Objective: To establish the detemination method of bismuth subcarbonate in Weishu Powder. Methods: The samples were ignited, then bismuth subcarbonate in residue was determined by compleximetry. Results: The average recovery was 99.36?0.14%(n=9). Conclusion: This method can be used in quality control of Weishu Powder preparation.
2.Circuit Design of Signal-collecting System for On-line Water Electrical Conductivity

Objective In order to eliminate the influences caused by temperature and electrode-polarization, a new circuit of measuring electrical conductivity of water is designed by AT89S52 single-chip. Methods The system adopts the bi-directional pulsed voltage as its exciting source and the DS18B20 sensor as temperature compensation circuit component. Results Three functions which include auto-control, signal-collecting and display are realized by using C51 high-level language to write the modularization program. The precision of system is improved by an auto-temperature compensation way to avoid the blindness of temperature coefficient. Conclusion The system has such advantages as high accuracy and simple operation. Through further fulfilling, it can accord with user applying.
3.Influence of Rhubarb on Renal Expression of Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-1 and Vascular Cell Adhesion Molecule-1 in Diabetes Mellitus Rats

Objective To explore the influence of DaHuang on renal expression of intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) in diabetes mellitus rats. Methods After the DM rat model was made, 24 DM rats were selected randomly and divided into a model group (12 DM rats) and a Rhubarb group group were given pure water in equal amount every day. 8 weeks later, kidney was cut to make pathological slice and method of SP immunohistochemistry was adopted for staining. Observed the expression of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1. Result The renal expression of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 in the rhubarb group and the model group were obviously increased compared with the normal group (P<0.05). The renal expression of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 in the rhubarb group was obviously weaker than the normal group(P<0.05). Conclusion Rhubarb could obviously inhibit the renal expression of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 in diabetes mellitus rats and protect kidney of diabetes mellitus rats.
4.Water Quality Analysis of the Field Seawater Desalination Reverse Osmosis Device by RO Process

Objective To study the operating parameters of the field seawater desalination reverse osmosis device by RO process and analyze quality of the product water.Methods In pressure of 4.90~6.37 MPa,the influence of operating pressure on salt rejection and water flux is researched to determine the best parameter.Except some conventional item test,the water quality analysis also includes BOD,COD,TOC,fluorescence spectra,ultraviolet spectra and chromatography of ions analysis.Results Operating pressure of 5.88 ~6.37 MPa,the water flux reaches 18 ~22 L/h and the ratio of desalinization exceeds 97.4%.The device has an organic contaminant elimination ratio higher than 95% and ion desalination ratio also more than 96%.The fundamental index is consistent with drinking water sanitary standard.Conclusion The field seawater desalination reverse osmosis device by RO process can effectively wipe off bacteria and contaminant of water and also can reduce salt salinity in untreated water to produce pure water for drinking.
5.Clinical analysis of pneumocystis carinii infection of 1996 cases of HIV/AIDS patients

Objective To investigate the infection status of HIV/AIDS patients complicated with pneumocystis Carinii Poneumonia(PCP),and the role of CD4+ T lymphocyte in PCP.Methods PC was detected by Giemsa's staining and CD4+ T lymphocyte was counted by flow cytometry.Meanwhile,this text calculated and compared a series of indexes about PC infection,such as the total positive rate,the average annual positive rate,the average monthly positive rate,the positive rate between female and male,the positive rate between sputum and BALF specimens,and the relationship between the positive rate and CD4+ T lymphocyte count.Results The total positive rate about PC infection of the 1 806 eases of sputum specimens was 46.8%,and the incidence mainly from April to July during a year,and the positive rates were 46.3% and 50.2% for males and females respectively.The results showed that there were no significant differences when compared with the average annual positive rate ( P > 0.05 ),but there were significant differences when compared with the average monthly positive rate ( P < 0.05 ),the positive rate between female and male(P>0.05),and among 3 formerly defined ranges of CD4+count(P <0.05).Conclusion Giemsa's staining showed the total positive rate was 46.8% of the HIV/AIDS patients infected by PC with sputum specimens,which represented a seasonal fluctuation tendency.The positive rate of BALF was higher than that in sputum,and it increased with CD4+ count decreasing.Giemsa's staining was an efficient,simple and feasible way for PC detection and easy for generalization.Meanwhile,it is strongly relied on the operator's experience and skill.

