ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of early electro-acupuncture treatment on prevention of post-operative adhesions.Methods40 rabbits were randomly divided into 5 groups: normal control group, model group 1, model group 2, early electro-acupuncture group and later electro-acupuncture group with 8 animals in each group. Muscle adhesion model was established by operation. The early electro-acupuncture group was received the treatment from the 11th to 20th day after the operation; later electro-acupuncture group was from the 21st to 30th day after the operation. The weight, gait and range of motion (ROM) of animals were observed and analyzed.ResultsThe standing, walking and ROM of animals of the early electro-acupuncture group improved; but only few gait indexes improved and ROM not changed in the later electro-acupuncture group.ConclusionThe early electro-acupuncture treatment can prevent the post-operative adhesion of muscles, but not having effect on formed adhesion.

Lumbar intervertebral disc herniation clinical symptoms and signs are very complicated, lumbocrural pain is the most characteristic clinical symptoms, and show the site (range or area), intensity, nature, evolution, influence factors and adjoint symptoms and so on has certain characteristics and rules. Among them, the dermatomal pain, kinesthetic dysesthesia, dynamic changing pain and lesions segment vertebral side deep tenderness are the most impotent characteristics and rules of pain, therefore, can be regarded as the main basis of clinical diagnosis of the disease, and also the core content of this article.

Pain is all lumbocrural pain cases very common clinical symptoms, but the etiology, pathology, site (range or area), intensity, nature, evolution situation and influence factors of pain usually has some certain characteristics and rules, these differences particularly are regarded as the primary and important basis or clue for the clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of related diseases. In addition, according to these differences can determine the individual diagnosis of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation as well, including typical and atypical, simple and compound, the general and special cases, these be- come the basis to determine the individualized therapeutic schedule of this disese.

Pain is common clinical symptoms of lumbocrural, but the etiology, pathology, sites (range or area), intensity, nature, evolution situation and influence factors of pain has some certain characteristics and rules. These differences particularly were regarded as the primary and important basis or clues for the clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis of related diseases. A series of exclusive diagnosis for similar symptoms is premise of diagnosis of lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion. Ideas and methods of differential diagnosis of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation can help the diagnosis and identification.

Objective To investigate the relationship between the apoptosis, expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax protein in perihematomal brain regions of rats and neurologic dysfunctions after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Methods Seventy Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly into two groups:an experimental group and a control group.A model of ICH was established by injection of 0.5 U bacterial collagenaseⅦinto the caudate nucleus in the rats.Neurological impairment was evaluated at 6 h,12 h,24 h,48 h,72 h,7 d and 14 d after 1CH,respectively, before the rats were sacrificed.TUNEL method was used to detect apoptosis, and SP method to detect expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax protein in the perihematomal brain tissues. Results Neurological impairment occurred in all the rats after ICH,and peaked at 48 h after ICH.The apoptosis and expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax protein were peaked at 48 h,6 h and 48 h after ICH,respectively. Conclusion The degree of the neurological impairment after ICH is parallel to that of the apoptosis.Apoptosis may play an important role in neurological impairment after ICH.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1993;0(03):-
Objective To explore the clinical and pathologic features of Langerhans cell histiocytosis(LCH).Method Thirty-eight cases of LCH from both in hospital and outpatient department in dermatology and pediatry department from Jan.1991 to Jun.2006 were analyzed about the features of clinic, pathology and immunohistochemistry. Results The mean age of onset was 2.18 years old.The male /female ratio was 1.71.Skin lesions occurred in 78.9% of the patients.Among them,68.5% were as the first manifestation. The eruptions mainly distributed on trunk,90% of them presented as hemorrhagic maculopapules,nevertheless,3.3% of the eruptions showed as crust with hilar depression, which was similar to pityriasis lichenoides etvarioliformis acuta.Fever, hepatomegalia and splenomegia occurred in patients at a rate of 60.5%,68.4%,55.3% respectively.Thirty-one point six percent of the patients had got lymphadenectasis, the neck and inguinal lymph nodes were the common site to be affected.Ossature involvement occurred in 31.6% of the patients, which 8.3% got multiple injuries,howe-ver,91.7% got a solitary bone involved.Skull was the main site to be injured, else were lumbar, humerus, hipbone,an so on.Respiratory tract, auditory canal, mucosa were also the sites involved in this disease, but the incidence rate was lower than 10%,respectively.The laboratory data showed that 81.3% of the patients were anaemia,60.7% with abnormal subgroup of T-cell,and 32.1% positive for EBV-IgG.The skin histopathology data of 26/30 cases revealed that lichenoid infiltrates of Langerhans cells confined to the upper dermis.Cytologic features were cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasms, and longitudinally grooved or reniform nuclei.Lymphocytes and a few eosinophils also could be seen.Four cases of thirty showed that the proliferative Langerhans cells were with pale cytoplasms, besides, there were numerous eosinophils, and sometimes a few multinucleate cells were scattered. The immunity test of 20 cases of thirty displayed that CD1a(+)S100(+)KP-1(-).Biopsy of lymphaden and tumor of the skull of the rest 8 patients were all diagnosed as eosinophilic granuloma through both hematoxylin and eosin-stained section and immune marks. Conclusions Multiple systems can be involved in LCH.Hemorrhagic maculopapules, fever and splenohepatomegalia are common presentations in this disease. The morphous of nucles of histiocytes is particular, and to diagnose definitely, both CD1a(+) and S-100(+) are needed.

Sphingosine kinase 1 (SphK1) plays critical roles in cell biological functions. Here we investigated the effects of SphK1 inhibitor SKI II on hepatoma HepG2 cell cycle progression and invasion. Cell survival was determined by SRB assay, cell cycle progression was assayed by flow cytometry, the ability of cell invasion was measured by Matrigel-Transwell assay and protein expression was detected by Western blotting. The results showed that SKI II markedly inhibited HepG2 cell survival in a dose-dependent manner, induced G1 phase arrest in HepG2 cell and inhibited cell invasion. SKI II markedly decreased the expressions of G1-phase-related proteins CDK2, CDK4 and Cdc2 and the levels of cell invasion-associated proteins MMP2 and MMP9. The results showed that SKI II inhibited cell cycle progression and cell invasion, implying SphK1 as a potential target for hepatoma treatment.
