Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus moxibustion in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.Method Sixty cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia were randomly divided into two groups, 30 cases in the treatment group, 30 cases in the control group. The treatment group was intervened by Acupuncture and moxibustion, while the control group was by orally takingJingzhu Qianlie Longbitong capsules. The International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS), Quality of Life score (QOL), maximal urinary flow rate (Qmax), residual urine volume (RUV) were compared before and after 3 courses of treatment. Result The total effective rate was 93.3% in the treatment group, versus 66.7% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); the IPSS score, QOL score, Qmax, and RUV were significantly changed in both groups after intervention (P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment group and the control group both show improvements in IPSS, QOL score and Qmax and reduction of RUV, which proves that acupuncture plus moxibustion can produce a content efficacy in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia.

This study aimed to construct recombinant adenovirus expressing Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA1) against nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). The C-terminal region fragment of the ebna1 gene of Epstein-Barr virus was amplified from the standard strain B95-8 by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The gene fragment was inserted into the pDC316 shuttle plasmid using the EcoRI and BgIII restriction enzyme sites. The pDC316-ebna1 shuttle plasmid and pBHG helper plasmid were cotransfected into HEK293 cells after sequencing. The soluble protein was extracted from HEK293 cells, which caused apparent cytopathic effects. The transcription and expression of the ebna1 gene were confirmed using flow cytometry and Western blotting. rAd-ebna1 titers were measured by the TCID50. rAd-ebna1 was injected into BALB/c mice at a dose of 2 x 10(8) VP per mouse, EBNA1 epitope-specific responses were measured at 1st, 2nd, 4th and 8th weeks post-immunization. The target fragment of ebna1 (939 bp) was obtained by PCR, and was in consensus with the sequence from the standard strain B95-8. Cytopathic effects were observed after the pDC316-ebna1 shuttle plasmid and pBHG helper plasmid were cotransfected into HEK293 cells. rAd-ebna1 was successfully recombined in HEK293 cells. EBNA1 protein was detected in HEK293 cells, rAd-ebna1 titers reached 10(8) TCID50/mL. Specific responses to CD4+ epitopes of EBNA1 were detected in the immunized mice. In conclusion, rAd-ebna1 was successfully constructed and induced specific responses to CD4+ epitopes of EBNA1 in immunized mice.

Objective To study the difference of expression of proteins in pancreatic cancer and adjacent fissue.Methods Proteomes of eight pairs of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tissue samples and adjacent tissue samples were obtained by high resolution two-dimensional gel electrophoresis(2-DE).Comprehensive analyses of proteins were focused on total protein spots exhibiting statistical alternations between the two groups.Protein identification was done by peptide mass fingerprinting with tandem mass spectrometry(MS/MS).In addition,Western blotting and immunohistochemistry were performed to verify the expression of certain candidate protein.Results A total of 28 protein spot-features were found to be significantly increased and 17 significantly decreased in tumor tissues.Thirty of these protein spots were identified,which included enzymes,antioxidant proteins,signal transduction proteins,calcium-binding protein,structural proteins,chaperones and others.Western blotting and IHC further validated up-regulated expressions of one candidate protein(annexin II)in tumor tissues.Conclusions The analysis of proteomics with 2-DE on human tissue is a useful method for discovering valuable cancer marker candidates.These differential expressed proteins may serve as biomarkers for early detection and therapeutic targets to pancreatic cancer.