OBJECTIVETo dicuss the application and therapeutic effect of middle-forearm flap based on perforator of ulnar artery for electrical burn wound on the wrist.
METHODSFrom Oct. 2009 to Oct. 2012, 10 cases of electrical burn wounds on the wrist were treated. A line from radialis medial epicondyle of humerus to the interior radialis pisiform bone was connected as flap axis. At the midpoint of the line, Doppler flow imaging meter was used to detect the emerging point of perforator vessel. The flap was designed and harvested. The flap was transferred reversely, with superficial vein retaining which was anastomosed with vein at recipient sites in 3 cases. The wounds in the donor sites were closed directly in 2 cases, and with skin graft in 8 cases.
RESULTSAll the 10 flaps survived completely. 7 cases without vein anastomosis underwent obvious flap edema during 2-4 days postoperatively, which resovled 1 week later. Sub-flap tissue necrosis and infection happened in 2 cases, which healed after dressing and drainage. Patients were followed up for 3-36 months with satisfactory results.
CONCLUSIONSThe middle-forearm flap based on perforator of ulnar artery has a stable and reliable blood supply. It offers a new choice for the electric burn wound on the wrist, especially at the ulnar side.

7.Comparison of the ECG lead II characteristics in four different species of animals

Objective The ECG lead II characteristics of Beagle dog, rhesus monkey, Japanese white rabbit and tree shrew were analyzed and summarized to provide reference for drug safety evaluation studies.Methods The ECG lead II of healthy adult Beagle dog, rhesus monkey, Japanese white rabbit and tree shrew were recorded to determine the interval of P, PR, QT ( QTc) , the QRS waves and amplitude of P, R, T waves and the ST shift.Results and Conclusion All the animals had sinus rhythm.All the four species of animals had similar ECG pattern with no particular specific changes, but had some differences of the QRS wave group and T wave.The amplitude of P and T waves in Japanese white rabbit was smaller, and the heart rate of tree shrew was faster than that of the other species of animals.The ECG leadⅡdatabase of the Beagle dog, rhesus monkey, Japanese white rabbit and tree shrew is established.
8.Discovery of a Residual Focus of Bancroftian Filariasis after Declaration of its Transmission Interruption in Guangxi

Objective To describe the discovery of a residual foci of bancroftian filariasis in Fuchuan County where the disease was announced to have been eliminated, and reveal its epidemiologic feature.Methods The investigation was carried out from August 2007 to March 2008 among residents in Changtang village where the first caseof filariasiswas found and the neighboring villages.They were screened with two thick blood smears.Immunochromatographic technology(ICT) was conducted for those going out but returned and those in surrounding areas.Vector mosquitoes were collected and dissected to find filaria larvae.Historical documents were reviewed and relevant people were interviewed.Results In Changtang administrative village, 1 052 residents were screened and 19 cases with microfilaremia were found in 2 natural villages, with a Mf-positive rate of 1.8%(5.1% in Gangshang and 1.4% in Yinshan respectively).No Mf-positive case was found in 4 119 residents screened in other 3 villages.The average microfilaria density in the 19 cases was 17.37/60 ?l blood.All the 19 cases belonged to 12 families, and 13 cases were relatives to each other, which showed a feature of spatial clustering and family clustering.More patients were identified in the age groups of 20-29 and 50-59, and 57.9% of them were older than 50 years.No larvae were found in 54 Culex pipiens fatigans dissected.Conclusion The Changtang village is identified as a residual focus of bancroftian filariasis with a low, limited endemicity.More cases have been among the elderly with a low average microfilaremia.
9.Clinical characteristics and prognosis of brain-heart interaction in patients with acute severe stroke

