Objective To compare the sensitivity and specificity of mucin 7(Muc7) mRNA test with urine cytology in detection bladder cancer.Methods In 86 patients suspected with bladder cancer,RT-PCR for Muc7 mRNA and urine cytology were conducted in the same urine samples.Fif-ty-two patients with bladder transitional cell carcinoma were confirmed histologically.The sensitivity and specificity of Muc7 mRNA and urine cytology were analyzed.Results The overall sensitivity,specificity and false positive of Mue7 mRNA test were 84.6%,85.2% and 14.7% respectively.Those of urine cytology were 34.6%,91.2% and 8.8% respectively.There were no significant differences between urine cytology and Muc7 mRNA test in the specificity and false positive; however,Muc7 mRNA had significantly higher sensitivity than urine cytology in detection of bladder cancer.Conclusion The sensitivity of Muc7 mRNA test is superior to urine cytology in detection of bladder cancer.

To explore the measures of nursing management in the treatment of large number of infants with urinary calculi. The nursing management measures included launching the preparedness and response project for sudden public health events, formulating scientific and standardized nursing management system,optimizing work flow,strengthening nurse training,focusing on the details in nursing management,implementing disinfection and isolation system seriously,and paying close attention to health education for the parents of minority infants. Scientific nursing management can ensure the treatment effectiveness and nursing safety for the infants with urinary calculi.

Objective To investigate the expression and biological significance of microRNA-126 in colon cancer tissue.Methods The expression of microRNA-126 in colon cancer tissues and adjacent tissues of colon cancer patients was detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in 104 patients with colon cancer surgery (total of 104 pairs).The lentiviral vector was used to construct microRNA-126 cell line,and the effects of microRNA-126 on proliferation,migration and invasion of colon cancer cells were further studied in vitro.Results The relative expression of microRNA-126 in colon cancer tissues (0.63±0.11) was significantly lower than that in adjacent tissues (1.08±0.15),the difference was statistically significant(t=14.561,P＜0.01).The positive rate of microRNA-126 expression in colon cancer tissues (61.5％) was significantly lower than that in adjacent cancer tissues (86.5 ％) the difference was statistically significant(x2=16.908,P＜0.05).The expression of microRNA-126 was significantly correlated with Dukes stage,depth of invasion,lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis (P＜0.05).In the Transwell experiment with matrix glue,the number of cell migration in transfection group (11.26±4.85) was significantly lower than that in blank control group (264.37±32.15),the difference was statistically significant (t=23.418,P＜0.01).In the Transwell experiment without matrix glue,the number of cell migration in transfection group (83.75 ± 13.74) was significantly lower than that in blank control group (339.64 ± 26.38),the difference was statistically significant(t=12.682,P＜0.01).MicroRNA-126 could inhibit the proliferation and invasion of SW480 cells.Conclusion MicroRNA-126 can significantly inhibit the development of colon cancer cells and affect the biological behavior of colon cancer cells.

Objective To observe the effect of Niaodu Qing Capsule(NQC) and its separated prescriptions on renal transforming growth factor ?1(TGF-?1)mRNA expression in rats with chronic renal failure(CRF).Methods SD rat models of CRF were induced by 5/6 nephrectomy,and then the CRF rats were randomized into model group,Huangqi(Radix Astragali,1.5 g?kg-1?d-1) group,Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae,1 g?kg-1?d-1) group,Dahuang(Radix et Rhizoma Rhei,1 g?kg-1?d-1) group,Huangqi Danshen Dahuang(1 g?kg-1?d-1) group,NQC group(1 g?kg-1?d-1).Except the model group,the rats in other groups received gastric gavage of corresponding medicine according to the experimental design.After treatment for six weeks,the levels of blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and serum creatinine(SCr) were detected,and the expression level of renal TGF-?1 mRNA was examined by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results The levels of BUN and SCr were decreased in the medicated groups(P

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of spiral stone dislodger combined with pneumatic lithotriptor under ureteroscopy for managing upper ureteral stones. Methods 106 patients with upper ureteral stones with spiral stone dislodger combined with pneumatic lithotriptor under ureteroscopy were treated. The transverse diameter of the stones was 4～12mm and the vertical length 6～15mm. Results 87.7% (93/106) stones were fragmented for one session of treatment. 8 cases were pushed upward then undergoing extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy(ESWL) after surgical operations. Operations in 5 cases had to be changed to open surgery,and ureteral perforations happened in 1 case. Conclusion Successful entrance of the uretersocop is a prerequisite for crushing the stone,appropriate fixation of the stone is the key to their crushing,spiral stone dislodger is an effective means of fixing ureteral stones.

The present study was aimed to investigate the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) on learning-memory of rats with low estrogen-induced cognitive impairment and the possible mechanism. The rat model was established by ovariectomy, which resulted in low estrogen-induced cognitive impairment. EA was applied continuously for 3 months 2 weeks after ovariectomy. Morris water maze was used to test the ability of spatial learning and memory. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and real-time quantitative RT-PCR were used to detect the concentration of serum estradiol (E2) and relative expression of choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) mRNA in hippocampus, respectively. The result showed that, compared with the sham group, the ovariectomy model group exhibited longer escape latency, reduced number of platform-crossing, lower concentration of serum E2, and decreased expression of ChAT mRNA in hippocampus. EA shortened the escape latency and increased the number of platform-crossing in the ovariectomy model group. Moreover, the concentration of serum E2 and the hippocampal expression of ChAT mRNA in the ovariectomy model group were significantly elevated by EA treatment. These results suggest EA is capable of improving learning and memory in ovariectomized rats, and the mechanism involves the up-regulation of the expression of ChAT mRNA in hippocampus induced by the increase of the serum concentration of estrogen.

Objiective To evaluate the effect of pearventricular device closure of non-muscular ventricular defercts(VSDs) in infants.Methods From April 2007 to February 2008,39 patients with non-muscular VSDs were received off pump surgical treatment,perventricular device closure were for all the patients.There were 16 males and 23 females with mean age of(14.5±7.8) months(12 to 36 months and mean weight of(12.4±2.3)kg(8.5 to 18.0 kg).There were 34 perimembranous and 5 subateria VSD.The diameter of defects were 3.0 to 11 mm[mean(6.1±2.0)mm].Results Thirty-seven(94.9%)VSDs ere successfully closed,while two were repaired under cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB)instead of device closure because of the complication of moderat aortic reurgitation.The diameter of occluders were 4 to 12mm[mean(8.2±2.0)mm].The tricuspid regurgitations decareasded after operation in 3 patients with perimenmbranous VSDs,while the closure caused new mild or trace tricuspid regurgitations in 8 patients.Six patients with perimembranours VSDs acquired the incomplete right bundle branch blocks affter device closure.The length of hospital stay was 3 to 5 days[mean(3.4±0.4)]after operation and no petient had blood transfusion.Conclustion Perventricular device closure is probably an effective and safe treatment for non-muscular VSDs in unfants.
