Three Gram-negative bacteria from commercial fresh fish were identified as Pseudomonas sp.,an important food spoilage bacteria, on the basis of 16S rDNA sequences.N-aeyl-homoserine lactones (AHLs) were the important quorum sensing molecules and regulated the expression of many characteristics in a cell-density-dependent manner in Gram-negative bacteria.The AHL biosensor detection revealed that three isolates produced AHLs molecules and strains FML05-1 and FML05-2 produced two types of AHLs at least and the main signal mole- cules were N-3-oxo-octanoyl-homoserine lactone(N-3-oxo-C_8-AHL).ALso the amount of AHL in FML05-2 reached to the maximum at 12h throughout growth.This was first study of quorum sensing signal molecule AHLs produced by the pseudomonas from food and layed the foun- dation for new strategies of food preservation based on interfering in quorum sensing of spoilage bacteria.

7.5). Overall,the research demonstrates the effect of environmental parameters (temperature and carbon source) on AHL profile production by food-derived Pseudomonas. Objective : To investigate the incidence of suspected adverse events following immunization(AEFI) in Chongchuan District, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province from 2008 to 2022, so as to provide insights into safety assessment of vaccines. Methods: The data on AEFI surveillance in Chongchuan District from 2008 to 2022 were collected through the National Immunization Program Information Management System of China, including demographics, history of vaccination, laboratory tests, incidence of AEFI and clinical characteristics. The epidemiological, clinical characteristics and reported incidence of AEFI were analyzed in Chongchuan District from 2008 to 2022 using a descriptive epidemiological method. Results: The reported incidence of AEFI in Chongchuan District from 2008 to 2022 appeared a tendency towards a decline (P<0.05), and the annual average reported incidence was 50.85/105. The incidence of AEFI associated with vaccines included in the national immunization program was significantly higher than that caused by vaccines that were not included in the national immunization program (74.67/105 vs. 20.35/105, P<0.05). General reaction was the predominant type of AEFI (1 937 cases, 44.21/105), and there were 274 cases with abnormal reactions (6.25/105) and 17 cases with coincident syndromes (0.39/105); however, no vaccine quality or vaccination accidents occurred. A high incidence rate was seen in AEFI associated with vaccines administered by subcutaneous (75.05/105) and intramuscular injection (47.40/105), and a low incidence rate was found in AEFI associated with vaccines administered orally (16.41/105). The five highest reported incidence rates of AEFI were found for the combined diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, poliovirus and Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine (312.01/105), 7-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide-protein conjugate vaccine (292.14/105), inactivated Japanese encephalitis vaccine (248.37/105), Group ACYW135 meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine (240.67/105) and combined live vaccine for measles and rubella (229.31/105). The general reactions mainly included fever, redness and swelling and induration (1 878 cases, 96.95%), and abnormal reactions mainly included allergic skin rash (241 cases, 87.96%). In addition, 91.34% of AEFI occurred within 24 hours after vaccination, and 99.73% of cases with AEFI were cured during the 3-month follow-up. Conclusions The reported incidence of AEFI appeared a tendency towards a decline in Chongchuan District from 2008 to 2022. General reaction was the predominant type of AEFI, and all AEFI showed a good prognosis. The safety of vaccines was high in Chongchuan District from 2008 to 2022.

Objective To find out the causes of the failure of the replanted finger and to increase the survival rate of replantation.Methods The trauma,operation condition and nursing care after operation of the 24 failure cas- es of 31 replantation of severed fingers that have been treated in this hospital from January 1999 to December 2006 were retrospectively analyzed.Results Of the 31 necrotic fingers,there were 21 necrotic fingers caused by untimely treatment of vascular articulo,7 by infection,1 by smoking and 2 by uncooperative treatment because of out-of-bed activity.There were 9 replantation of fingers loss of blood supply in one day,12 fingers from one day to three days, 8 fingers from four days to seven days,2 fingers more than nine days.Conclusion The operation indication should be strictly mastered.There should be a complete debridement and haemostasis during the operation,the quality of vascular anastomose should be improved and the pressure of the anastomosing vascular should be avoided.Strict ob- servation after operation,intensive nursing and timely treatment of vascular articulo are the key factors for improving the survival rate of replantation of severed finger.

Malignant tumor is one of the main causes for death in the world at present as well as a major disease seriously harming human health and life and restricting the social and economic development. There are many kinds of reports about traditional Chinese medicine patent prescriptions, empirical prescriptions and self-made prescriptions treating cancer, and prescription rules were often analyzed based on medication frequency. Such methods were applicable for discovering dominant experience but hard to have an innovative discovery and knowledge. In this paper, based on the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance assistance system, the software integration of mutual information improvement method, complex system entropy clustering and unsupervised entropy-level clustering data mining methods was adopted to analyze the rules of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions for cancer. Totally 114 prescriptions were selected, the frequency of herbs in prescription was determined, and 85 core combinations and 13 new prescriptions were indentified. The traditional Chinese medicine inheritance assistance system, as a valuable traditional Chinese medicine research-supporting tool, can be used to record, manage, inquire and analyze prescription data.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the regulation of Toll-like receptors (TLRs) on immune suppressive cytokines in situ colon cancer cells.

METHODSThe mRNA and protein expression spectrum of TLRs in HT-29 cells were determined by RT-PCR and Western blot respectively. The cytokines and chemokines levels of supernant of HT-29 stimulated by lipoplysaccharide(LPS) were detected with ELISA.

RESULTSTLR1-9 were expressed in HT-29 cells on mRNA level. After LPS stimulation, TLR4 mRNA and protein expressions were up-regulated in HT-29 cells, and TGF-beta, VEGF, IL-8, CCL20 and IL-6 levels increased significantly(all P<0.01). Except IL-6, up-regulation of the other cytokines was not suppressed by NF-kappa B inhibitor.

CONCLUSIONTLRs expressed on colon cancer cells may elevate the immune suppressive cytokines and chemokines, which promote the immune escape of cancer cells.