Objective To investigate the damaging traits of cognitive function in first episode depression patients with the assessment of neuropsychological status ( RBANS) and Stroop Color-word Test. Methods Two hundred and thirty first-episode depression patients as experimental group and one hundred and seventy-eight health person as control were evaluated separately by repeatable battery for the RBANS and Stroop Color-word Test. Results In Stroop Color-word Test,the time required for completing the words,color,double-word,two-color in depression patients ( (14.37 ±6.65)s,(21. 58 ±8. 70) s,( 16. 56 ±8. 23)s, (37. 88 ± 13. 67) s) were longer than the control group ((12.38 ±3.34)s, (18.01 ±5.51) s, (14. 17 ±4. 37) s, (32. 87 ± 10.28) s). The difference between the two groups was found in cognitive function in first episode depression patients (P ＜ 0.05). The scores of color interference and meaning interference were no difference between the two groups (P＞0.05) . The patients'scores of the RBANS test in all items( (72.19 ± 17.22), (80.89 ± 15.29), (82.00 ± 16.37) , (98.74 ± 17.01) ,(82.09 ± 14.62) )were significantly poorer than those in healthy controls. Compared with control group, scores of the scales were significant difference between two groups. Pearson correlation analysis showed that RBANS total score and five factors had no correlation with HAMD total score and factors. It positively correlated with education level (P＜0.05) ,but not with sex (P＞0.05). Immediate memory,verbal function,delayed memory in five factors and RBANS total score negatively correlated with age and course of disease respectively, but breadth of vision,attention were not did(P＜0.05). Conclusion First-episode depression patients suffer from more serious and comprehensive damage of cognitive function such as memory,attention,executive function.

Objective To study the clinical significance of antinuclear antibody (ANA),anti-thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPO-Ab) and antithyroglobulin antibody (Tg-Ab),thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH),free triiodothyronine (FT3),free thyroxine (FT4) in patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA).Methods 46 women with RSA diagnosis in out patient department in Peking University Shenzhen Hospital from March 2015 to December 2016 were recruited as the study group,20 women with normal childbirth history were enrolled as the control group,ANA was detected by indirect immunofluorescence (IIF) assay and ELISA,TSH,FT3 and FT4 were detected by chemiluminescence immunoassay technology.Results The positive rates of ANA(IIF),TPO-Ab and Tg-Ab in patients with RSA were 24％,24％ and 15％ respectively which were significantly higher than those in healthy control (P＜0.05).Serum levels of TSH,TPO-Ab and Tg-Ab in patients with RSA were 2.70 ± 1.38 mIU/L,38.99 ± 10.18 IU/ml and 3.07 ± 1.69 IU/ml respectively,which were significantly higher than those in healthy cases (P＜0.05).Conclusion ANA and antithyroid antibodies were closely related with RSA.It is very important to screen ANA and antithyroid antibodies for etiological diagnosis and appropriate intervention in patients with RSA to reduce the incidence of abortion.

Objective To compare the fast blood flow density (FBFD) of intermediate choroid between endogenous Cushing syndrome (ECS) patients and healthy control subjects.Methods Thirteen eyes of 7 eligible ECS patients (ECS group) and 13 eyes of 7 gender,age,axial length matched healthy volunteers (control group) were enrolled in this study.For each subject,macular radial scan with swept source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) was performed and subfoveal choroidal thickness (SCT) was measured.Then 3.0 mm× 3.0 mm macular scan with SS-OCT angiography was performed,and selected blood flow image at intermediate choroid level or 1/2 SCT beneath Bruch membrane.The grayscale images were then binarized for the analysis of FBFD.Results The SCT in ECS group was (394.7±77.7) μm,which was significantly thicker than (332.1 ± 68.1) μm in control group (t=2.923,P=0.008).The FBFD of intermediate choroid in ECS group were (76.35± 14.46)％,which were significantly greater than (63.57± 13.42)％ in control group (t=2.775,P=0.01).Conclusion ECS patients had increased FBFD at intermediate choroid level compared with healthy controls.

Objective To investigate the meaning of expression of apoptosis related molecules NFKBp65 and p53 and GPX1-mRNA in patients with Keshan disease(KSD).Methods Sixteen chronic Keshan Disease patients were enrolled in KSD group according to electrocardiogram,chest X ray film and clinical examinations on 15,September in 2009,and 23 healthy people were included in control group from physical examination taken in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University.Fresh blood(5 ml)was collected from antecubital vein of all subjects in the fasting state.Total mRNA and protein of blood sample were isolated using Trizol.GPX Assay Kit was used to detect GPX enzyme activity,and GPX1-mRNA expression was determined by SYBR Real-Time PCR.Meanwhile,expression of apoptosis related molecules NFKBp65 and p53 were determined by Western blot.Results GPX enzyme activity decreased significantly in KSD group[(108.61±14.10)U]compared with control group[(122.78±11.89)U,t=2.874,P<0.05],GPX1-mRNA level of KSD group(0.553±0.299)notably KSD group(0.802±0.057)compared with control group[(1.065±0.355),t=6.829,P<0.01].p53 increased in KSD group(1.604±0.191)compared with control group[(1.137±0.186),t=3.033,P<0.05].Conclusiom Decreased GPX1-mRNA expression may result in lower GPX enzyme activity of patients with KSD.Thus oxidative damage increases and cadioeyte apoptosis is activated by activating apoptosis signal pathway.

