Objective To study the expression of survivin in malignant pleomorphic adenoma, relay pleomorphic adenoma and pleomorphic adenoma. Methods The transcription and interpretation of urvivin mRNA in the salivary gland tumor were analyzed via immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization methods. Results Survivin mRNA expression and protein expression were almost the same in malignant pleomorphic adenoma, relay pleomorphic adenoma and pleomorphic adenoma. But they were different in the gland around the malignant pleomorphic adenoma. There was a significant difference of Survivin mRNA and protein expression in pleomorphic adenoma and malignant pleomorphic adenoma, and relay pleomorphic adenoma. The expressions were almost the same in relay and malignant pleomorphic adenoma. Conclusion The expression of survivin mRNA and protein is increased in pleomorphic adenoma and may be involved in the onset and progression of pleomorphic adenoma. It indicates that mRNA is relatively stable in the mRNA transcription and protein interpretation in malignant pleomorphic adenoma, and it is also showed earlier in gene amplification than in protein expression of the malignant tumor in the initial stage of malignant pleomorphic adenoma.Survivin can be a new diagnostic/therapeutic target in pleomorphic adenoma.

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect and safety of homemade biodegradable drug eluting stents(Excel stents)in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods Two hundred and twelve patients who received Excel stents implantation during February,2006 to March 2007 were included in the study.Procedural success rate and complications during hospitalization were monitored and all the patients were followed up clinically up to 8-21 months after discharge. Results The procedural success rate was 99.1%(210/212).A total of 420 Excel stents were implanted while direct stenting was applied in 125 patients(29.8%).Sudden cardiac death happened in 1 patient during hospitalization. Two hundred and six patients finished their clinical follow up and among them,6 patients had recurrant angina.Fifty patients received CAG examination 6-9 months after PCI and 2 patients reached the criteria of restenosis(stenosis ≥50%)and required revascularization. Conclusion Homemade biodegradable drug eluting stents(Excel stents)are safe and effective for PCI in coronary heart disease patients.
3.Research progress of tumor-associated neutrophils
Practical Oncology Journal 2017;31(4):367-370
Tumor growth depends on the tumor microenvironment(TME).Tumor-associated neutrophils(TANs)are important inflammatory cells in TME.TANs are divided intoN1type with anti-tumor effect andN2type of tumor-promoting effect. Therefore,TANs have both beneficial and harmful aspects of the body.A large number of studies have been shown that TANs affect tumor formation, metastasis, angiogenesis and immune response, regulated by the secretion of cytokines and chemokines. This review will summarize the biological characteristics of TANs,and tumor development, prognosis and treatment of tumor as well as research progress of the relationship between TANs and tumor.

Objective To detect content of 4-hydroxy-3-methoxy benzoic acid by RP-HPLC and observe the inhibitory effect of phloroglucinol on catecholamine-O-methyl transferase (COMT). Methods This study used the principle of 3,4-dihydroxy benzoic acid transforming to 4-hydroxy-3-methoxy benzoic acid under COMT’ s catalytic action. COMT (20 μL) was extracted from mouse liver homogenate. In a reaction system,10 μL catecol (1í10-3 mol·L-1 ) and 10 μL phloroglucinol (5í10-3 , 1í10-3 and 2í10-4 mol·L-1 ,respectively) were added. Products were determined by RP-HPLC to analyze effects of 4-hydroxy-3-methoxy benzoic acid on COMT. Results Phloroglucinol had inhibitory effect on COMT activity at concentrations of 5í10-3 mol·L-1 ,1í10-3 mol·L-1 and 2 í10-4 mol ·L-1 ,with the inhibition rate being 25. 3% ,17. 6% and 8. 9% ,respectively. Conclusion Phloroglucinol has an inhibitory effect on COMT activity, which is weaker than the effect of catechol of the same concentration.

Objective To discuss the Survivin protein expression in different salivary gland tumor.(Methods)This experiment was based on tissue chip technology.Expression of Survivin protein in the salivary gland tumor was analyzed with immunohistochemical methods. Results ① Survivin expression showed significant difference in the salivary gland benign and malignant tumors(P0.05).The gland around the malignant tumor showed diversity compared with malignant tumor(P0.05).Conclusion Survivin expression has correlation with the relay tumor canceration, and the gland around malignant tumor has correlation with occurrence, progress, prognosis in the salivary gland malignant tumor, and it is a reliable marker of earlier period diagnosis and prognosis of the malignant tumor of salivary gland.

Objective To construct the recombinant adenovirus vector carrying rat vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) as preparation for later use for genetic transfection. Methods Rat VEGF was obtained by using RT-PCR amplification and then cloned into the shutter plasmid pDC316.Subsequently,this newly constructed plasmid pDC316-VEGF,after identification by nuclease digestion analysis and sequencing analysis, was transfected into human embryonic kidney cells HEK293 by lipofectamine 2000 mediation, together with adenovirus-packaging plasmid pBHGE3.Based on the homologous recombination of the two plasmids within HEK293 cells, the recombinant adenovirus vector carrying VEGF,VDC316-VEGF,was created.VDC316-VEGF was subsequently identified using PCR,purified using repeated plaque passages, proliferated using freezing and melting within HEK293 cells, and titrated using 50% Tissue Culture Infective Dose(TCID50) assay. Results The newly constructed recombinant adenovirus was confirmed carrying rat VEGF by PCR,and its titration value determined based on TCID50 assay was 3?109pfu/ml.Conclusions The recombinant adenovirus carrying rat VEGF was successfully constructed. The newly constructed adenovirus can produce a sufficiently high titration value within HEK293 cells, providing a reliable tool for genetic transfection in further gene therapy researches.

Cisplatin is effective in the treatment of various solid tumors. However, its clinical application is limited because of the severe side-effects such as nephrotoxicity, hepatotoxicity, ototoxicity and so on. Drug combination is advocated in clinics for synergism and detoxication. In order to provide some referencs for the research of drug combination and clinical treatment regimen, the research advances in the synergism and detoxication of drug combination of cisplatin with chemicals/ traditional Chinese medicines in recent years are reviewed in the paper.

Objective To study the biological exposure limit in bone metabolism damage caused by coexposure to fluorine and arsenic from coal burning in exposed population. Methods One hundred and ninety-eight cases of fluoride and arsenic co-exposed people from Liuchang village,Qinzhen city,Guizhou province were enrolled in the study.Urinary fluorine (UF),urinary arsenic (UAs),urinary hydroxyproline (UHYP),ross-linked Ntelopeptides of type Ⅰ collagen(UNTX) and bone strength index(STI) were detected.BMDS Version 2.1 software was used to calculate UF,UAs benchmark dose (BMD) and its lower confidence limit (BMDL) on the damage of bone metabolism caused by co-exposure to fluorine and arsenic from coal burning. Results The BMD and BMDL range of UF caused by co-exposure to fluorine and arsenic from coal burning were 0.68-1.35 mg/g Cr,0.57-1.11 mg/g Cr.The BMD and BMDL range of UAs caused by co-exposure to fluorine and arsenic from coal burning were 8.36-18.77 μg/g Cr,7.12-15.40 μg/g Cr.Conclusion The biological exposure limits of UF and UAs for bone metabolism toxicity are proposed as 0.57 mg/g Cr and 7.12 μg/g Cr in co-exposure to fluoride and arsenic from coal burning, respectively.
