Objective To evaluate the effect of laparoscopy in treatment of renal cysts.Methods Twenty- eight and thirty-five patients with renal cysts were performed with transperituneal and retroperitonel laparoscopy,re- spectively.Results A total of 62 patients were treated successfully,the average operation time was 60 minutes,no complications presented,and there was no recurrence in follow-up.Conclusion Laparoseopy survey had the advan- tages of less trauma and fewer complications and rapid recovery in treatment of renal cysts,which was suggested for clinical applications.

Objective To investigate the prevention and treatment of biliary cardiac reflex in the interventional treatment of obstructive jaundice.Methods Totally 600 patients with obstructive jaundice were selected and divided into group A (without any preventive measures) and group B (with prevention and treatment,injection of atropine),and each group had 300 cases.The incidence of biliary cardiac reflex was observed in two groups.The relationship between the incidence of biliary cardiac reflex and gender,age,ECG abnormalities were analyzed in both groups.The timing of biliary cardiac reflex in interventional surgery was observed.Results The incidence of biliary cardiac reflex in group A was 30.67％ (92/300),which was significantly higher than that in group B (22/300,7.33 ％),and the difference was statistically significant (x2 =53.06,P＜0.05).But there was no significant difference between group A (4/300,1.33％) and group B (0) in the incidence of severe biliary cardiac reflex (x2 =0.45,P＞0.05).The incidence of biliary cardiac reflex in both groups was not associated with gender (both Φ=0.022,P＞0.05),but the incidence of biliary cardiac reflex in both groups was positively correlated with age and ECG abnormalities (Φage =0.593,0.229,ΦEcG =0.508,0.216,all P＜0.05).The incidence of biliary cardiac reflex was the highest in the balloon catheter on the stenosis or occlusion of the expansion in group A (55.43％,51/92) and group B (63.64％,14/22),which were higher than those of in puncture and angiography (all P＜0.05).Conclusion Preoperative injection of atropine can effectively prevent the occurrence of biliary cardiac reflex in interventional therapy,meanwhile the patients' own conditions are still need to be attention.

Objective To compare two different revascularization methods in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with multivessel coronary artery disease treated by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and coronary artery bypass graft ( CABG) .Methods T2DM patients with multivessel disease undergoing success-ful PCI or CABG were enrolled in the study .They were diagnosed by coronary angiography ( CAG) in Tianjin Chest Hospital from May 2009 to May 2010 whose.The patients were followed up for 3 years.The information of patients including physical performance , clinical features , and laboratory examination results were collected .The major ad-verse cardio cerebral events(MACCE)including death, myocardial infarction(MI), revascularization, angina pecto-ris, heart failure, and stroke were collected.Results During the 3 years of follow-up, MACCE(31.58% vs 17.68%, P<0.01), death(4.82%vs 1.10%, P<0.05), MI(4.39%vs 1.10%, P<0.05), angina pectoris (17.27%vs 10.50%, P<0.05)occurred more frequently in PCI group than in CABG group .Conclusion Evi-dences now tend to support CABG for revascularization in T 2DM patients with multivessel disease .

In order to change the situations such as students’passivity and low enthusiasm in the traditional experimental teaching of Microbiology and improve students’comprehensive qualities,exploration and attempt on experimental teaching reforms including teaching contents,teaching modes,laboratory management and evaluation system of examination were done.Teaching practices showed that the normalized ex- periment syllabus based on the correct orientation of experimental teaching of Microbiology,the actualization of teaching mode of basic skill training-integrated experiment-designed experiment and the management of opening laboratory were effective measures in improving experimental teaching of Microbiology.

AIM: To investigate the effect of glomerular intercellular interaction under high glucose concentration on the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and transforming growth factor ?_1 (TGF-?_1) in co-cultured human ECV304 cells, and to study the intervention with tea polyphenols (TPs). METHODS: The endothelial cells were cultured alone or co-cultured with mesangial cells in high glucose media with or without TPs for 0 h, 12 h and 36 h, respectively. The activity of SOD and the content of MDA in the media of the system were detected by spectrophotometry. The expression of TGF-?_1 mRNA in the endothelial cells was measured by using semi-quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR). RESULTS: High glucose decreased the activity of SOD, increased the content of MDA and up-regulated the expression of TGF-?_1 mRNA in co-cultured ECV304 cells and the effect became more prominent than the single-cultured cells. TPs interrupted it more effectively. CONCLUSION: These data suggest that there is interaction between mesangial cells and ECV304 cells under high glucose concentration. The interaction may markedly up-regulate the production of ROS and the expression of TGF-?_1 in co-cultured ECV304 cells. TPs may protect ECV304 cells by intervening intercellular interaction.