Objective To explore the value of color doppler ultrasonography by bed side in the early diagnosis of HIE in full term neonates.Methods The changes of cerebral parenchymal and cerebral arterial blood stream parameter on 35 cases of neonates clinically diagnosed HIE of mild and moderate degree and 40 cases of normal newborns on the 24,48 and 72 hours after birth were observed by color doppler ultrasonography by bed side.Results 1.The cerebral parenchyma was even echo in normal newborns,but it was maldistributed and reinforced in mild asphyxia neonates and it was more serious in moderate degree.The echo of cerebral parenchyma in mild degree was near normal in 48 hours after birth,while the echo of cerebral parenchyma in moderate degree was still maldistributed and reinforced in 48 and 72 hours after birth.2.There was obvious changes in the cerebral arterial blood stream parameter and hemodynamics of the asphyxia newborns compared with normals.The systolic peak velocity(Vs)and end diastolic velocity(Vd)of the cerebral arteries in mild and moderate degree were obviously lower than that of control group in 24,48 hours after birth(Pa0.05).3.Resistance index(RI)of the cerebral arteries in mild and moderate degree were higher than that of control group in 24,48 hours after birth(Pa0.05).Conclusion Color doppler ultrasonography by bed side is a convenient,noninvasive method for diagnosing HIE.

OBJECTIVETo study the modulatory effect of sulfur dioxide (SO(2)) on the accumulation of collagen type I and type III in the wall of aorta during spontaneously hypertensive rat (SHR) vascular remodeling.

METHODSEight male Wistar Kyoto rats at the age of 4 weeks with normal blood pressure were used as a control group. And sixteen male SHRs at the age of 4 weeks were randomly divided into an SHR control group and SHR + Na(2)SO(3)/NaHSO(3) (SO(2) donor) group. Na(2)SO(3)/NaHSO(3) solution was injected intraperitoneally everyday to the rats in the SHR + Na(2)SO(3)/NaHSO(3) group. After 5 weeks, the systemic blood pressure was measured. The weight ratio of left ventricle to the whole heart was also measured. The rat aorta was dyed with Hart's method. The morphometric parameters including outer radius, lumen radius and the wall thickness were calculated by Leica workstation. The plasma level of SO(2) was determined by HPLC method. The expressions of collagen type I and type III in aorta were detected by immunohistochemistry.

RESULTS(1) Compared with the WKY rat control group, the systolic blood pressure increased by 53%, the weight ratio of left ventricle to the whole heart increased by 6% but the plasma level of SO(2) decreased by 44% for rats in the SHR group (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05). Compared with the SHR control group, the systolic blood pressure decreased by 26%, but the plasma level of SO(2) increased by 28% (all P < 0.01) for rats in the SHR + Na(2)SO(3)/NaHSO(3) group. (2) Compared with the WKY rats, the ratio of media to lumen radius increased by 28% for SHR. Compared with the SHR group, the ratio of media to lumen radius decreased by 10% (P < 0.01) in rats of the SHR + Na(2)SO(3)/NaHSO(3) group. (3) Compared with rats in the WKY control group, collagen type I expression increased by 10% for rats in the SHR group (P < 0.01). Compared with the SHR group, however, the expression decreased by 58% for rats in the SHR + Na(2)SO(3)/NaHSO(3) group (P < 0.01). (4) Compared with rats in the WKY control group, the expression increased by 13% for rats in the hypoxia SHR group (P < 0.01); however, compared with rats in the SHR group, the expression decreased by 8% in the rats of the SHR +Na(2)SO(3)/NaHSO(3) group (P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONSIn the process of SHR vascular collagen remodeling in the rats, SO(2) could inhibit the abnormal accumulation of collagen type I and type III in the wall of aorta. This effect may be one of the mechanisms by which SO(2) ameliorates SHR vascular remodeling.
