Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2007;27(5):590-2
The effect of the trace elements on retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) were studied. Thirty preterm infants who had potential high risk factors of ROP were selected as observation group and 18 normal infants as control groups. By using atom spectrophotometer, the contents of serum trace elements (Mg, Cu, Zn, Mn, Se) were measured and analyzed statistically. The contents of serum Zn, Cu and Se in observation group were 0.75+/-0.22, 0.41+/-0.20 and (134.07+/-71.57)x10(-3) mg/L respectively, and 0.55+/-0.12, 0.65+/-0.194 and (202.92+/-44.71)x10(-3) mg/L in control group respectively (P<0.01). The contents of Cu and Se were obviously lower and that of Zn higher in observation group than those in control group. The same results were obtained between the infants with ROP and controls (P<0.01). However, there was no significant difference in the contents of serum Mg and Mn between two groups (P>0.05). It was concluded that the contents of serum Cu and Se in preterm infants who had high risk factors of ROP were obviously lower than in the controls. The contents of serum Cu and Se in the ROP infants were also much lower while contents of Zn much higher. Attention should be paid to the detection of the trace elements in preterm infants in order to prevent the deficiencies of Cu and Se. Only in this way can we prevent the deficiencies of Cu and Se, so as to decrease the ROP risk factors and prevent the disease.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(3):291-294
The status of acupuncture-moxibustion is more and more recognized by mainstream medicine in the world in recent years, and literature regarding acupuncture-moxibustion with high impact factor (IF) published in the worldwide mainstream medicine journals is also gradually growing by years. To understand the situation of related literature, literature regarding acupuncture-moxibustion with IF of more than 10 in Science Citation Index (SCI) during the recent 5 years was retrieved. The number, the types, the diseases involved, the publishing states of the acquired articles and the source, the citation, the IF of the publishing journals were analyzed and summarized. Additionally, some of the research foci, the new research tendencies and the deficiencies of research were discussed. The thoughts and suggestions are expected to be provided for further research of acupuncture.

Chinese Journal of Infection Control 2015;(12):846-848
Objective To investigate the detection of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs)in a hospital, evaluate the efficacy of multi-disciplinary team(MDT)on management of MDROs,and provide guidance for effective control on MDRO infection. Methods From October 2013 to September 2014,compliance to comprehensive inter-vention measures in clinical departments in different stages as well as detection of MDROs from patients were com-pared respectively. Results Compliance to comprehensive intervention measures showed an overall upward trend from the fourth quarter of 2013 to the first, second, and third quarters of 2014,difference was statistically signifi-cant (all P <0.001 ).From the fourth quarter of 2013 to the third quarter of 2014,the percentage of the major MDRO strains in the same species of bacteria were:methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)52.34%, 45.45%,48.95%,and 26.25% respectively;carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB)64.42%, 63.07%,59.87%,and 43.09% respectively;multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (MDRPA)42.11 %, 41 .82%,29.33%,and 17.52% respectively;the detection rate of MRSA,CRAB,and MDRPA showed an overall downward trend, difference among different stages were statistically significant (all P <0.001 ).Detection rates of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE)and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE)were both low (<5%),difference among different stages were not statistically significant (all P >0.05).Conclusion MDT on man-agement of MDROs is helpful for reducing the emergence and spread of MDROs.

Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(09):-
Objective To evaluate the effect of laparoscopy in treatment of renal cysts. Methods Twenty- eight and thirty-five patients with renal cysts were performed with transperituneal and retroperitonel laparoscopy,re- spectively. Results A total of 62 patients were treated successfully, the average operation time was 60 minutes,no complications presented, and there was no recurrence in follow-up.Conclusion Laparoseopy survey had the advan- tages of less trauma and fewer complications and rapid recovery in treatment of renal cysts, which was suggested for clinical applications.
