Objective To study the clinical value of 64-slice spiral computed tomography(64SCT) contrast-enhanced scan and three-dimensional reconstructed techniques in the diagnosis of complex congenital heart disease(CCHD). Methods 39 patients with CCHD underwent CT angiography and transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE). Of them, the electrocardiographic-gating technique was used in 8 cases. The accurate rates in diagnosing CCHD with CT, TTE and CT with or without electrocardiographic-gating were analysed compared with that of operation and χ~2 test using SPSS13.0 tool. Results A total of 102 cardiac deformities con-firmed by operations, those included 47 intracardiac deformities, the diagnostic accuracys with CT and TTE were 85.1% and 95.7%, respectively, and there was no obvious difference among them (χ~2=2.68, P>0.05). 55 extracardiac deformities, the definite diagnos-tic rates with CT and TTE were 98.2% and 78.2%, respectively. CT was superior to TTE in the indentification of extracardiac de-formities(χ~2= 14.64 ,P<0.01). There was no obvious difference between with and without electrocardiographic-gating technique during CT scanning in diagnosis of cardiac deformities(χ~2=1.84, P>0.05). Conclusion 64SCT has significant value in diagnosis of CCHD,and there was no obvious difference in diagnosis of cardiac deformities by 64SCT between with and without electrocardio-graphic-gating technic.

OBJECTIVETo explore the molecule mechanism of Salidroside inducing directional differentiation of mouse mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into neuronal cells.
METHODSThe mouse multipotent mesenchymal precursor cell line (D1) was taken as the objective. Cultured MSCs were divided into the negative control group (complete culture solution), the positive control group (containing 1 mmol/L β-mercaptoethanol), the Salidroside induced group (20 mg/L Salidroside), and the blocked group (20 ng/ ml DKK1, a special inhibitor of Wnt/β-catenin signal pathway). All cells were inoculated in a 6-well plate (1 x 10(4) cells/cm2) and grouped for 24 h. The expression of p-catenin was detected by fluorescence Immunochemistry in the negative control group, the positive control group, and the Salidroside induced group. The expression of neuron-specific enolase (NSE), beta 3 class III tubulin (β-tubulin III), nuclear receptor related factor 1 (Nurr1), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) mRNA, Wnt3a, β-catenin, low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein6 (LRP6), Axin mRNA were detected using reverse transcrip- tion PCR (RT-PCR). The expression of β-catenin and NSE protein were analyzed by Western blot in the negative control group, the positive control group, and the Salidroside induced group. Ca2+ chelating agents (EGTA), L-type Ca2+ channel blocker (Nifedpine), and IP3Ks special inhibitor (LY294002) were used to block Ca2+ signal pathway respectively. The expression of Wnt3a, LRP-6, Axin, glycogen syn- thase kinase (GSK-3), and β-catenin mRNA were detected by RT-PCR. The β-catenin protein expression was analyzed using Western blot.
RESULTSCompared with the positive control group, β-catenin protein was strong positively expressed; the expression of Wnt3a, β-catenin, LRP6, Axin, NSE, β-tubulin III, Nurr1 mRNA, and NSE protein were obviously up-regulated in the Salidroside induced group (P < 0.01). Compared with the positive control group and the Salidroside induced group, β-catenin, NSE, Nurr1, and β-tubulin III mRNA expression decreased; β-catenin and NSE protein expression were also down-regulated in the blocked group (P < 0.01). Compared with the Salidroside induced group, the expression of Wnt3a, LRP-6, β-catenin, and Axin mRNA were down-regulated in the Ca2+ signal blocked group and the salidroside induced group (P < 0.01, P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONSalidroside affected directional differentia- tion of MSCs into neuronal cells through Wnt/β-catenin and Ca2+ signal pathway.

Objective To evaluate the techniques and application of 64-slice helical CT colonography in colonic lesions. Methods Thirty-eight patients (including 12 colonic carcinomas,10 polypi, 9 colon multiple scrobiculus, 2 multiple diverticula, 2 negative, 1 congenital bowel malrotaion,1 ulcerative colitis and tunica mucosa glandular organ hyperplasy,1 colocolic anastomosis of terminal ileum and sigmoid colon) underwent volume scanning using 64-slice helical CT after cleaning colon. Six types of reconstruction including CT virtual colonoscopy(CTVC), volume rendering(VR), multiple planar reconstruction(MPR), 360?sectional view, RaySum,and navigation were gained.CTVC appearances were compared with that of conventional colonoscopy(CC).Results In 12 colonic carcinomas and 10 polypi, the lesions’ morphology, number, size, were satisfactorily shown by CTVC. The lesions’ location, range, and 1 intestinal canal obviously stenosis were also exactly shown by RaySum.The relationship between tumor and environment, 3 liver or retroperitoneal lymph node metastasis were satisfactorily shown by MPR and 2D transection image. On 360?sectional view, the distance between tumor and anus was exactly measured and the result was in conformity to that of CC. Of the CTVC appearances,1 sigmoid carcinoma and 1 transverse colon polyp was in unconformity to that of CC;1 ulcerative colitis and descending colon carcinoma was diagnosed as ulcerative colitis and tunica mucosa glandular organ hyperplasy by pathology. Conclusion 64-slice helical CT is a valuable imaging technique for detecting colon diseases. CTVC can obtain more clinical information than CC combining MPR,RaySum and VR.

BACKGROUND:As one of the most serious pathological types of lumbar disc herniation, the nucleus pulposus of prolapsed style lumbar intervertebral disc herniation is like a cord or mass. And the nucleus pulposus compresses nerve roots and dural sac, which brings severe low back pain and/or cauda equina injury symptoms.OBJECTIVE:To compare the clinical efficacy of simple discectomy under the Quadrant system and minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody Concorde fusion (MIS-TLIF) in the treatment of prolapsed and sequestrated lumbar disc herniation.METHODS:From January 2012 to January 2015, 58 patients with prolapsed and sequestrated lumbar disc herniation were enrolled in this study, including 36 patients in simple Quadrant group and 22 patients in MIS-TLIF group.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Significant difference was recorded in the visual analogue scale scores and Oswestry disability index at 1 week, 3 months and 18 months postoperation compared with preoperation in the two groups (P < 0.05). Compared with the simple Quadrant group, the visual analogue scale scores of low back pain and Oswestry disability index were significantly decreased in the MIS-TLIF group at postoperative 18 months (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference in the visual analogue scale score of leg pain between two groups (P > 0.05). There were two patients with recurrent lumbar disc herniation in the simple Quadrant group. In summary, simple discectomy under the Quadrant system could achieve the similar satisfied effect as the MIS-TLIF, but the MIS-TLIF provides less low back pain.
