1.Effect of epidermal growth factor on glomerular epithelial cells cytoskeleton
Chinese Journal of Nephrology 2005;0(07):-
Objective To study the changes of adriamycin-induced glomerular epithelial cells (GECs) permeability and cytoskeleton, and to explore the role and possible mechanism of epithelia growth factor (EGF) on adriamycin-induced glomerular epithelial barrier function. Methods Rat GECs on Milicell-PCF Inserts were exposed to adriamycin (0.5 ?mmol/L) 24 hours in the absence or presence of EGF. The paracelluar permeability to BSA and cell viability were evaluated. The expression of F-actin and alpha-actinin were analyzed by immunofluorescence and Leica laser scan confocal microscopy. Results After induced by adriamycin for 24 hours, paracelluar permeability to BSA and F-actin reorganization rate increased. Disassembling of cortical cytoskeleton architecture was observed. Stress fiber in cytoplasm disappeared. Alpha-actinin staining showed perinuclear enhancement, which is different from normal cytosolic pattern. EGF significantly reduced adriamycin induced effect. Higher level of BSA passed through GEC monolayer in a dose-dependent manner. EGF prevented adriamycin-induced cytoskeletal reorganization. Disassembled cortical cytoskeleton was recovered, and stress fiber appeared again. Alpha-actinin staining mainly exhibited cytosolic uniform distribution as control GEC. In addition, administration of either AG1478, a specific inhibitor of EGF-receptor tyrosine kinase, or U73122, a specific inhibitor of PLC? before EGF treatment attenuated the EGF-mediated effect, whereas neither AG1478 nor U73122 exerted influence in the absence of EGF. Conclusions Adriamycin increases GEC paracellular permeability to BSA as a result of adriamycin-induced cytoskeleton disassembling and disruption. EGF may prevent adriamycininduced cytoskeleton reorganization and maintain glomerular epithelial barrier function through EGF mediated EGF-EGFR-PLC? signal pathway.

Objective:
To learn the health literacy status, trend and associated factors of Ningbo residents from 2015 to 2019, so as to provide basis for developing health policies and interventions.
Methods:
The monitoring data of health literacy of Ningbo residents from 2015 to 2019 was collected. The health literacy level was calculated and standardized by the population data of the sixth national census of Ningbo in 2010; five-year absolute growth and growth rate were used to reflect the changing trend. Multivariate logistic regression model was employed to analyze the influencing factors for the health literacy level.
Results:
The health literacy levels from 2015 to 2019 were 15.44%, 21.73%, 22.41%, 27.60% and 30.03%, with an annual increase trend ( P<0.05 ). The five-year absolute growth and growth rate were 14.59% and 94.49%. The Results of multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that the year ( OR=1.158, 95%CI: 1.132-1.184 ), age ( 25-<35岁 years, OR=1.235, 95%CI: 1.039-1.468; 35-<45岁 years, OR=1.416, 95%CI: 1.193-1.681; 45-<55岁 years, OR=1.221, 95%CI: 1.024-1.455 ) , education level ( primary school, OR=1.790, 95%CI: 1.461-2.195; junior high school, OR=2.574, 95%CI: 2.102-3.154; high school/vocational high school/technical secondary school, OR=4.863, 95%CI: 3.943-5.998; college or above, OR=8.829, 95%CI: 7.109-10.965 ) , urban areas ( OR=0.934, 95%CI: 0.874-0.998 ) and occupation ( farmers, OR=0.692, 95%CI: 0.608-0.787; workers, OR=0.746, 95%CI: 0.664-0.837; enterprise staff, OR=0.822, 95%CI: 0.745-0.906; others, OR=1.106, 95%CI: 1.009-1.211 ) were the influencing factors for health literacy level.
Conclusion
The health literacy level of Ningbo residents shows an upward trend from 2015 to 2019, which are associated with age, education level, area and occupation.

Modern Clinical Nursing 2015;(5):5-7
Objective To evaluate the effect of health education on preventing birth defects in community in terms of knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) for married women in reproductive age. Method A self-designed general information form and a questionnaire on KAP of married women′s preventing birth defects were used to investigate the KAP among 300 married nulliparous women. Result The average rate of cognitive knowledge of birth defects was 60.8%, the average rate of cognitive behaviors was 59.2%, and the average rate of cognitive attitude was 67.4%. Conclusion In order to reduce the rate of birth defects and improve the quality of births, we should implement three-level prevention education system, enrich the health education methods to enhance the knowledge, attitude and behavior of married women.

Objective To study the expression of angiopoietin-like protein 3(ANGPTL3) mRNA successively in kidney of adriamycin (ADR)-induced nephrotic rats during the development of proteinuria, and to disclose the possible assosiation of ANGPTL3 with proteinuria. Methods Adriamycininduced nephrotic rat models were established by a single injection of adriamycin via the tail vein. Glomeruli and cortex tubuli of rats were dissected by laser microdissection. Real time quantitative RT-PCR was used to study the expression of ANGPTL3mRNA in kidney of ADR rate at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days successively following adriamycin injection. Results (1) In ADR rats, urinary protein and the level of triglyceride and cholesterol in serum increased significantly at day 14 (P

Objective To investigate the cerebral CT appearances of toxic encephalopathy of tetramine and improve the recognition on this disease. Methods Four cases of toxic encephalopathy of tetramine were collected and their cerebral CT appearances were retrospectively analyzed. Results Cerebral CT appearances in acute phase (within 8 days): (1) cerebral edema in different degree. CT abnormalities consisted of cortical hypodensities and complete loss of gray-white matter differentiation. The CT value were in 11-13 HU, and to be watery density in serious case,(2)subarachnoid hemorrhage. It demonstrated the signs of poisoning hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy in chronic phase. Conclusion The cerebral CT appearances of toxic encephalopathy of tetramine had some character in acute phase and it can predict the serious degree of intoxication, but there was no characteristic findings in chronic phase.

Objective: To verify the hypothesis that cells with characteristics similar to bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) can be isolated and cultured from human fetal articular cartilage. Methods: Human fetal articular cartilages were harvested from fetuses aborted between 12 and 20 weeks. Cells were grown in monolayer cultures in IMDM medium containing antibiotics, L-glutamine and fetal calf serum. Cells were induced to differentiate into adipocytes, osteoblasts, chondrocytes, and neurons. At various time points, parental and passaged cells were subjected to FACS analysis to determine cell phenotype. Results: We successfully isolated and cultured MSCs from human fetal articular cartilage. These cells had the same morphology, phenotype, and ability to differentiate in vitro as MSCs of bone marrow origin. Conclusion: This study shows that cells with characteristics of MSCs can be isolated and cultured from human fetal articular cartilage.

Objective: To study the protective effect of glutamine on intestine in mice damaged by radiation. Methods: Mice were exposed to 137 Cs rays (dose of 4Gy) with the whole body. The protetive effects of glutamine on intestine radiational damages were studied. Result: After radiation, GSH contents, SOD activities, protein and DNA contents were decreased and MDA contents were increased in intestinal mucosa. Villus height was shortened, crypt depth was deepened, wall width and villus surface area were decreased. Glutamine supplement restrained the changes of indices above mentioned and made them close to normal levels. Conclusion: Glutamine supplement had the protective effect on radiation damage in mice.
