Objective To elucidate the possibility of diagnosing BOO with urodynamic data with indefinite P F findings in patients with BPH. Methods Some urodynamic data besides the P F fin dings were studied in BPH patients,and these were compared between the BOO group and the non BOO group. Objective To investigate the status and requirement of knowledge of reproduction and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)/sexually transmited disease (STD) in pregnant adolescents with abortion in order to conduct proper interventions. Methods Two hundred and ninety-one unmarried pregnant adolescents below 22 years old with abortion completed questionnaires which involved the information on individual social-demographics characteristics, knowledge of reproduction, AIDS/STD and sex-related beliefs, attitudes and partners. Results Among these 291 adolescents, 37.7% experienced first sexual intercourse before 19 years old, 69.1% performed well in the knowledge of reproduction, and 62.6% and 43.5% did well in the knowledge of AIDS and the knowledge of the other STD, respectively. The rate of implementation of contraception was far less than that of awarenesss of contraception(P<0.05). These pregnant adolescents were not enthusiastic for seeking reproductive knowledge, and 45.0% would like to acquire the knowledge from professionals. Conclusion The knowledge of reproduction and AIDS/STD in the pregnant adolescents is not adequate, and they fail to carry out the proper behaviors of contraception. More education should be conducted on AIDS/STD prevention and contraception among pregnant adolescents.

Objective:To investigate the regulation of acupuncture on γ-interferon (INF-γ) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) of lung cancer-operative cases. Methods: to determine the INF-γ and TNF contents in the blood serum of lung cancer patients by double antibody sandwich immuno-enzymatic method (ELISA); to measure the INF-γ and TNF contents of 30 lung cancer patients in the acupuncture anesthesia group and 30 lung cancer patients in general anesthesia group before the operation and at the 8th days, the 12th day after the operation respectively and make comparison between the two groups. Results:The pre-operation INF-γ contents of the two groups showed no significant difference (P＞0.05); the post-operation INF-γ contents of the two groups showed significant difference at 8th day and 12th day after the operation (P＜0.05); the acupuncture anesthesia group was superior to the general anesthesia group; the self-comparison of the anesthesia group showed significant difference at the 12th day and 8th day after the operation (P＜0.05); the pre-operation TNF contents of the two groups showed no significant difference (P＞0.05) and the post-operation TNF contents of the two groups showed significant difference at the 8th day and 12th day after the operation (P＜0.05). Conclusion:Acupuncture can increase the serum INF-γ and TNF contents of lung cancer patients and therefore regulate the immunity of the patients.

OBJECTIVETo observe the local tissue oxygenation in acupoint Zusanli (ST36) of patients in critical condition, and to assess the value of applying tissue oxygen measurement via acupoint in clinical practice.

METHODSThirty-six patients with severe illness undergoing invasive positive pressure ventilation (IPPV) were divided into the infected group (n=13) and the non-infected group (n=23). Tissue oxygen pressure (PtO2) in the right acupoint Zusanli was measured with tissue oxygen tension detector when the concentration of inspired oxygen (FiO2) was 40% and 100% respectively, meanwhile, the arterial blood oxygen pressure (PaO2) was also determined to calculate PtO2 index (the ratio of PtO2/PaO2).

RESULTSThere was a positive correlation between PtO2 and PaO2 (P < 0.05); PaO2 in the infected group was lower, and PtO2 index and PtO2 were higher significantly, as compared with those in the non-infected group (all P < 0.05). As FiO2 adjusted from 40% to 100%, the increment of PtO2 in the infected group was significantly higher than that in the non-infected group (P < 0.05).

CONCLUSIONFor the severely infected patients with obstacle of systemic oxygen delivery, the local tissue oxygen demand of acupoints increases significantly, and the tissue oxygen delivery dependence is enhanced, in this time, the tissue might fulfill the oxygen demand itself through elevating PtO2 index. It is of great significance to monitor tissue oxygen pressure in acupoint to determine the state of local tissue oxygenation in critically illed patients.

Objective To explore the relationship between the serum level of E-selectin and S128R polymorphisms in the exon 4 of E-selectin gene and acute myocardial infarction (AMI) in local Han peoples. Method The genotype of E-selectin were detected by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) method in 168 patients with acute myocardial infarction and 200 healthy controls,and the serum level of E-selectin was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results There was significant difference in frequencies of allele and genotype in S128R polymorphism between acute myocardial infarction and control groups respectively,The relative risk suffered from acute myocardial infarction of SS genotype was 2.234 times of the SR genotype (OR=2.234,95% CI:1.112～4.437),The serum E-selectin level was significantly higher among carriers of SR genotype as compared with SS genotype (41.65?8.87)?g/L vs (34.23?6.72)?g/L,P
