molecules of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) signal transduction pathway,including p65 and inhibitor of NF-κB (IκBα) in the small pulmonary artery endothelial cells.Results The differences in mPAP,expression of ICAM-1,IκBα and p65 in the small pulmonary artery endothelial cells were found among the 4 groups (mPAP:F =53.334,P ＜ 0.01 ; ICAM-1:F =183.82,P ＜ 0.01 ; IκBα:F =142.89,P ＜ 0.01 ; p65:F =105.46,P ＜0.01).The mean pulmonary artery pressure(mPAP) was significantly raised in MCT group rats as compared with that of the control group along with upregulated expressions of ICAM-1 protein and p65 protein in small pulmonary artery endothelial cells,while the expression of IκBα protein in small pulmonary artery endothelial cells was significantly low.After administration of HDX,the mPAP and the expression of ICAM-1 protein and p65 protein in small pulmonary artery endothelial cells further increased compared with those of MCT group,while the expression of IκBα protein in small pulmonary artery endothelial cells was significantly lower than that of MCT group.Whereas with treatment of SO2 derivatives,the mPAP,the expression of ICAM-1 protein and p65 protein in small pulmonary artery endothelial cells were significantly lower than those of MCT group,while the expression of IκBα protein in small pulmonary artery endothelial cells increased significantly compared with that of MCT group.Conclusions Endogenous SO2 might inhibit the activation of NF-κB pathway in the small pulmonary artery endothelial cells,attenuate the pulmonary vascular inflammation and prevent the MCT-induced pulmonary hypertension in rats.

OBJECTIVE: To screen and analyze items of the second-generation sub-health questionnaire through various item analysis methods, so as to provide basic data for the further study of sub-health measuring scale. METHODS: The investigation and analysis was completed in Southem Medical University between November 2006 and May 2008. A total of 6 000 college students were selected as the investigation targets with cluster sampling method from a medical university in Guangzhou. 6 000 questionnaires were assigned to them in which the answerer was asked about their somatic symptoms, psychological symptoms and social symptoms, with 5 599 valid ones obtained. Eighty three items were analyzed through five methods based on dispersion, correlation coefficient, factor analysis, t-test and Cronbach's g. RESULTS: At last, 63 items were selected to constitute the item pool of the sub-health scale, which were nominated over 4 times according to the nomination summary of the 5 methods.CONCLUSION: All the 63 items kept in the second-generation sub-health questionnaire feature satisfactory sensibility, representation, independence, significance and intemal consistency, which can accordingly lay a good foundation for the further study of the sub-health measuring scale.
