Objective To upgrade No.1 Military Medial Project database from Oracle8.17 to Oracle10g. Methods Through the establishment of database link, the database migration was realized based on full test's foundation. Results The database was upgraded and the system's operation speed was enhanced greatly. Conclusion Under the existing technology, it is feasible to upgrade Oracle database from Oracle8.17 in 32 bits to Oracle10g in 64 bits, and the benefit is remarkable.

BACKGROUND: As a group of primary cells,stem cells have the potentials of self-renewal and multi-directional differentiation, and can replace the damaged cardiomyocytes to construct new vessels, and enable the asthenic heart to obtain the blood pumping function again.This study summarized the progress of stem cell transplantation in treating cardiovascular diseasesDATA SOURCES:A computer-based online search of Pubmed database was undertaken to identify English articles published from January 2000 to December 2005, the keywords were "stem cell transplantation, cardiovascular diseases".STUDY SELECTION: The articles were primarily checked, and the references of each literature were looked up. Inclusive criteria:articles correlated with the classification and the transplanted pathways of stem cells,the present status,problems and prospect of its basic and clinical application in treating cardiovascular diseases. Exclusive criteria: repetitive study or Meta analysis.DATA EXTRACTION:Totally 50 relative literatures were collected, and 31 of them accorded with the inclusive criteria,and the other 19 were excluded due to the old or repetitive contents. Of the 31 involved literatures, 19 were about the classification of stem cells used in cardiovascular system, 1 about the transplanted pathways of stem cells, 8 about the application of stem cells in treating cardiovascular diseases, and 3 about the existing problems and prospect.DATA SYNTHESIS:With the continuous improvement of living level and aging, cardiovascular diseases have become the main causes for death and disability in modern society.Stem cells have the potentials of multi-directional differentiation, and have become the main seed cells for cell replacement therapy, and provided important investigative and applicating field for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. At present, there are many stem cells to be used in cardiovascular system, including embryonic stem cells, umbilical cord blood stem cells, peripheral blood stem cells, bone marrow stem cells, skeletal muscle satellite cells, myocardial stem cells, adipose tissue-derived stem cells, etc. The common pathways for stem cell transplantation are direct injection into myocardium,intracoronary artery injection and intravenous injection.Stem cell transplantation can treat cardiovascular diseases by promoting angiogenesis and myocardial regeneration, decreasing myocardial apoptosis and reducing myocardial collagen, then ameliorate the cardiac function, and breakthrough and progress have been made in both animal models and clinical studies. However, problems sill exist to be solved, and there is agreat distance to the routine clinical application.CONCLUSION: Stem cells are the important fields of the basic research and clinical application for preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases,thus it will provide powerful theoretical and practical supports for the more effective prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases to solving the key points and difficulties in cardiovascular diseases.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the feasibility and the value of videodensitometric scale (VDS) in assessing myocardial microperfusion. Methods11 Beagles were embolized small coronary artery with polystyrene microbubble (100 μm). Coronary angiography was performed after the embolization and the VDS was calculated. Single photon emission computerized tomography (SPECT) was also performed after embolization and SPECT scores were also calculated. ResultsVDS after embolization was (15.2±3.8); and SPECT score was (17.6±6.4). VDS correlated negatively with SPECT scores (r=－0.85, P<0.05).ConclusionVDS keeps a closely correlation with SPECT. It can be used to assess myocardial microcirculation in clinical.

Objective To evaluate the feasibility and the value of videodensitometric scale(VDS)assessing myocardial microperfusion.Methods The small coronary arteries of 11 dogs were embolized by ejecting polystyrene microbubble(dm= 100 μm),six embolized at left anterior descending branch(LAD)and five embolized at left circumflex branch(LCX).Coronary angiography was performed before and after the embolization.The myocardial contrast echocardiography(MCE)was performed in 12th hour after embolization.VDS was calculated according to coronary angiography.MCE scales were calculated.Results Among the eleven experimental dogs,VDS before embolization was 24.4±4.9 and that after embolization was 15.2±3.8.VDS after embolization was obviously lower than before embolization(P<0.05).VDS between LAD and LCX at the same stage was no difference;MCE scores after embolization were 7.6±2.4.VDS was negatively dependent with MCES after embolization(γ=-0.78,P<0.05).Conclusion As a newly quantitative index and keeping a closely correction with MCE,VDS can be used as a quantitative index to assess myocardial microperfusion in clinic.

