Journal of Chinese Physician 2017;19(6):872-875
Objective To investigate the efficiency of liver cancer with portal vein tumor thrombus (MPVTT),hepatic artery portal vein fistula (APVS) in patients with hepatic artery chemoembolization (TACE) combined with the clinical value of portal vein stent during treatment with APVS embolization. Methods From January 2012 to October 2014,59 cases of HCC patients who accepted the treatment of TACE + stent in portal vein embolization of + APVS surgery, companied with MPVTT and APVS were ret rospectively analyzed. The liver function, portal vein angiography and pressure at different time points were measured and compared before and after treatment, and follow-up and prognosis were recorded. Results After treatment with albumin, platelets (PLT) levels were higher than those before treatment (P < 0.05),with PT values lower than before treatment (P < 0.05).No statistical significance was found for aspartate aminotransferase (AST),alanine aminotransferase (ALT) before and after treatment (P > 0.05).Stent implantation before and after stent implantation, the portal venous pressure of APVS embolization had signif icant difference (P < 0.05).Portal venous pressure level of stent implantation was lower than before stent implantation (P < 0.05).The portal venous pressure level of APVS embolization was lower than the stent implantation before and after stent implantation (P < 0.05).At the 12 months after treatment,28 cases survived (47.46%);24 months after treatment,11 cases survived (18.64%) of the group;a total of 3 patients was lost to follow-up,the median survival time of the patients 24 months 16.5 months. Conclusions Liver cancer with MPVTT and APVS in the TACE combined with portal vein stent in the treatment process using APVS embolization can further improve the portal vein blood flow, and reduce the pressure of Dortal vein.

Objective To investigate the ablative effect of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) on the celiac ganglion (CG) and the subsequent change in gastro-intestinal (GI) function. Methods Thirty-three New Zealand white rabbits of both sexes aged 5-10 months weighing 1.6-2.7 kg were randomly divided into 3 groups (n=11 each) according to the dose of HIFU (intensity?time) : group A 50 W?cm-2?10 sec; group B 10 W?cm-2 ?10 sec and group C no HIFU. Upper abdomen was opened through median incision under general anesthesia. CG was exposed to HIFU. One animal was killed in each group at 4h after operation and CG was obtained for microscopic examination. The GI function was observed for 3 days in the rest 10 animals in each group. The motor function of the hind limbs and the appearance of skin were observed for 30 days after operation. One animal in each group was killed 30 days after HIFU and CG was obtained for microscopic examination. Results Stroma edema was observed in group A and B 4 hours after HIFU. The neurons became smaller and the nuclei condensed, and fiber hyperplasia and satellite cells were observed in CG 30 days after HIFU in group A and B. The incidence of diarrhea was significantly increased in group A as compared with group B and C (P
4.Detection of basic fibroblast growth factor receptor protein on human lens epithelial cells
International Eye Science 2008;8(8):1511-1513
· AIM: To study the expression of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) receptor protein in human lens epithelial cells (HLECs). METHODS: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the level of bFGF receptor protein and image analysis was adopted to perform the relative quantitative analysis on it. · RESULTS: There was bFGF receptor protein in HLECs accordingl to both qualitative and quantitative analysis. · CONCLUSION: bFGF receptor protein exists in HLECs and it is the material foundation for bFGF to improve the proliferation of HLECs.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of autologous melanocyte transplantation for the treatment of vitiligo in patients with abnormal thyroid function. Methods A total of 60 patients with vitiligo were enrolled in this study, including 30 with abnormal thyroid function and 30 without.Epidermal sheets were obtained by suction blister biopsy from the normal skin of all the patients followed by melanocyte isolation and culture. After 2-5 passages of subculture, the melanocytes were transplanted onto vitiliginous lesions, which were abraded previously by ultra-pulsed CO2 laser,in the corresponding patients. All the patients were followed for 6-12 months. Results Of the 30 patients with abnormal thyroid function,7 patients achieved more than 90% repigmentation,9 patients 50%-89% repigmentation,53.3% more than 50% repigmentation, with the average repigmentation rate being 47% within 6 months after the transplantation.Meanwhile,13 out of the 30 patients without abnormal thyroid function showed more than 90% repigmentation,11 showed 50%-89% repigmentation, with the average repigmentation rate being 75%.Both the cure rate and response rate were significantly higher in the patients without abnormal thyroid function than in those with (cure rate,43.3% vs.23.3%,P< 0.05; response rate,80% vs.53.3%,P< 0.05).Significant differences were also found in the response rate for lesions on the face or neck and for those sized more than 20 cm2 between the two groups of patients (both P < 0.05).The lesions transplanted with epidermal melanocytes from the waist exhibited the lowest cure rate and response rate. Conclusion Clinical or subclinical thyroid dysfunction may have a negative impact on the efficacy of autologous melanocyte transplantation in vitiligo.

Objective: To establish the characteristic fingerprint of volatile oil of Pogostemon cablin (Blanco) Benth. Methods: The main components of 21 samples were determined by GC MS. Results: ? Patchoulene, ? Elemene, cis Caryophyllene, trans Caryophyllene, seychellene, ? Guaiene, ? Patchoulene, ? Guaiene, unidentification component A, patchoulic alcohol, pogostone were determined in all samples, and the relative content of 11 components add up to 80 percent. Compared with the samples produceds in Gaoyao and Hainan, Shipai samples were significantly differences. Conclusion: The retention time and relative content of 11 components bulidup the characteristic fingerprint of volatile oil of Pogostemon cablin (Blanco) Benth, it can be used for quality control and identification to Pogostemon cablin (Blanco) Benth.

Objective To explore the clinical value of transvaginal three-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound in assessing effects of Chinese herbal drugs on improving endometrial receptivity in patients with thin endometrium. Methods A total of 76 cases of patients diagnosed with thin endometrium in Jiangbei District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2015 to October 2016 were selected and treated with Chinese herbal prescription for three months. The endometrial thickness, endometrial volume and blood flow indexes before and after treatment were measured by using transvaginal three-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound. Results After 3 months treatment, the endometrial thickness and endometrial volume were increased, and the pulse index (PI) and resistance index (RI) of endometrial blood flow were decreased, compared with those before treatment, there were statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The results of three-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound indicates that after 3 months treatment the vascularization index (VI),flow index (FI) and vascularization flow index (VFI) were significantly higher than those before treatment, there were statistically significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusion The Chinese herbal prescription could increase the thickness and volume of endometrium, augment blood supply, and improve endometrial receptivity significantly.Transvaginal color three-dimensional Doppler ultrasound is a convenient and objective method for evaluating clinical efficacy of Chinese herbal prescription in patients with thin endometrium, which has high practical value.
