Objective To study the changes of cerebral haemodynamics in neonates with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy(HIE) treated with Shengmai injection compared with citicoline, and explore the clinical interventions of Shengmai injection on HIE.Methods Fifty patients with HIE were randomized into 2 groups: shengmai group treated with Shengmai injection(n=30),and citicoline group treated with citicoline(n=20).The haemodynamic parameters included peak systolic flow velocity(PSFV),end-diastolic flow velocity(EDFV),pulsation index(PI) and resistance index(RI) of anterior and middle cerebral artery were detected by color Doppler ultrasound before treatment and on 7~(th) day after treatment respectively.Control group(n=50) compared with the two groups. Results PSFV,PDFV and RI of HIE patients were significantly lower than those of control group(P

Objective To investigate the relapse risk assessment for patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia(APL)through testing PML-RAR? fusion gene by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RQ-PCR).Methods Relative copies of PML-RAR? fusion gene were measured in 25 patients with APL in phases of first diagnosis, complete remission(CR)and relapse. The minimal residual disease(MRD)situations were also monitored in 6 of the 25 patients. Results Different PML-RAR? fusion gene expression levels were observed in patient groups of different phases of the disease.(P

A dispute about the decreasing-price problem of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has recently arisen. This article analyzes the statistical data of 1995-2011 in China, the results showed that the main responsibility of expensive health care has no direct relationship with the drug price. The price index of TCM rose significantly slower than the medicine prices, the production margins of TCM affected by the material prices has been diminishing since 1995, continuous price reduction will further depress profits of the TCM industry. Considering the pros and cons of raw materials vary greatly in price, decreasing medicine price behavior will force enterprises to use inferior materials in order to maintain corporate profits. The results have the guiding meaning to medicine price management.

Objective To observe the pathological infrastructure changes of lung tissue in diabetic rat with pulmonary fibrosis and the preventive effect of rosiglitazone intervention. Methods The experimental type 2 diabetic rats were yielded by high-sugar, high fat diet plus intraperitoneal injecting streptozotocin (STZ). The pathological infrastructure changes of lung tissue were observed by transmission electron microscopy in the control, diabetes mellitus group and rosiglitazone treatment group respectively, and the hydroxyproline contentswere determined simultaneously. Results We observed accumulation of collagen fibers and extracellular matrix in the lung tissue of simple diabetic rat, which indicated pulmonary fibrosis. The hydroxyproline contents were significantly higher in diatetes mellitus group when compared to the control at 12 weeks[ 0. 77 ± 0. 03μg/(mg·prot) vs.0.63 ±0.03 μg/(mg·prot)] and 20 weeks [0.93 ±0. 10 μg/(mg·prot) vs.0.87 ±0.10μg/ (mg·prot) ]. (Ps < 0.05) , but the rosiglitazone intervention significantly reduced the hydroxyproline 3contents in diabetes mellitus rats [0.85 ±0.08 μg/(mg·prot) vs.0.87 ±0. 10 μg/(mg·prot) ,P<0.05].Conclusion Pulmonary fibrosis occurred in diabetic rats lung tissue, while rosiglitazone can alleviate it.

Ergosterol is the important component of the fungal membrane, and having stable structure. This makes it a suitable indicator for growth of fungi. In the paper, isolation and determination techniques of ergosterol as the indicator of the fungal biomass were reviewed. The methods of extracting ergosterol include traditional saponification and refluxing, rapid physical disruption, rapid ultrasonication, supercritical fluid extraction and so on. The ergosterol determination methods are high performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, and thin-layer chromatography, et al. The application of these techniques was also introduced. Finally, the paper prospected the feasibility of applying the ergosterol as the indicator of fungal biomass in composting.

In order to find an easy and rapid quantitative analytical method to detect rhamnolipid produced by Pseudomonas aeruginosa, three methods, H_ 2 SO_ 4 -anthrone analysis method, L-cysteine-H_ 2 SO_ 4 method and phenol-H_ 2 SO_ 4 method, were compared in the present paper, and the influence factors were also considered. The results showed that H_ 2 SO_ 4 -Anthrone analysis method was better than the others and its optimal reaction condition was obtained. The influence to the quantitative analysis of rhamnolipid from the residual glucose and the top clean liquid layer in the ferment solution could be ignored. But the influence from the bacterial body and the middle layer of the ferment solution reached a certain degree. Thus, the bacterial body should be removed before measuring. However, the influence from the middle layer of the ferment solution could be avoided by making a standard curve which was made by using a rhamnose mixed with the middle layer ferment solution.

Objective To study the changes of serum level of high mobility group box-1(HMGB- 1)in patients with multiple trauma in order to forecast organ dysfunction(OD)and deaths. Methods The optical densities of HMGB-1 in serum of 35 patients with multiple trauma were determined on 1st,3rd, and 7th days after trauma, and the incidence of organ dysfunction and deaths were evaluated, then analyzed statistically to learn the relation between the serum levels of HMGB-1 and deaths with an attempt of predic- ting the incident of organ dysfunction and deaths. Results (1)As OD was concerned, there was a statis- tically significant difference in optical density of HMGB-1 on 1st and 3rd days between the two groups of multiple injury patients(t=4.411,P
