Objective To investigate the characteristics of P3a and P3b which are the subcomponents of P300 event-related potential in patients with vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) ,and to investigate the relations between P3a,P3b and the changes of cognitive function and cerebral blood flow. Methods Thirty patients with VCI and twenty two normal subjects were tested for P3a and P3b cognitive function ischemic focus and cerebral blood flow and then analyzed for correlation. Results (1) The latency of P3a ((446 ± 71) ms, (429 ± 67) ms, (446±61)ms,(428±66)ms)and P3b((496 ±73)ms,(478 ±75)ms,(498 ±77)ms,(483 ±77)ms) was significantly prolonged in patients with VCI compared with that in normal subjects in all recorded regions(P<0.01) . The amplitude of P3a in patients with VCI ((3.3 ±2.6)μV,(3.3 ± 1.8)μV) was significantly lower than that in normal subjects in Fz and Pz (P<0.01) ,and the amplitude of P3b in patients with VCI((4.5 ±2.5)μV,(6.4 ± 3.8)μV,(5.3 ±3.8)μV,(5. 3 ±3.0)μV) was significantly lower than that in normal subjects in all recorded regions (P < 0.01 or P<0.05) . (2) The latency of P3a and P3b in patients with VCI was negatively related to the scores of sub items of attention and MMSE total scores (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01), the amplitude of P3a was positively related to the scores of MMSE total scores(P<0.05) ,the amplitude of P3b was positively related to the scores of attention and MMSE total scores(P<0.05). (3) The latency of P3a in patients with VCI was positively related to frontal lobe(P<0.05) ,and the latency of P3b was positively related to parietal lobe(P<0.05). (4) The latency of P3a in patients with VCI was positively related to RILMCA,RILACA and RIRACA(P<0.05 orP<0.01) ,the latency of P3b was positively related to RILMCA,RIRMCA and RIRACA(P<0.05 orP<0.01) ,and the amplitude of P3a was positively related to RILACA(P<0.01). Conclusion P3a and P3b are good objective indexes for testing the descent of cognitive function in patients with VCI,which can provide reference basis for the clinical diagnosis.

AIM: To establish the quality standard of Huoxuejiangu Capsules (Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Radix Astragali seu Hedysari, Rhizoma Corydalis, Fructus Psoraleae, etc.). METHODS: Radix Astragali, Rhizoma Corydalis, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Fructus Psoraleae were identified by TLC. The content of tanshinone Ⅱ A was determined by HPLC. RESULTS: Radix Astragali, Rhizoma Corydalis, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Fructus Psoraleae could be dtected by TLC. Tanshinone Ⅱ A showed a good linear relationship at the range of 0.106～2.12?g, r =0.9996. The average recovery was 98.6%, and RSD was 1.48%. CONCLUSION: The method established is simple, feasible and reproducible. This study provided a method for quality control of Huoxuejiangu Capsules.

Objective To investigate the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) after intragastric administration of icariin to senescence-accelerated mice (P8 strain).Methods A total of 20 healthy male senescence accelerated mouse P8 (SAMP8) mice aged 6 months and 10 senescence accelerated mouse/resistance (SAM-R) mice with the same age were divided into model,blank,and icariin groups.Mice in the icariin group were intragastrically administered icariin in a 0.5％ sodium carboxymethyl cellulose suspension (0.01 ml/g).Mice in the model control and normal control groups were intragastrically administered 1 ml of double distilled water.Intragastric administration was done once a day in each group,for eight consecutive weeks.Spatial learning and memory abilities were detected by Morris water maze test,Expression of BDNF in mouse brain tissue was determined by immunohistochemistry and Western blot assay.Results At 8 weeks after intragastric administration of icariin to senescence-accelerated mice (P8 strain),Morris water maze results showed that escape latency was shortened (P ＜ 0.05),and the number of platform crossings was increased (P ＜ 0.05).Immunohistochemical staining and Western blot assay showed significantly increased levels of BDNF (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions These results suggest that icariin upregulates brain-derived neurotrophic factor and improves learning and memory functions in hippocampus of the senescence-accelerated mouse.

Objective To provide suggestions for the safety management of printing inks and the establishment of food safety standard for food contact materials.Methods The laws,regulations and directives related to printing inks from different countries were collected and the differences among different management models were analyzed and compared.Results The safety management models of European Union,Switzerland,Germany,US and Japan were generalized and their experiences in the management measures of printing inks were summarized.Conclusion Safety standard of printing inks for food contact materials should be established on the basis of industry status and the various safety risks of different inks.Management experiences of other countries should be considered and the participation of industry associations should be encouraged.

BACKGROUND:Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)are widely utilized as seed cells or carriers in bone tissue engineering and gene therapy.Thus,how to obtain BMSCs with high purity arose more attentions of researchers.OBJECTIVE:To observe the effects of different separation methods and culture conditions on biological characteristics of rabbit BMSCs.METHODS:BMSCs were obtained by whole bone marrow culture,density grand centrifugal and red blood cell lysis.At 48 hours after culture,the cell numbers were counted,the time of passage was recorded,in addition,the cell morphology was observed by phase contrast microscope,and the CD44 antigen expression was identified using flow cytometry.The 3rd and the 7th generation aging cells were cultured with DMEM-LG,MEM-HG,and DMEM/F12 culture medium.MTT and count cell plat were used to evaluate the growth of BMSCs.Phase contrast microscope was used to observe the morphological changes of aging cells.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:BMSCs could be separated by each method.The adherent cells showed shuttle or multiple angle shapes,with rich cytoplasm,and positive for CD44 antigen.The more cell number and shortest primary culture time was presented in red blood cell lysis group(P ＜ 0.05).DMEM/F12 could promote the proliferation of quiescent cells.And the cells prevented the better viability.The method of read blood cell lysis improving the efficiency of BMSCs adherent is an effective method of extraction of BMSCs.DMEM/F12 could promote the proliferation Maybe,DMEM/F12 is more suitable for BMSCs.

Objective To analyze the risk factors of intracranial infection after neurosurgery and the effect of vancomycin.Methods 28 cases of craniotomy in this study, The First Hospital of Ningbo City from January 2011 to July 2014 during the years after the occurrence of intracranial infection patients as the research object, a retrospective analysis of the age, gender, emergency, basic diseases, mastoid airroom, ventricle drainage, posterior fossa surgery, reoperation and operation time (more than 4h).The clinical data, summarize the risk factors of postoperative intracranial infection in department of neurosurgery and to observe the clinical effect of vancomycin in the treatment of such patients.Result The high risk factors of intracranial infection include: Open mastoid gas room during operation, ireoperation, ventricular drainage and operative time (more than 4h).In 28 cases with intracranial infection after craniotomy, the total effective rate of vancomycin treatment was 100.00%.Conclusion The high risk factors of intracranial infection after operation include open surgery, mastoid room, reoperation, ventricular drainage and longer operation time.Vancomycin is an effective drug in the treatment of intracranial infection in the department of neurosurgery.

The effect of 5 store methods at 3 different temperature on ice nucleation activity of INA bacteria were evaluated. The results showed that some store methods could decrease the ice nucleation activity. The effect increased as the temperature of increased. The effect on survival and on activity is different. Different strains had different susceptibility and adaptability. It was found that the freeze-drying method storing at -20℃ and freezing in sterile distilled water storing at -20℃ could be used for most INA bacteria.