Objective To study metabolism of polyunsantured fatty acid (PUFA) and to investigate the relationship between different PUFA compositions and △6 desaturase (D6D) activity in colorectal carcinoma (CRC).Methods Fresh frozen malignant CRC tissues were obtained from 61 patients and blood samples were detected in 38 patients.The PUFA composition in these samples was determined by gas-liquid chromatography on a capillary column.The fatty acid product-to-precursor ratios in blood and tissue as estimates of desaturase activity (D6D activity index),and its relationship with the ratios between different PUFA compositions were investigated.Results Metabolism of ω-6 PUFA dominated in PUFA metabolism path.The ratio of ω-6/ω-3 PUFA was 4.89 in blood samples and 10.15 in tissues.The ratio of LA/ALA was 101.92 in blood samples and 86.16 in tissues.The ratio of ω-6/ω-3 LC-PUFA was 2.86 in blood samples and 4.51 in tissues.The D6D activity index in ω-6 PUFA metabolic processes both in tissues (t =1 1.609,P =0.00) and blood samples (t =-9.151,P =0.00) were higher than that in ω-3 PUFA.Conclusion In colorectal carcinoma,the ω-6 PUFA metabolic not only plays an important role in the metabolism of PUFA,but also is more active than the ω-3 PUFA metabolic,and in some way links to the development of tumorigenesis in CRC.

Objective To observe the effect of polyethylene terephthalates (PET) coated with 58S bioactive glass on graft-bone healing.Methods The PET coated with 58S bioactive glass was used in experimental group,and uncoated PET was used as a control.The coating solution was made of 20％ bioactive glass powder and 80％ gelatin powder (by weight).In our vitro study,4×104/ml MT3T3-E1 cells were cultured in 24-well plates with the coated or uncoated PET,and the MTT and ALP were tested at 1,3,5 days to show the proliferation and the activity of the cells.The SEM and the X-ray photoelectron spectrometer were adopted to analyze the surface characteristics of the fiber.In our vivo study,24 skeletally mature New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into two groups,the 58S-PET group and the PET group.Both groups underwent a surgical procedure to establish a tibia-articular tendon-bone healing model.Mechanical examination and histological assay were taken to verify the coating effect in vivo.Results The 58S-PET group showed significantly differences in both the MTT and ALP tests at each time point (3,5 days) compared with the PET group.In the animal experiments,the maximum load increased by time in both groups.At 6 weeks,the load-to-failure was significantly higher in the 58S-PET group [(61.70±6.95) N]than that of the PET group [(45.21±9.78) N].At 12 weeks,the load-to-failure was also significantly higher in the 58S-PET group [(89.25±9.50) N]than that of the PET group [(71.38±6.26) N].In the histological assay,it was found that there was new bone formation in the indistinct interface between the graft and the host bone in both groups at 6,12 weeks,and a stronger binding was seen in the 58S-PET group than in the PET group.Conclusion The 58S-PET could enhance the proliferation and activity of the osteoblast and therefore promote the new bone formation and subsequently leads to a positive effect on tendon-bone healing.

Purpose:To find a valuable index for the qualitative diagnosis of renal tumor by color doppleranalysis. Methods :The arteriorenal blood flow of 32 patients with renal tumor and 30 healthy person were inves-tigated by color doppler analysis. Results:The arteriorenal systolie peak flow velocity of malignant tumor groupwas higher than that of the benign tumor group and the control group ( P ＜0. 01 ); but the resistance index of themalignant tumor group was lower than that of the other two groups ( P ＜0.01). There was no significant differ-ence between the benign tumor group and the control group in arteriorenal peak flow velocity and resistance in-dex. Conclusions :The increase of arteriorenal systolie peak flow velocity and the decrease of resistance index wereconsidered to be a valuable index for the qualitative diagnosis of malignant renal tumor.