To investigate and analyze the clinical characteristics and prognosis of brain-heart interaction (BHI) in patients with acute severe stroke. Methods The patients with acute severe stroke admitted to Neurointensive Care Unit of Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University from January 1st, 2015 to December 31st, 2017 were enrolled. The clinical data, indicators related to BHI and prognosis were collected. Patients were divided into BHI group and non-BHI group according to the presence or absence of BHI. The differences of each index were compared between two groups. The independent risk factors of BHI were analyzed using multivariate Logistic regression analysis. In addition, subgroup analysis was performed for patients in the BHI group based on the presence or absence of Takotsubo syndrome (TTS), and multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze independent risk factors for TTS. Results 119 patients with acute severe stroke were analyzed, BHI occurred in 91 cases (76.5%), and 17 cases (14.3%) TTS were included in the BHI group. Compared with non-BHI group, BHI group had lower rates of cerebrovascular disease history (20.9% vs. 42.9%, P = 0.020), lower smoking history (25.3% vs. 50.0%, P = 0.013), lower statin use (16.5% vs. 50.0%, P = 0.000), lower total cholesterol [TC (mmol/L): 3.97±1.05 vs. 4.43±0.88, P =0.039], and lower low density lipoprotein [LDL (mmol/L): 2.30±0.76 vs. 3.00±0.84, P = 0.000]. Multivariate Logistic regression showed that the use of statins [odds ratio (OR) = 0.222, 95% confidence interval (95%CI) = 0.075-0.658, P =0.007] and the history of cerebrovascular diseases (OR = 0.321, 95%CI = 0.113-0.912, P = 0.033) were protective factors of BHI. Compared with non-TTS subgroup, TTS subgroup had a lower percentage of diabetes history (0% vs. 37.8%, P = 0.002), lower glycated hemoglobin [HbA1c: 0.055 (0.050, 0.056) vs. 0.064 (0.056, 0.075), P = 0.000], higher TC (mmol/L: 4.70±1.16 vs. 3.80±0.95, P = 0.001), first day mean arterial pressure [MAP (mmHg, 1 mmHg = 0.133 kPa):114 (98, 122) vs. 103 (94, 108), P = 0.042], third day diastolic blood pressure [DBP (mmHg): 82 (77, 94) vs. 67 (59, 86), P = 0.002], and third day MAP [mmHg: 106 (95, 114) vs. 94 (80, 106), P = 0.015]. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that increased MAP on the third day of admission was an independent risk factor for TTS (OR = 11.833, 95%CI = 1.113-125.779, P = 0.040), increased HbA1c was protective factor of TTS (OR = 0.022, 95%CI = 0.001-0.345, P = 0.006). The rate of poor outcome at discharge of all the BHI patients were higher than those of the non-BHI patients (34.1% vs. 14.3%, P = 0.045). Conclusions Acute severe stroke patients with high incidence of acquiring BHI and having BHI is associated with poor outcome after discharge. Using statins, ischemic preconditioning and control blood pressure, the occurrence of BHI can be reduced and might be beneficial to patients.
10.Clinical significance of serum asprosin level in patients with early renal damage of essential hypertension

Objective To investigate the clinical significance and serum changes of asprosin(ASP)levels in patients with essential hypertension and early renal damage.Methods According to urinary albumin/creatinine ratio(UACR),160 patients with essential hypertension were divided into the simple hypertension group(78 cases)and the early renal damage group(82 cases).Another 60 healthy subjects were selected as the control group.The differences of serum ASP,interleukin-6(IL-6)and UACR levels were compared between groups.The correlation between ASP and blood pressure,IL-6 and UACR was analyzed.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the factors influencing early renal damage in essential hypertension.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the predictive value of each index for early renal injury.Results The serum levels of ASP,IL-6 and UACR were higher in the early renal damage group than those in the control group and the simple hypertension group(all P<0.05).The serum levels of ASP and IL-6 showed an increasing trend with the increase of blood pressure.ASP was positively correlated with systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP)and IL-6 levels in patients with essential hypertension(all P<0.05).Serum ASP was positively correlated with SBP,UACR and IL-6 levels in essential hypertension patients(P<0.05),and serum ASP was positively correlated with UACR and IL-6 levels in the early renal damage group(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that higher levels of SBP,ASP and IL-6 were independent risk factors for early renal damage.ROC curve showed that ASP had the largest area under the curve(AUC)of 0.972(95%CI:0.950-0.993).The AUC of combined detection of ASP+IL-6+SBP was 0.986(95%CI:0.972-0.999).Conclusion The increased serum ASP level in patients with early renal damage in essential hypertension is a good predictor of early renal damage.The combined detection of ASP+IL-6+SBP is better than single detection.
