OBJECTIVE:To explore consumers’perceptions for pharmaceutical care by community pharmacist when purchas-ing OTC drugs. METHODS:Semi-structured interview was conducted for 100 consumers who were recruited in Xingqing District, Jinfeng District and Xixia District of Yinchuan,Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,their expection for pharmaceutical care by com-munity pharmacists was summarized. RESULTS:Totally 100 residents were interriewed,and 97 completed a full interview with ef-fective interview rate of 97%. Consumers still did not clearly on distinguishing the OTC drugs. The majority of consumers chosen OTC drugs were based on experience and brand,a handful of consumers were under the guidance of community pharmacists. Con-sumers were most concerned about the efficacy,adverse reactions and drug quality in using OTC drugs. Most consumers were not satisfied with the pharmaceutical care in purchasing OTC drugs. Nevertheless,due to a lack of medicine knowledge,consumer had a great demand for pharmaceutical care and willingness to accept it. Low professional level of community pharmacist and staff in current community pharmacy and lack of effective communication between pharmacist and consumer were the obstacles of develop-ing pharmaceutical care. CONCLUSIONS:Because of their distrust on competence of community pharmacist,consumers seek less pharmaceutical care of OTC drugs at community pharmacy though they had expectations on pharmaceutical care of OTC drugs by community pharmacist. Consumers’rely on self-choice of drugs make them exposed to more drug risks.

【Objective】 The study was carried out to investigate t he effects of estradiol(E2), follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) and progestero ne(P) on the proliferation of ovarian cancer cell line H0-8910 in vitro. 【 Method】 Cultivating human ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma cell line H0-8910 in vitro, comparing cell numbers using MTT method, flow cytometry detecting cell cycle. 【Results】 After incubation with 10-12 mol/L E2 or 10 μg/L FSH for 48 hours, cell proliferation increased significantly. E2 and FSH increased th e cells percentage in Sphase and G2/M phase of cell cycle respectively P could inhibit H0-8910 cells growth significantly in a dose-dependent manner. 【Conc lusion】 It is suggested that E2 and FSH can stimulate the proliferation of ov arian cancer cell, P can inhibit cell growth.

Objective To cleave double-stranded RNA(dsRNA) into small interference RNAs(siRNAs) that can target multiple sites within an mRNA.Methods A549 cells were isolated to incubate with 5 g/L IL-1? for different times to detect the time-dependent expression of COX-2.To generate the long dsRNA,the COX-2 gene(728 bp) was amplified by PCR with a specific forward primer that contained a T7 promoter and a specific reverse primer that contained an SP6 promoter.Then,sense strand RNAs were generated by T7 RNA polymerase and antisense strands RNAs were generated by SP6 RNA polymerase.These single strands RNAs were annealed by the standard method.We mixed dsRNA with Dicer in reaction buffer.We recovered siRNAs using RNA Purification Column.Transfections with diced siRNAs were performed using the TransMessenger Transfection Reagent in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.COX-2 mRNA and protein were determined by RT-PCR and Western blot respectively.PGE2 was measured by ELISA.Results IL-1? induced COX-2 protein expression in A549 cells.We recovered siRNAS that have been generated in vitro by Dicer.D-siRNAs significantly suppress the expression of COX-2 in human pulmonary epithelial.Conclusion D-siRNAs significantly suppress the expression of COX-2 in human pulmonary epithelial.

Objective To analyze the current situation of voluntary counseling and testing(VCT) and improve HIV/AIDS prevention and control in Jiangxi province.Method VCT services in the province were analyzed using descriptive methodology.Result The province is in shortage of full time VCT workers.Of the individuals receiving pre-testing counseling,those receiving post-testing counseling and receiving referral counseling accounted for 5.22% and 1.39%,respectively.The individuals receiving tests mostly were aged 20-29 years,and a little less were aged 30-39 years.Higher positive rates of HIV screening tests were found in Pingxiang and Nanchang cities,accounting for 39.13% and 26.09%,respectively.Conclusion To improve VCT service and contain the spread of HIV/AIDS in this province,it is necessary to establish VCT networks,upgrade quality of counseling service and publicize VCT and its outreach activities among target population.

Objective To determine the role of double stapling technique(DST) in anus-saving operations for lower rectal cancer. Methods The clinical data of 96 patients with lower rectal carcinoma treated by DST were analyzed retrospectively. Results There were 63 males and 33 females,aged from 22 to 84 (an average of 57.7 yesars). The distance from the lower end to dens line was 4～7cm.Dukes classfication: 24 patients belonged to A class, 30 B class, 30 C class,and 12 D class. Histological type: 47patients had high differentiation adenocarcinoma, 27 median differentiation adenocarcinoma, 17 low differentiation adenocarcinoma,and 5 mucous adenocarcinoma. No one died after the operation but 12 had anastomotic leakage(12.5%)postoperatively and all healed after treatment; 5 patients had anastomotic constriction(5.2%)postoperatively and all healed with expanding anus. Conclusions DST is a safe alternation for anus-saving operation for patients with rectal cancer.Conservative therapy is effective in the treatment of anastomotic constriction and anastomotic leakage.