Objective To study the effects of peripheral nervous system on early and middle periods of fracture healing. Methods Denervated tibia fracture model and innervated tibia fracture model were made at the same rat. The animals were executed at day 15 and day 30 after operation respectively. Callus sizes were evaluated by radiograph. The mechanical properties of calluses were recorded in a three point bending test. The callus microstructures were measured by bone histomorphometry.Results Radiograph showed an increased callus formation in the denervated group both on day 15 and day 30 after operation (P0.05). Objective: To detect methylation status of p16 CDKN2A exon 1 during experimental carcinogenesis in rats. Methods:Thirty male clean SD rats were fed with 0.02 g/L of 4-nitroquinoline-oxide (4NQO) in drinking water.13, 16 and 24 weeks after experiment the normal, moderate-severe dysplasia and invasive squamous cell carcinoma tissues were removed from their tongues respectively; then the methylation status of p16 CDKN2A exon 1 were detected by methylation-specific PCR(MSP). Results:A 123 bp-unmethylated product was amplified in all samples but the methylated product was not detected in any of the samples. Conclusion: The p16 CDKN2A exon 1 appeares to be unmethylated during carcinogenesis of tongue cancer in experimental rats.

Objective To investigate the influential factors for refracture of the adjacent vertebral body following percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) treatment of patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCFs).Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on OVCFs patients undergone mono-segmental PVP from July 2007 to March 2010.Patients' age,gender,bone density,bone cement infusion dosage,bone cement leakage and pre-and post-operative fracture reduction were documented.Kaplan-Meier remaining rate curve was used to predict the trend of time to refracture.The related factors for adjacent vertebral body refracture following PVP were analyzed.Results In all,216 patients (98 males and 118 females; age range of 55-76 years,average 65.4 years) were enrolled in this study.Follow-up lasted for 12-18 months.Ninety-two patients sustained refracture including 68 patients with refracture of the adjacent vertebral body.Refracture of the adjacent vertebral body presented time-concentrated tendency and 66％ (45/68) occurred within 100 days followed by a notably lower incidence.Whereas the time to refracture of the non-adjacent vertebral body was not obviously centralized.Bone cement infusion dosage and vertebral body reset condition were strongly associated with the refracture incidence of the adjacent vertebral body,while opposite results were observed in regard of age,gender,bone density and bone cement leakage (or not).Conclusion PVP predisposes OVCFs patients to refracture of the adjacent vertebral body and its influential factors may be associated with bone cement infusion dosage and vertebral body reduction condition.

A total of 206 patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) were assigned into the trial group (n =156) and the control group (n =50) according to whether real object-based diabetic diet was provided.Traditional nutritional education for both groups during hospitalization.The patients in the trial group received a real object-based diabetic diet guided by a nutritionist who adjusted feeding regimens and skills before and after operation.The control group had a free access to a normal diet.The patient understanding of knowledge,attitude and practice (KAP) was examined by nutrition surveys.And their postoperative nutrition states and complications were assessed by questionnaires during a 6-month follow-up.The total average score of cognitive divided was 93.4 ± 7.5,the average score of diet therapy knowledge 13.8 ± 1.6 and the average scores of attitude and practice 9.6 ± 1.9 and 32.2 ±3.9.Significant differences existed between two groups (P ＜ 0.05).The incidence rates of hypoglycemia,hyperglycemia and gastrointestinal obstruction were lower than the control group (P ＜ 0.05,P ＜ 0.01).It suggested that real object-based diabetic diet guidance plus traditional nutrition education could improve the KAP level and may lower the incidence of postoperative complications in T2DM patients with gastric bypass.

Objective To investigate the feasibility of reconstruction of ureter with tubularized peritoneal free grafts for the treatment of avulsion of ureteral mucosa using animal models.Methods Twelve adult dogs were randomly divided into the reconstruction group(n=6) and the control group(n=6).Firstly,the model of avulsion of ureteral mucosa about 3-5 cm long was made.In reconstruction group,tubularized peritoneal free grafts and ureteral stents were placed in the injured ureters;and in control group,no operation was performed but to place the stents into the ureter.The curative effect was observed by IVU and histological examination 10 weeks after operation.Results In reconstruction group,IVU showed normal size and morphology of the kidneys.There was no hydronephrosis,and no obvious stricture of the part of ureter in which peritoneal free grafts were used as mucosa substitutes.In control group,IVU showed no image or only obscure enlarged outlines of the kidneys,and no image of the ureters.Atresia or severe stricture of the ureters was observed in all dogs in control group;while in reconstruction group,the peritoneal membrane was replaced by integrate transitional epithelium,and no obvious stricture was observed.Subepithelial abundant neovascularization was also seen.Conclusions For avulsion of ureteral mucosa exceeding 3 cm,placing stents only will lead to ureteral stricture or atresia,reconstruction using tubularized peritoneal free grafts as mucosa substitutes is an effective method.
