3.Analysis of Quality of Life in patients with uterus cervical cancer
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(02):-
Objective To investigate the quality of life (QOL) of cervical cancer patients and its influential factors as well as to explore the method for improving the QOL in this population of patients. MethodsA QOL questionnaire for uterus cervical cancer (QOL-UCC) was designed and used in a survey of 81 UCC patients before they got any treatment and 124 UCC patients after they were treated for a period of time. SPSS 9.0 software was used to analyze data. ResultsThe patients got poor score with psychological status items(2.11? 0.34 ) before treatment, while those who had been treated for a period of time got poor score with social characteristics items(2.01? 0.33 ), especially with the work(1.87)and sexuality (1.00) items. Economic status of the patients, unsuccessful control of progress of the disease and recurrence were the main influential factors of the QOL in the UCC patients. ConclusionPsychosocial factors play very important roles in QOL of the UCC patients. As a result, psychosocial interventions should be stressed in the rehabilitation of this population of patients.
4.Design and validation of a QOL scale for the Chinese patients with uterocervical cancer
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(09):-
Objective To develop and validate a qual it y of life(QOL) scale for the Chinese patients with uterocervical cancer (QOL-UC C). Methods Based on the internationally accepted de finition of QOL and the clinical characteristics of uterocervical cancer as wel l as the existing QOL scales, we designed the QOL-UCC. Then 113 patients were r ecruited and the reliability, validity and feasibility of the scale were tested. Results It was shown that the QOL-UCC had good reli ability, validity and feasibility. Conclusion QOL-U CC is a reliable and valid instrument for evaluation of the QOL in Chinese pa tients with uterocervical cancer.
5.New Target of Treatment of Autoimmune Diseases
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(09):-
On the clinic, the main treatment of autoimmune diseases were used immunosuppressant, but large-scale use of immunosuppressive agents could cause of the delayed dysfunction, side effects such as infection, tumors and so on,so-induced immune suppression and immune tolerance response was the most effective way.So far, dendritic cells(DC) was the most powerful professional antigen-presenting cells. On one hand,DC as a full-time antigen-presenting cells and trigger regulation of the inherent and acquired immune response, start the immune response; On the other hand,DC through a variety of mechanisms induced antigen-specific T cells incompetent, show strong plasticity in immune tolerance and play an important role in immune regulation.Nuclear factor(NF)-?B is a nuclear transcription factor. In the immune response,NF-?B in the dendritic cells regulation of their own including development, maturity, the antigen-presenting,to stimulate T cells functions and so on.Such adjustments play an important role in the incidence of autommine diseases, could became a new target treatment of autommine diseases.
6.Relationship of cyclin D1 and P16 with the biological characters of lung cancer
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2005;9(42):186-187
BACKGROUND:Cyclin D1 and P16 promote cellular proliferation and inhibit cellular division by regulating the activity of CDK4. There existes to some extent amplification or overexpression of cyclin D1 gene together with P16 gene the inactivation of P16 gene in the many tumors.OBJECTIVE: To probe into the relationship of the amplification of cyclin D1 and the deletion of P16 and lung cancer.DESIGN: Controlled trial of case samples.SETTING: Department of Biochemistry, the 81 Hospital of Chinese PLA.PARTICIPANTS: Tissue samples of 40 cases of lung cancer were obtained from surgical specimens of tumor tissues and normal lung tissues at the 81 hospital of Chinese PLA between June 1998 and June 1999. Informed consent was obtained from the patients.METHODS: Method of multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was adopted. Cyclin D1 gene and P16 gene were amplified in the same tube, using extracted genome DNA as template. 10 μL PCR products were separated on a 15 g/L agarose gel.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: ① Amplificative result of cyclin D1and P16 in the pathological tissue of the patients with lung cancer. ② Relationship of cyclin D1 and P16 and the biological character of lung cancer.RESULTS: ① The amplified positive rates of cyclin D1 gene and P16gene in lung cancer were 55.0%(22/40) and 65%(26/40) respectively.②Relationship of cyclin D1 and P16 and biological characters of lung cancer :The amplified positive rate of both of them is closely related to the metastasis of lymph node and the staging of clinical pathology. With the incidence and development of metastasis, amplification positive rate of cyclin D1 was increased while the positive rate of P16 decreased.CONCLUSION: The high amplification of Cyclin D1 and the high deletion of P16 gene is closely related to the high activity of proliferation of lung cancer. To detect the changes of these two genes would help us to judge the metastasis, malignant extent and patients' prognosis.
7.An ion chromatography method for detection of ammonia in the environmental air in laboratory animal facilities
Chinese Journal of Comparative Medicine 2015;(9):70-72
ObjectiveToestablishanionchromatography(IC)methodfordetectionofammoniainthe environmental air of laboratory animal facilities .Methods Dilute sulfuric acid was used as the absorption liquid to collect ammonia in the air.Ammonia was converted into ammonium ion in the absorption solution .With methylene sulfonic acid as the pouring liquid , the content of ammonium ion in the absorption solution was detected , and the concentration of ammonia in the air was calculated. Results The ammonium ion showed good linearity in the range of 0 to 1μg/mL (r=0.9994), and high precision ( RSD<6.38%) .The lowest detected concentration was 0.012 mg/m3 , and the average recovery was 98.8%.Conclusions This is a simple method , easy to operate , not interfered by other ions , and can be used to detect the ammonia in the environmental air of laboratory animal facilities .
8.Losartan reduces cardiomyocyte apoptosis in rats with heart failure
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2009;29(11):1207-1210
Objective To find the inpact(s) of Losartan on myocardial apoptosis in rats with heart failure. Methods Eight-week-old male SD rats were divided into control group (group C) , heart failure (group HF) and treatment group (group LS). Use of doxorubicin injection model, group LS at the same time in a row to the oral losartan, myocardial ultrastructure was examined by TEM. DNA-situ terminal labeling (TUNEL method) was used to detect myocardial apoptosis and myocardial BAX, BCL-2 protein expression was detected by immunohistochemistry. Results Group HF showed significant myocardial cell injury, and apoptotic bodies were found, serum CPK, CK-MB and LDH were increased. In LS group, myocardial apoptosis index was lower (P <0. 01) , myocardial cells BCL-2 expression, BAX expression reduced as compared with those in HF group. Conclusion Losartan can effectively inhibit the process of heart failure occurred in cardiomyocyte apoptosis, reverse myocardial damage and improve the prognosis of heart failure.
